Bailey was very clever. I bet she is doing well in Spain!
Felt sorry for Denise today. When they get it right they do a good job.
Next week is more Bea and Honey and Bea targets Billy! How is Honey getting on paying that credit card back or is Bea managing to pay it ? ( or Might have been forgotten! )

Denise's chemo sounds horrendous. I know I would be thinking about not having it tbh!

Tonight’s episode was not just sad it was traumatic. The detailed description of the possible effects of the chemo were really frightening. They did it well for once. I would be so scared in Denise’s position.

Yes, she had to tell her the risks of the treatment didn’t she. It was very sad and worrying.

I appreciated the detail of the chemo treatment, it seemed credible and it did make me think how I would cope in this situation. But I can’t get much invested in her plight as we know she’s fine on New Year’s Day.

What if she isn't actually fine? I mean, do we actually see her on the NYD FF episode? I thought she was missing from it and we didn't know why? I hope it's not because she loses her battle with this hideous leukaemia 😫

No, Jack mentions NYD that Denise has gone out and we get the impression she’s kind of stormed out the house. So she is around but we don’t see her at all.

We saw her prepping for Max’s wedding in the NYD episode. She looked fine to me.

You’re right, I was thinking of Chelsea. We didn’t see Denise in the NYD episode.

Do we see Denise NYD ? We saw Chelsea. I really don’t think we see Denise at all ., but I am usually wrong lol

So I've just checked. We don't actually see her on screen. But Jack does mention she has gone out and left her phone behind. So yes, I assume that means she survives!

No, it was Chelsea with a white dress of some kind..

I seem to remember it was Libby calling her (Libby’s name flashes up on Dee’s phone), but I am also usually wrong! 😂

Yes. That's right.

I remember seeing Libby on the phone too.

We do see Libby in the house and she picks up Denise’s phone and says ‘ guess who it is’ or some like that.
Jack was at the police station. He said ‘ I’m going to ring the bride’ and we see a few phones go off.

Nicola tries to have her ‘half Christmas ‘ next week. Which is scary to think we shall be half way through the year and I remember her one last year when she was going to try and dig up Shireen’s body that time!

DH had Denise's sort of chemo but there was a lot more preamble...tests ( liver, kidney, heart, lungs) to check he would be able to withstand it, Hickman line insertion and the scary talk several days in advance. He was also " get to hospital today- they are expecting you".

DH's treatment took two years.

I suppose they have to condense it.

I forgot about Bailey.
I hope Denise survives this, she’s a great character. It’d be shit to lose another good one, those children have lost so many people.

Yes, the children have been through so much.
It was a hard watch.

Kim is great, they’ve a special bond.

I like Kim , always have done.

It was a sad but well done episode today, lots of great acting especially from Kim and Denise. Even the men were good. Max with Jack was great. The honestness of Squiggle and Chelsea too was refreshing.

The only thing I didn’t care about at all was Oscar’s negative chlamydia result (though good he and J&J don’t have it), him almost telling the whole market about it, and now Jasmine and Josh seem to be best mates again. WTF?

Agree the Chlamydia thing didn't need to shoehorned into that episode.

Agree Max was good tonight. He plays silent but supportive quite well IMHO!
