Well Max and Jack are both similar in many ways, I wouldn’t choose either of them.

At least Max would amuse you before he cheated on you/shot someone. With Jack there's no amusement.

80s I think the fostering is mentioned in upcoming spoilers.

I don’t fancy Max myself or Jack and Jack, but I agree that Max probably laughs his women into bed and can be funny and has a certain charm. His had enough practice hasn’t he. Probably good to be friends with if you can overlook his many faults or need a second hand car.

I do quite fancy Jack, although against my will because he is a moany bastard 😆

Re: Kids - in the good old days ‘the kids’ were always at Pat’s or Dot’s when the parents were out getting pissed - sometimes half a dozen of them. Those women did a LOT of free childcare, fag in hand of course.

Jack’s fun side comes out now and then, but he’s no prize. None of the men in EE are.

Considering the publicity for ‘the week that changed everything’, this week’s episodes have been underwhelming.

Maybe George offs Eddie tomorrow thus completing the dad killing circle.

Packing him off to prison would seem less dramatic.

I’ve been a bit underwhelmed too… I’m not convinced George will off Eddie tomorrow I don’t think he’d look so chilled at new year

also don’t get how max’s life will change forever unless we find out he’s slept with Priya off screen and she’s up the duff (duff duff duff duff duff duff)

None of the spoilers for next week hint at Eddie dying.

Max looks like he smells of a nice masaftershave and you would definitely have fun with him before ending up wanting to kill him.

Jack is shouty, dull and wears coats that are too small for him.

Nooooo, Max smells of fags and is sort of hairless, like a newborn kitten.

Now Zack, on the other hand….

Max has slept with Priya and she will almost certainly be up the duff duff - who's the daddy, Ravi or Max.

I loved today’s episode. Mainly due to Max. Him and and Cindy having a row is always good and I loved him fumbling with the voice note. And Priya is drawn to him like a moth to a flame because he is basically another Ravi. Looks like she is in the NYD bed. If so it’s pretty disappointing we all guessed straight away! It still could be Stacey though. He did throw in a comment about ‘only getting one person you feel like that about in your life’.

They really overloaded these episodes though, there was no need for all the rubbish about the prawn blinis. Or even Jordan.

There is a lovely scene today with Priya 'negging' Max.

I thought that Priya was a bit desperate today.
She is gorgeous, she doesn’t need to be like this with men. I really wanted Max to just send her on her way.
Now she’ll have a hold over him and that’s never good with secrets on the square snd at work. He is an idiot.

I think she was so hurt by Ravi shagigng her and leaving that she wanted validation wherever she got it.

I think Priya is great in these type of situations, when she is angry she is really feisty and funny. She was great when Nish was around. She has been quite boring lately, weeping over Ravi or Nugget's latest tragedy. So I am glad she's got something a bit more dynamic to do.

All Max's women have been way out of his league but he's got... something.

Yes, I understand why Priya was doing it, but I wanted Max to resist her. He isn’t what she needs.

Other than him turning down Zoe one time, I can't think of another instance where he turned down an opportunity...

I just found it depressing that one problem with Cindy and off he goes again :(

So are we going to have two “who’s the Daddy” storylines ongoing - for Penny and Priya?

I must say, Max is one of my favourite characters. Not in the sense of being likeable, but because I think he is so well-developed as a character. There are many shades of Max - impulsive, unreliable, vulnerable, avoidant, angry, sensitive - and he’s so well scripted and acted, right down to the last mannerism.

Oh yes, another ‘ who’s the dad ‘ ? Storyline?
I suppose that by NYD, Penny will have discovered that Harry is her baby’s dad and then it’ll be Priya’s turn to do the DNA test. It may be a red herring though and she isn’t pregnant at all. That would be a first. The pregnant woman NYD is someone entirely different

He only turned her down because he thought he was in with a chance of Stacey didn't he?

He did put up a bit of resistance with Priya. But minimal 😆

@HighburyHope Max has become one of my favourite characters too, which has surprised me because I never used to rate him. He is more interesting this time round, always very watchable.

I think that was during the period Zoe was wearing the same jumper every day and looked like she needed a good shower so I don't blame him.
