Yes it's so odd isn't it. They were supposedly drawn to each other like magnets and unable to resist. Yet now they barely glance at each other!

Drunk Kathy did say they were getting it on and she had no complaints in that department.

But yes, they don't act like a couple.

Yes, to Cindy (not sure we needed to know that!). But it's like they put them together and then had no plans for them, they are hardly ever seen together.

Harvey was never seen behaving romantically with Jean either. Kathy is stunning and very unlikely to have chosen a man like him tbh as she goes for good looking charmers. Plus he was her ex-husband’s Rocky’s best friend which seems to have been conveniently forgotten.

Eddie’s death was a big anti-climax. I thought George would end up smothering him with a pillow since this was meant to be a ‘life-changing’ week for him.

Lauren won’t have an affair with Mark. She doesn’t want to be like Max.

If Kat thought the prawns were poisonous why didn’t she throw them away instead of carrying them around the Vic in Tupperware?!!

Putting cindy and max together was a terrible idea imo

Obviously she'd hate him 😒

Everything is done for shock or soap value but nothing is thought out long term

I think they did do this once - it was just after the Carters came in, so quite a while back, and it was Mick and a very attractive dark haired woman who was only in it for a couple of episodes (can’t remember her role). They were flirting a bit, and then there was a “moment” when it was clear that there was attraction there but it wouldn’t go any further. It was indeed quite refreshing. They should try it more often.
Instead they just have people hopping into bed (or up against a wall, in a office, down an alleyway, whatever) immediately, and the inevitable pregnancy scare afterwards because apparently no one in Albert Sq has heard of contraception.

Didn't Peter have that type of 'moment' with a mother at the baby group last year? But he is so dull he barely noticed it himself😆

@Eastie77Returns Eddie's death was a total anticlimax wasn't it. I don't understand why they bothered with this storyline, it's like Harvey and Kathy all over again - what's the point? (And I agree Kathy goes for Rocky types, not dull Harvey types.)

It's interesting you think Lauren won't go through with an affair. You're right that she doesn't want to be like Max but it's really looking as if she will.

Pet ahh met the burlesque dancer mum at a play group for Jimmy didn’t he? Lauren was laughing about it with Penny at one point. That fizzled out, but he seems unaware of Mark’s perusal of her. Unlike Max who is well aware of it! Maybe Lauren finds out about Priya , but keeps quiet. She isn’t a big Cindy fan is she. She might like having something over her and her dad.

The actor who plays Harvey had an op on his knee I think and was out of action for ages , so maybe this is why they are rarely seen together and not had any storylines for a while , even at the wedding they didn’t seem like a couple. Although I guess she kept away from him as he was poorly! I don’t blame her really.

Kathy was really hard nosed about winning over Harvey from Jean , she still hasn’t forgotten about that has she! Even though Jean has hardly been around since Christmas and goodness knows how she pays for the bills for that house since her return from seeing Lynn.

Not sure Eastie if Lauren will stray or not.
Lazy writing if she does, but she has helped him out a lot and he is very persuasive. She did have a ons with Zac, so she isn’t immune to the attention of unsuitable men. I hope she doesn’t. He is bound to get another love interest and she’ll be jealous. He won’t let it go. It would be good to not see any more affairs , but soaps run on them.

It would be exceptionally lazy writing so I'm hoping they are planning some kind of twist and maybe...gasp...there is a storyline where someone just remains faithful to their spouse! I believe it has been known to happen😂

But to be honest, it shouldn't be this much of a struggle for Lauren to respect her marriage vows. She is addicted to the adrenalin and drama, another Cindy. And sadly enough Peter is another Ian. In love with a woman for whom he just isn't enough.

Hard agree that Pet ahh isn’t enough for Lauren.
Mark is an alpha male isn’t he. She may resist him.. have to see.
Cindy looked happy today didn’t she. They are funny together. Even if it is really unrealistic, it sort of works somehow. Unfortunately he strayed with Priya ..she still has that hold over him now. He can’t fire her either.

The last Peter mightve been enough for Lauren - this one looks like her brother 😄

I did feel a bit sorry for Ian today. Not sure why as he’d the first to be gossiping and so on, but he wasn’t aware it was Jordon that was injured. I know that’s a poor excuse etc.
Maybe George will be written out of it now. He isn’t fully engaged and seems ready for a break from it all.
Elaine was good today I thought and Gina.
Dee needs to tell Chelsea what is going on ( and the others)

On a very trivial note, I did like the orange blanket that Denise had round her today. Looked cosy.
I assume that Vicky and Ross are in Majorca now and Zac will need to find a new home!
I did also wonder if Priya and Max didn’t have full sex with each other and it will be Ravi’s baby if she is pregnant, but going by what she said today, I am wrong I suppose. He looked sheepish.
It’s all bound to come out eventually 🙄

Peter is so dull I can't think who would put up with him. He's duller than Vicky!

Lauren wants the likes of Zack of Mark, except once she got them she probably wouldn't want them either. I will be surprised if there isn't at least a ONS because they have been flagging it up so desperately for months now.

80s we know George is still there next January, looking pretty smug with Nicola. He does seem very bored with it all now, his character hasn't worked since he left the Vic.

I wonder if George has a break and comes back to Nicola in a few months time. Maybe send him off to see Anna and Freddie somewhere.
I had forgotten we see him NYD and he looks fine but he doesn’t say anything.
I would just put the money towards the businesses ( which she said she was going to do ) and let it go.
He isn’t that interested in the restaurant either it seems . They all run themselves most of the time.

The restaurant seems like a plot device, the square does not need yet another bar/restaurant and even the owner isn't interested in it! It just seemed to be there to instantly lose money to facilitate Eddie's brief stay in George's living room.

No, the fusion idea was good, but George isn’t interested in it really and didn’t listen to Nicola’s reasons for wanting the money to bail them both out.
Is Harry still working in the arches with Kojo?
He never seems to be there.
How all these businesses run themselves is a mystery isn’t it. It is a bit of a bug bear of mine , I’ve never run one , but they make it look easy and it can’t be.
They swan around not doing anything.

You use to see Ian working in the chippy, amd sometimes Beale's eels, but who runs those now? The Vic is the only one bar market stalls where you actually see the owner working.

The Eddie storyline was unnecessary, agreed.

I sort of hope that Lauren & Mark do have an affair. She’s a good actress and Lauren is a great character, plenty of spark about her…for purely dramatic reasons, she is wasted on the cosy domestic set up with drippy Pee-tah. I think she suited Zack actually. Although he seems to have turned psycho over Vicky (goodness knows why!).

I don’t like Cindy & Max together. Bring back Stacey!

The stall owners put a shift in for sure and Tracey at the pub.
The pies you never see at all and Cindy used to have shares in the pies shop.
We did see the chippy the other day, but who actually runs them all is a mystery isn’t it.

Lauren and mark do make a glamorous pair.
Pet ahh is just a bit part. He always was with her.
His back seems alright now.

@BitLippie I agree with everything you say except Max and Cindy - I love them. And of course there's also Max and Priya, also brilliant.

Why are they doing a postmortem on a terminally ill man whose death was expected.

The Ian stuff is just annoying because we know he doesn’t go to jail, and in six months it's as if nothing happened.

Chelsea is annoying me. But so is Denise, her behaviour makes no sense except for more ‘drama’. If she doesn’t start treatment she won’t be around to help Chelsea at all. Why do they have to load more onto an already dramatic storyline.
