Why didn’t Timothy see to the poorly baby while Joyce delivered the baby. She would have had oxygen in her kit. Why didn’t she use it?!

I seem to remember Joyce saying, to Timothy, that he had to come back for the birth, otherwise it wouldn’t count towards his rotation.

Surely Sr Catherine would go and say the offices with Sr MJ. They’d never just sit in the chapel on their own!

Literally everyone in this season is just so wholesome. I want the finale to reveal that Sister Julienne has been running a crack den all this time, using midwifery as a cover.

And Timothy is an East End pimp.

And Trixie has secretly murdered her dull husband and is lying about him being in the USA.

And Violet is diverting council funds to pay for her new house in Spain.

Cyril starts a cult.

How is Trixie going to be Matron of the Lady Emily if shes constantly going back and forth to New York? I thought she stopped working for them as they were doing illegal
abortions.

I was thinking this, although he’s junior he is a qualified doctor now, would have made much more sense for Timothy to leave and deal with the baby. Joyce said it wouldn’t count towards the rotation if he wasn’t at the birth but surely that doesn’t matter when there’s a dying baby?

He’s coming back to the UK apparently isn’t he, but in 1971 it would have been very unusual for a woman who’s married in to the aristocracy to be working as a midwife even if it was in a private clinic!
Also was wondering if Trixie is going to have an affair with the lady Emily doctor

You’d think that not helping a dying baby would get him into more trouble than missing a birth. Although he’d probably be more like a rabbit in headlights with that. I can’t imagine they’d place him in a practice where both of his parents would be his supervisors!

I dislike the Cyril and Rosalind storyline I guess they are supposed to be around the same age but she seems so childish and he seems so mature

I don't think Mr Trixie was an aristocrat. From what I remember his father was a big slum landlord who somehow got a baronetcy (probably bought it)

To his credit, Mr Trixie didn't approve and tried to put things right.

ETA I also have no idea why Dr Tim didn't work on the baby and was left to deliver the other one.

I think Cyril is quite a bit older than her. I would say in his mid 30s at least. He’s been in it over 7 years.

Rosalind is only early 20s as she joined 2 years ago as a trainee midwife.

I guess there is a bit of an age difference but they both look a similar age to me.

Random thought. I wonder if the name Cyril will ever come back into fashion for babies again.

The only Cyril I've ever known was my uncle who would have been over 100 now. It's overdue for a comeback but I can't see it somehow.

My FIL was a Cyril. He’d have been 100 this year.

I wonder whether we married into the same family. My late ex-FIL had an older brother called Cyril who would be around 100 if he was still alive.
