Mal is dreadful.

Bernie is panicking.

Ma Driscoll is horrendous.

Kit is still fit.

Ronnie and Kevin's new double act is quite entertaining!

Debbie is still in prison.

Hope is still as cheeky as ever.

Brian has lost one of his favourite books!

It's all happening in t'street

If I were George I would refuse the money. Especially now so many people seem to be getting wind of it.
It doesn’t look good if he decides to take it!

Shellingbynight · 27/02/2026 15:30

Annie seems to think the deceased was coerced. But I agree for a bequest of £10k it isn't worth arguing about, it would cost more than that to contest it. Although of course if George backs off, she's got a free £10k for the cost of a solicitor's letter.

George should refuse it anyway, and Christina should shut her gob. 🤐

AmusedMaker · 27/02/2026 15:54

I’m not sure why the daughter is creating such a fuss tbh. People are entitled to leave their money to whoever they please, it’s not George’s fault he was left money in a will. The daughter wouid literally have to prove George coerced her mother into leaving hm the money, & I’m not sure how she’d do that?
sorry, but I’m on team Christina with this.

Did anyone notice George reacting to the auld wifey's condition before he'd even looked at her?

I hope it's not too long before Jodie's called out on her behaviour, I've had enough already. I also hope it'll mean she's gone rather than turns into a nice person.

In the few seconds that I lifted my head from my phone...I noticed that as well !
Something was definitely 'off ' with that scene .

the80sweregreat · 27/02/2026 16:19

You’d be upset about the will, but ( from speaking to other people ) families are often scammed by other relatives out of inheritances and it doesn’t go anywhere . They have been told by lawyers, ‘ not much you can do ‘. George should sort it out legally I suppose or refuse the money.

I agree. And George is supposed to have been running the business for decades and has no past form for coercing people out of their money.

The storyline would make more sense if he had either been left a substantial sum or a property, but £10,000 isn’t a lot in this day and age. It’s the sort of amount that someone might leave as a thank you to someone.

The really absurd part is naming Christina too

bizzey · 27/02/2026 16:48

Christina was named in the will ??

eggandonion · 27/02/2026 17:23

I wish someone would leave me a cool 10k! I love a good inheritance thread.
I thought Jim was in hospital in some other city so couldn't understand why Steve and yer man went and came back so fast. Imagine him being nearby. Surely Amy would have been to see him.

bizzey · 27/02/2026 17:27

I didn't think Steve and Ben went to see Big Jim .
I thought that that went off to Weathy county football stadium/grounds for a tour ??

Shellingbynight · 27/02/2026 18:44

Ben and Steve did go to the hospital. They sat parked outside, had a chat, and then Steve said he couldn't go in, so they left.

I cannot imagine having a relationship with an undertaker I'd leave them £10k. My mother's funeral directors were very nice but they were just doing their job, they are not getting a mention in my Will! Obviously this is Corrie where everyone does bizarre things, but it's still questionable for George to accept it.

bizzey · 27/02/2026 19:35

@Shellingbynight thank you !
That completely passed me by .

Sometimes I wonder why I sit down and watch the sops sometimes , as I really don't concentrate very well !! 😅.

My dad's Funeral Directors got a thank you card from us .

the80sweregreat · 27/02/2026 19:50

All I’ve ever had from any funeral directors is the bill.

thenightsky · 27/02/2026 21:01

I'm just catching up on missed Thursday. When Jodie is cooking in the Platt kitchen and singing Gold, the worktops go all the way round the kitchen area. I'm sure there used to be a door through to the new extension into the garage in the left hand corner.

SabreIsMyFave · 27/02/2026 21:21

Urgh, Jodie is such a creep, sneakily coming home to stop Shona and David's 'romantic night.' Hmm

And so it was Kit who attacked Mal! Bernie knows something is up though. She'll get it out of him. They always do on Corrie. Nothing stays secret for long!

Detective Swain is off desk duty again, and can now get back to her mediocre detective work!

Geroge is not having a good time! 😬

Ooooh, I never noticed that! I will have a look next time it's on.

It shows the full kitchen again tonight. No door to the garage extension, just worktops and unit.

thenightsky · 27/02/2026 22:02

And tonight, when Shona is sat on David's knee whilst presenting him with brownies, are there 2 baseball bats on a holder on the wall behind them?

FlibbertyGibbitt · 27/02/2026 22:44

I thought the silver edges on David’s worktops looked a tad mucky 🤷‍♀️

bizzey · 27/02/2026 23:13

I need to remember not to delete my recording until I have read this thread !

HesterLee · 27/02/2026 23:52

The door to the extension has definitely gone from the corner of the kitchen. I wonder if they access it via the hallway now?

HesterLee · 27/02/2026 23:56

Or did they and I completely missed it or fell asleep ! 😅😁😁

HesterLee · 28/02/2026 00:22

I honestly dont think it's actually been shown yet. Maybe they are waiting for Audrey to get back. Or I have also totally missed it 😴
