The car storyline is stupid.

Maybe the producer is a train enthusiast!

I can see the actor who plays Oscar leaving next year for bigger things, but the writers won’t kill off his character or Lauren because that would be three of Max’s kids that have died, I don’t think the writers would do that. Lauren and Oscar also have a lot of ties to other characters, especially her. Which is why the ‘Sophie’s Choice’ element of the New Year’s Day episodes (2026 and 2027) didn’t and won’t work. No suspense.

I agree about Oscar going off to do bigger things someone upthread said they were reminded of nick from my family which I see, maybe in 10 years or so we will see him in death in paradise

Yes I agree we may not keep Oscar for too long as the actor will want to move on. But they won't kill him off.

Loved Priya’s reaction to sending the prescription to the pharmacy on Turpin Road.

I'm confused with the rat storyline. So Phil phoned a few people and got Mark out, but he needs to pay 100k, by when? Now surely these people will want a name from Mark, or has Phil said that Mark doesn't know who the rat is? But at the beginning of the episode I'm sure Mark told Vicky that he had given Ravi's name out so he has to die. If they do know the rat is Ravi then they will just find another Mark to kill him

Did Mark tell the honchos that it was Ravi ?

Haven’t watched today’s yet but don’t tell me Phil is opening his magic safe up again to bail out faammmily? Last time Sam returned he gave £100k to the dealer she stole from. Honestly, wish I had a brother/uncle like him!

Phil has not offered to open his magic safe, it was quite shocking that he didn’t, maybe Grant will have to open his magic safe as Mark is his son/myson. Atm Mark is left to find the 100k by himself, he has possibly got around 10k from stealing a car from the car lot

I'm not sure drug kingpins take deposits...

Turpin Road is a new one for me. Has it always been mentioned on EE?

Turpin Road was often mentioned in the old days, The Dagmar was on Turpin Road. It doesn't get much of a mention nowadays.

The awful rapist James Willmot brown ran the Dagmar once. Turpin road sounds more Corrie than EE though

Nice speech from Phil to Mark.

I love the dynamic between Lauren and Oscar, but Lauren and Max is switching back to the old toxicity and isn’t doing any favours for either of them.

So Julie still isn’t working, presumably living rent free at Phil’s.

It was so obvious Mark was going to steal the car. £20k minus the minion's cut, he'll need a few more of those. Maybe Phil will end up opening the safe.

It's going to be spot the train sound till December now.

The humour was good today , but the car storyline was clunky.
However, a similar thing happened to someone I know decades ago , so it’s a cautionary tale to not leave the car with the keys in it. I know this was for a plot purpose!

where is the other 80k coming from ? Going by NYD, either Max is the head honcho or nobody discovers that Mark was behind this scam as they all seemed friendly with him! Good acting by Ravi and Priya.

I don't think Mark/Lauren had left the key in the ignition. It looked like the guy whole stole the car grabbed the key off Lauren and hit her when she wouldn't let go of it.

Phil mentioned Sharon today! I hope she is back soon … the gym needs her.

He wouldn't get 20k for the car, whoever buys it will want it cheaper than rrp, then minus the other guys cut, it'll be around 10k he gets. Altho with the writing atm it wouldn't surprise me if they say he gets 100k for it

He'll need to steal another 9 cars then! I think Uncle Phil will have to step in at some point.

Silly Lauren taking the paperwork out with her, Mark lives two minutes from her , she didn’t need to do that.
Plus Mark from abroad seems to know half of London’s underworld. The mystery is how ?

I suppose we shouldn't look for logic as Mark had to have a way of stealing the car, but it did make Lauren look really stupid.

They haven't bothered to give Mark any type of backstory apart from "recently moved to London and was immediately immersed in drug dealing".

Much as I hate the whole storyline, Ravi has been really good in it.
