Wow! GB women’s curlers have just beaten the USA with their last stone!

Up yours Steve Cramm, who had all but written them off (can you tell I think he’s a dick?).

He's so gloomy that he does my head in. What a shot though.

HollyGolightly4 · 18/02/2026 15:29

Snow slope not quite as high calibre today, but enjoyable.

Currently watching the biathlon relay. The scenery is just stunning!

I'm in Spain this week and at a resort frequented mostly by German tourists. The only Olympics I can watch is on Eurosport Deutschland. They're showing a good range of different sports so it's an interesting comparison with BBC coverage (even if my German is sub par). There's a lot less curling on for a start which is a blessing!

i was in Paris for one Winter Olympics. And had the coverage on in the hotel whilst getting ready to go out in the evening. And it’s quite interesting how different the coverage is. Lots more of what the French are good at and where they’re medal
interests are. Understandable and makes sense.

Tiramisuforone · 18/02/2026 16:38

curling 😩the tension! I can't cope (not sarcasm)

What a finish! Well done Rebecca for keeping the team going and getting the shot of the match!

I was getting ready to go out when it looked like the match was possibly not going our way at all.
Very well done to pull it back.
Was happy to see that men won very comfortably too. Now got to hope either Itlay or Norway lose on Thursday, to secure a semi final spot. otherwise, we miss out. (I think).

Yes, it looks pretty hopeful for GB really, Canada should win, and the Swiss team (playing Italy) are unbeaten.

FuzzyPuffling · 18/02/2026 18:00

I watched some women's aerial ski this afternoon. Bonkers!!!

Yes I just thought Italy may surge one of the commentators said

also
they are the home team - I can’t see it though as you say

harder road for the women - apparently Japan have lost all their matches - wonder why they turned up..oh well it will be a confidence boost for our girls if they win again 2 In One day

Great ski from the GB men to take 5th place in the Cross Country skiing sprint team relay - beating a lot of the big cross country skiing nations such as Austria, Germany, France, Finland and Sweden

WendyHoused · 18/02/2026 18:12

Oh my goodness, the men's hockey!!!

Yes I was amazed at that!

The Ice hockey was exciting. Canada won in overtime.

dapsnotplimsolls · 18/02/2026 18:16

I've been half-watching, I swear that hockey game lasted around 4 hours ...

Well done Canada!

WendyHoused · 18/02/2026 18:22

GOOOOOOOOOOOOAL

Canada's men's hockey team scored after 1m20s of the golden goal overtime.

Their previous game was a 10-2 smash. Czechia did brilliantly to almost unseat the favourites.

(I know I'm whistling into the wind and no one else cares, but I bloody love hockey. So much grace and swooping across the ice like magic)

EleanorReally · 18/02/2026 19:28

big air is fantastic
