So sad. Much of my childhood was looking forward to Dawson’s Creek on T4 on Sunday mornings.

It also helped me a lot when my dad died, as comfort vieiwng.

Another bit of my youth gone. So sad. He seemed such a nice guy, too.

Dawson's Creek was a little after my time but i know how huge it was, very sad news although recently he looked so unwell it's sadly not a surprise

Not disrespectful, OP posted assuming everyone would know. I didn't so I asked. I also googled, and someone else told me too. I still don't know who he is as I never watched Dawson's Creek, however sad that a young person has died.

RIP. Was he ever in anything else besides Dawson's Creek? I do remember him having a cameo in one of the Scary Movie films, as Dawson.

No age at all. He looked skeletal when he appeared on video at the Dawson’s Creek reunion so it’s not hugely surprising but still very sad.

He got diagnosed with cancer five days before I did, very sad news.

It was stage 3. Some people live with a stage 4 diagnosis for a number of years. I’m not familiar with stages but I always thought stage 3 wasn’t great, but not terminal.

Im sad at this news. I wasn’t a Dawson’s Creek fan but I knew of James. He was in maybe a few Rom Coms I’ve watched over the years. It’s sad news, but I kind of suspected it was coming after his recent video appearance instead of showing up in person. He seemed very gaunt and blamed it on stomach flu I believe…

He played "himself" in the underrated comedy Don't Trust the B_ in Apartment 23 with Krysten Ritter.

He was a massive crush of mine and Dawson's Creek was an integral part of my teenage years. I have the theme song on my Spotify playlist.

His poor wife and young children.

I never watched the show but it’s always sad when someone dies so young leaving behind children and a partner.

Two of my friends have had bowel cancer recently- both aged 48- it does seem to be becoming a lot more common in younger people.
