Jimmy was great and Ian did look right at home with him didn’t he . Oscar and Max made me laugh today , Lauren too with her ‘ this isn’t the 80s’ line to her annoying dad! The Brannings are fast becoming the funny ones arn’t they !
I do feel a tad sorry for Ravi, but it’s hard to think you would forgive making your own son having epilepsy and all the other stuff his done. only on a soap eh?

Agree good acting by Ravi but I have no sympathy for his self pitying nonsense. He's done terrible things to people and karma is coming for him.

Also agree the train sounds seem foreboding.

The train noise was today too I think? I did hear it before as well. I hope he isn’t going out of it.
The way they have treated Nugget , wouldn’t be surprised if he is next for the chops

Will Priya ever start work ? Will she be constantly getting Max a vanilla latte ? Or opening up empty filing drawers? They only have a few cars on the forecourt , what will they all do ? I suppose Priya won’t do that job now tbh.
It’s easy working for Lauren though , the children are never around and Oscar plays Nanny/ baby sitter whrj they are around .. No wonder she looks fabulous!

Max playing mini basketball gave me ‘ the office ‘ vibes today. They only need a stapler in jelly on the desk now.

Who actually looks after Jimmy though??
Do they just rotate him between the grandparents (who all work so not sure how much they can help). Cindy offered to help out when she moved in but her offers usually don’t amount to anything concrete! Childcare is always a mystery on EE. I remember Lily telling Sam that Charli doesn’t go to nursery yet so again…who looks after her when Lily and Ricky are at school?

Ian was very good with the kids, that was a nice scene.

Priya is right that Ravi needs help. But in order for therapy to work you have to reveal the reasons you are struggling. And he can’t go in there and say he is a drug dealer turned police informant and battered his son half to death (oh and killed Nish).

Lauren is going to try to prove herself to Max and muck it all up - pretty much guaranteed!

Children are a mystery with regards to childcare and only used for either the odd cute time or when they are poorly or a ‘ who’s the daddy ‘ storyline !
Pet ahh works ( occasionally) and now Lauren is at the car lot , Oscar is supposed to be selling fruit , but hardly there. Louis must be looking after Jimmy ! Lol
I hope that ‘myson josh ‘ isn’t terrible , he’ll be around soon.

Mark easily shrugged off Ravi’s confessions didn’t he. He has a bit of leverage there now.
Whoever these baddies are who want to harm Vicki , they are certainly taking their time about it.

Max with his bonsai tree! He and Lauren act really well together.
Oscar makes every scene a good one!

The Brannings being centre stage is really cheering me up. It’s better than miserable Zoe and Jasmine , although that will be back soon :(

Wondering how Mark will deal with the Ravi Rat situation. My guess is he will tell the drug lords that he has killed him and then make Ravi disappear to keep up the pretence (maybe to get help with his mental state. He can get treatment at the same place Denise went to, she recovered from her breakdown in two weeks). When Ravi reappears he will no longer be in danger because in true EE style the entire storyline will have been forgotten.

I was surprised Priya didn't accept Jack's offer of going into witness protection. That would have been a quick, easy and safe way for the whole family to leave and start again somewhere else. Afterall, what is keeping them in Walford?!?

I was surprised that Priya didn’t want witness protection, but she probably isn’t thinking straight and thinks she can ‘ fix’ Ravi I suppose.
Eastie; I do agree that Ravi needs the same place that Dee went to and maybe Mark will tell the drug head honchos that Ravi is now six feet under.
I can remember Phil being smuggled out the country once, but he returned and everyone soon forgot about it , so it’ll probably go the same way here !!

I think Mark will name someonelse as The Rat (some random he's worked with). That is what I'd do if I was a drug lord's minion. The Higher Ups will believe it, because the substitute will be liquidated at the same time Ravi was 'retired' so the rat activities will stop. Mark may be too thick to think of that though😆

Mark isn’t very bright is he , but maybe Priya might come up with a cunning plan? It’s bound to end up in a tense shoot out , but nobody actually gets killed !

I am surprised that Nicola ( who started a lot of this ) hasn’t hardly been seen. Her baby is due next month and she has a lot of history , but nothing much has happened with her. She seemed to be a big part of NYD , so she must feature more soon ?

@the80sweregreat Are you sure Nicola’s baby is due next month?? She barely has a bump and I’m sure it was only last month or she was 4 months or so and had the gender reveal.

It is funny the number of times Phil has been on the run from the police (with his “make me invisible” black beanie) and then waltzes back onto the square and none of the authorities notice or care.

Nicola's baby is due in June.

When is MySon making an appearance?

I feel like EastEnders used to be a lot more spread between families. These days you see two or three families for a few weeks, whilst the others are nowhere to be seen. I'm not sure I like it as much.

I thought that Nicola found out last august she was pregnant, but I’m usually wrong ! 😂
The Foxes are involved next week with myson’s storyline, so will see more of them, but it is bitty with who we see or not isn’t it and some characters are now bit parts. Kat has disappeared again too..

@the80sweregreati had completely forgotten about Oscar and Lauren being kidnapped!!!
I was thinking about the kids being mentioned and if one of them was vinny’s there’s the Ravi link but I just can’t see Lauren and Max getting mixed up in the drugs thing so back to the drawing board. But then it does seem Mark is involved… gah

I really hope nothing happens to Lauren and Oscar, Oscar is a breath of fresh air and I don’t imagine Jaq Jossa will want to leave, saw her on some tv cooking show and she’s an EE mega fan, Adam W and Michelle C were saying she remembers all the old stories and how people are related etc (we could do with her on here)

I don't think Oscar or Lauren will die. And if the 'gunman' is Ravi, he's more likely to turn the gun on himself. (I am now imagining Ravi having spent several weeks completely deranged in a bunker like Nish in 2024.)
