caught up last night. I really want to hate phil as he’s been a horrible bully in the past but when he does nice Phil I get quite emotional
when he told Nigel to repeat his vows after him I was actually crying. Then the bathroom scene. Oh goodness

I think Phil has been really improved and mellowed out by his experience a year ago, and then the Nigel storyline. It annoys me when Mark goads him to be 'ard man Phil just for his own convenience.

Mark is being morphed into Grant 2.0 even though I don't think he ever bloody met him !.
Maybe hearing all the Oh your Dad did this stories from the folk in the Square who knew him..

I predict Nugget will take the car for a spin egged on by someone . Not Ricky/Amy/Denzil as I hope they'd be sensible . Certainly not Barney . Don't think Avani would be so daft .

Mark could get under his skin, pretend to understand him Yeah my Dad was a wrong'un Hard Man, I get you then suggest they go off to some industrial park to practice........because Ravi will let him down and be "too busy mate" to take him out for driving lessons (ie he'll be on A Job )
We'll see Nugget on the A12 ((which will actually be a tiny back road in Leytonstone) and the blue lights will suddenly appear...

I just realised you are right about Mark @70isaLimitNotaTarget they never met, certainly never spent any time together. And I doubt Michelle was full of praise for Grant. So why is he Grant 2? It is such an outdated type of character, lazy stereotype.

I think the Nugget car plot is going to be short circuited, Ravi has wasted his money because Nugget has a seizure next week. So he will not be able to drive, no speeding up the A12 for him!

I agree that Mark is rather old fashioned, but the new producer isn’t keen on modern characters.
Although a love triangle with Oscar is a bit more racy I suppose, but it was done before in 96 with Tiffany and two other men.

Poor Denzil ended up crushed into the Argy Bargy by Kim, so he;ll be "WTF Nugget you don't even have your Provisional licence yet "

Nicola was looking very judgily at Ravi in the club, honestly how the rest of them didn't catch on. If she'd shouted "It was your Dad who beat you up" I don;t think the message would've been clearer .

So my storyline :

Nugget has a seizure
Ravi says "I need to sent the car back"
Nuggest is all "That's not fair"
Uncle Vinnie will be all "Oh that's tough , " ( 'cos he's a wet weekend in Grimsby type)
Mark will drip the poison. He want to properly get Ravi and won't care how .
Nasty Nick was only scuppered by the death of his son Ashley .
Nugget will be Ravis downfall.

Getting Ravi in a fight with Mark maybe ?
They won;t kill Nugget off I don;t think

70s, does Harry and Nicola know it was Ravi who beat up Nugget? Like you, I feel that they do, but all H told his mum was that Ravi had escaped out of the arches ( because he didn’t lock the back door) and I wasn’t sure that that they cared much beyond that really or had much of a clue. However, Nicola is very switched on and may have guessed. It is a horrible storyline though

Love the idea of Nugget doing his boy racer bit up the A12 ! It’s a nasty road , you need your wits about you for that one.

Aren't Nugget and Avani in the same school year? So if Nugget is 17 now, Avani can't be too far behind, surely? If they have a 10 month age gap, they could just keep the car for her!

Avani is resitting her exams isn’t she. She is 16.
Ravi will have to keep the car for her as Nugget won’t be able to drive it if he has epilepsy ( Poor thing. His health isn’t great isn’t it )

Barney must have supersonic hearing being able to hear the conversation over the noise of the music coming from the where he was sitting outside (was that the Café or the Albert ?)

Does anyone know why Grant MK2 seems to have a relationship with Uncle Phil if he's never met Grant or had a relationship with him?

Sharon spent time in the USA with Michelle so she'd have spent time discussing her ex husbands I'm sure ,

I can’t remember it, but Mark jnr was in it ten years ago ( not sure if it was the same actor or whatever?)
Phil mentioned something about ten years ago and someone else on here said that he was interested in Courtney , who is his half sibling! That had to be stopped apparently, but again , I don’t remember any of it.

Wiki tells me Courtney and Mark returned for Peggy's funeral ten years ago, I was watching but I don't remember either of them!

Mark has definitely met Grant. I remember they had a drink in the Vic. It was after they both rescued Ben who had been kidnapped and beaten up by a gang for reasons I can’t remember. Grant knew he was Mark’s dad as Phil told him after the Ben rescue but Mark was unaware. I remember the scene as it was quite funny - Mark was saying he gets very hot-headed, rushes into things without thinking and he didn’t know who he gets that from as his mum is not like that😂. When Grant was last on the square he secretly took Mark’s number from Sharon’s phone but not sure if he ever contacted him. It’s not really clear when Mark found out about Grant being his dad.

It was a different actor. He is currently in Emmerdale. He sounded quite posh and completely different from the current Mark!
