I am less impressed this time. Miles just would not be with that awful girl and they are lawyers not social workers, they’d have kicked her out. Egg’s football stuff is just silly. It seemed realistic then now it seems very unbelievable

Watching it again and really enjoying it. I always hated the fact that Egg was called Egg and still do.

I’m a lawyer because of This Life! Watched in my mid to late teens and wanted to be Anna. Ended up being an in house solicitor managing a team. I do work in London, but it’s absolutely bloody nothing like This Life and never has been. What a let down!

Same here he was in something recently with Sue Johnson and I thought oh Eggs Dad

Fully interpreted this as ‘That’s Life’ when I clicked on the thread. It’s actually a relief that it’s not Esther and the ‘Sossigis’ dog who are having a renaissance.

I watched it as a young teenager and ten years later was disillusioned when my London houseshare and general lifestyle was tame and boring 😄

Surely it was repeated once already, decades ago? Cos I remember the first time thinking, poor old Egg, and the second time, what a self-obsessed jerk Egg was! I'm the same with Egg's Dad, though. And Egg's Dad (Paul Copley) is not to be confused with Steve Evets (Farmer Jim in Brassic, Colin in Rev, and much else)

Loved This Life. I was at uni at the time. Bloody hated Egg being called Egg. Can't believe he went on to become Rick Grimes!

Anna was an outstanding character. I too can't believe Daniela didn't go on to be more famous like the men did.

He was a baddie in Silas Marner (tv film with Ben Kingsley)

I liked it (in the update episode) that Anna was the only one who stayed in the law and had a successful career.

Ramon Tikaram got on a tube train I was on a few years ago. I bet there were many who would have liked to take my place that day.

I always hated the character Delilah and like you, didn’t think for a second Miles would go for her.

But I’ve enjoyed rewatching them all (again). I just loved the series first time around so maybe it’s a nostalgia thing.

I think Anna had all the best lines. But Daniela Nardini is so fantastic I’m not surprised they gave them to her. Her delivery is impeccable.

I went to see The Magic Faraway Tree at the cinema with my 11yo at the weekend and squeaked “Ferdy” when Ramon Tikaram appeared. She was baffled, of course.

I’m sure I read an interview with Daniela Nardini where she said afterwards the only parts she was offered were variations on Anna and she needed to do something different.

I was at uni when it was first out and was always disappointed that wasn’t how life was once I moved to London. My own fault moving in with a boyfriend and not a houseshare.

Never understood Millie shagging her boss, ive never been attracted to power I suppose it always felt so grim. Though as an adult totally understand egg was hopeless.

I watched this as a young teenager at the time, again about a decade ago and am now on season 2 on iPlayer. I bloody love it. Just sums up a time to me - pure nostalgia of a simpler decade. Still love Anna and Warren. Miles, Egg, Jo and Ferdy are all 😋 Hated Millie when I was younger, but finding myself having more sympathy for her in my middle age!

I always think of This Life when I see Andrew Lincoln as well and can never quite accept his character in Love Actually.

I was surprised when I discovered Tina in Eastenders was Kira in This Life.

Loved Jack Devonport, and especially his voice.

Also had a very soft spot for Warren.
