Grants return just made the radio 2 news. Says for a storyline involving dementia which is what we predicted. I imagine there will be a scrap between him a Phil for good measure

Oh not Grant. Another character who needs to stay in the past like Zoe and Spencer. I don't mind him returning for a couple of weeks to say bye to Nigel, that would make sense. But a longer stint where he and Mark trying to out-macho each other ... just no. It'll drag Phil down too.

Lily was with the slaters , but when Alfie left he only mentioned Tommy and the twins. Lily hasn’t been seen in weeks , or Charli.
So many have disappeared.
storm: Howie left before Christmas as they found out he had stolen the money from Patrick that time and Kim and him split. He was also stealing on the job as well delivering parcels , but taking them instead!

80s I don't remember Howie having an actual exit? Kim told him to go, there was a scene with Denzil.... but what actually happened? Has he gone but Denzel still lives with Kim? It didn't feel properly resolved.

Janine and Michael were epic

What is the point in bringing back grant? Just focus on the actual characters you have 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

I can understand Grant returning for a few weeks for Nigel, but he really does not need to get involved with Mark and his drug gang.

I wonder how they are going to explain Clare not coming to see Nigel. The actress is working on Hollyoaks so unlikely to turn up in Albert Square.

Denzil is still with the Foxes. He told Kim that Howie was staying with friends. He hasn’t been mentioned since! I know it feels unresolved, but Kim was pretty cut up and didn’t want him back.
I feel it was an axing that was like Martin, so that new people could be brought in. Not sure if the actor wanted to leave , which may have been the case too I suppose.

Who is the ‘ big boss’ of this drug gang? The police won’t get too far with only Ravi on the pay roll to find them! I suppose Mark will discover Ravi’s involvement eventually and end up in car chase or a car in the river or someone being shot at!

Thanks 80s, I had forgotten that conversation with Kim. I think he was axed, I doubt we will see him again. Denzel doesn't seem too bothered!

I expect Grant will save the day with Mark somehow! I do hope this drug gang thing is over soon.

I had completely forgotten about Howie. How does that work with Denzel though? Are we to believe he's cut off his dad and staying with Kim now?

I don't mind Grant. Any screen time away from Zoe and Jasmine.

I don’t think Nicola was that high up. She seemed to operate just a notch above the street dealers and kept saying to was answerable to the unseen higher forces.

I also forgot about Howie. I do remember Kim saying Denzil could stay with her when she threw Howie out. Bit implausible that she would take on her ex’s teenage son especially as she is supposed to be broke.

Oh dear. The scenes with wooden Grant and wooden Mark will be a treat to look forward to🙄

Maybe one of the drug lords is Max! Hasn’t shown any examples ( apart from having money and not working ) but might explain why he knows Mark new years. Although that may only be because of Lauren ..
