Hopefully Matteo would qualify automatically for Wimbledon, he’s ranked 105 and there’s usually several in the top 100 who don’t play due to injury. That’s assuming he’s not still injured himself of course.

Sara Errani and VavaVoom have just won the mixed doubles- defending their title. Which given how this year's tourmament is going , is no mean feat.

I'm pleased for Sara, since she's missed out on things with Jasmine.

Not heard anything about the US Open's plans for the the mixed this year (S and A won it last year ) - will they repeat the controversial 'mini' tourmament from last year , or have a proper one for actual doubles players?

Yes, well done Errani and Vavassori! The Italians are doing well. Vavassori is in the men's doubles semis and they are guaranteed a man in the singles final aswell!
