Well, we soared through the last thread again, so here's a shiny new one!

Corrie is pretty much based around the tragic death of Billy at the moment. Bernie is starting to lose the plot a bit, and ended up in a hotel room with a strange man who is the husband of someone Roy has been chatting to. (It's all a bit confusing!!!) Then she ended up unconcious in the ladies toilets!

Todd and Theo are still together - annoyingly - and Carl (Debbie's brother) has just heard Theo blabbing to Billy in his coffin how he's not a murderer, and he should have saved him, and so on. A guilty conscience, or self pity? (I'm guessing the latter.) Carl was listening (conveniently!) and smirked when he heard Theo 'confessing,' but I'm not sure what he's going to do with the information. Especially as shortly after, Theo saw Carl doing some dodgy dealing with some blokes, and he photographed him. So, they now have 'something' on each other!

Not much happening with the Driscolls at the moment, and Ma Driscoll and Eva have called a truce. But for how long???

Shona and David's new little baby (Harper) is still a bit fragile.

Shiny faced Megan Trainer the Siren who has men (and boys) eating out of her hand, is showing an unpleasant, dark side, after practically threatening Sam (Nick's son) if he blabs anything about her and Will.

And Carla and Lisa have inexplicably made up, as if nothing has happened. On the plus side however, at least we have got rid of the dreadful Undead Becky storyline.

Probably some more bits and bobs to discuss, but I'm sure we'll get to them soon.

Theo set Todd up to let down George (head undertaker and Todd's friend), Todd and George had a row and George sacked him. All part of Theo's evil plan - ensure he loses his job and alienate him from his friends so he is dependent on you. But that fizzled out. It does feel a bit like they are running through 'abuse by numbers' unfortunately.

So this Mal character has ditched his wife of many years .. I suppose over the phone and moved from Inverness without a care in the world ! Doesn’t seem too upset , doesn’t have to return to Scotland to get anything or sort out his life - just brings his tool bag and now can live and work in Weatherfield ?!

If Mal is Alice, what is his connection to Roy?
I imagine the story he’s telling is all lies. He’s probably never lived in Inverness but has spent the past 30 years living in a flat on Tile street.
Poor Todd. He looks like a little boy being told off by his overbearing Dad these days.
I really hope he gets the help he needs soon.
I’m assuming Bernie spent the night in hospital due to a bad reaction from the drugs she took?

dev and Christina would be a more realistic match, I don’t buy her with George to be honest. Anyone else want to rip Bernie’s hairpiece off!

Plus mal and Bernie seem more well suited.

I have been reading Entitled - the book about NotPrince Andrew and Fergie.

Apparently the fake name she used for hotels etc was Sally Metcalfe

I think Bernie's hairpiece is sticking out like a sore thumb because Jane Hazelgrove has had her hair cut in real life so it doesn't all catch up in the ponytail.

I agree it looks like the scriptwriters are going through the list of abuse tactics and ticking them off; there is no depth, like with so many of the storylines.

Although more likely he would be hanging around the bar in Debbie Webster's hotel looking like a poundshop Omar Sharif trying and failing to pull women twenty years younger than him

Has Gary even been seen in the last few months?

Theo have Todd cash when he cut his card up.
(Wish I could find my scissors as quick as that ...nobody ever puts them back the the proper place !!😅)

So I presume Theo is going down a set 'pocket money /allowance ' route with Todd.

If he gets into his online bank he will be able to see if Todd gets a new card and withdraws his own cash .

So Mal is the husband of Alice.
The Alice who has been writing to Roy because Roy has been visiting her son in Manchester Prison .

Bit Mal has not mentioned his son and Roy has not said why Alice and himself were corresponding in the first place .

Have the writers forgotten the first part of the story ???

Bernie's hair is awful !

If the actress has changed it then they should incorporate it the episodes.

Drastic hair cut due to grief or heartbreak...we have all been there 💔.

Plus it looks so dirty and greasy 🤢!

Ohhh and at the party ...I was trying to work out why Summer there and what her connection was to everyone...

I agree. Her whole look, old bag, clothes- everything looks awful. She doesn't seem a good match for Dev at all, who is quite classy. Why do they have to give her such an awful wardrobe?

I thought it was Megan Trainer 😆. Took me a minute, glad it wasn't just me.

I wondered how Todd got £7K into debt in such a short time too. He doesn't seem to have anything tangible. He only lost his job with Archie about 10 weeks ago (mid November 2025,) And he would have a month in hand wages. (I think...) He would be paying rent and bills, (with Theo) but how on earth has he racked up £7K in debt, in 10 weeks? A couple of thousand would have been more realistic and believable.

I am also somewhat confused about this Mal and Alice. I don't know if they are the same person. Has Roy actually spoken to Alice? How did he even get talking to her? I understand she may be someone in jail, or the wife or mother of someone who is/was in jail? I feel like have missed something somewhere. I'm glad it's not just me who is a bit lost here! 😆 I'm sure it will all come out/make sense properly eventually.

But yes, it looks like Todd has got his job back with George. Hopefully, George can get to the bottom of what is up with Todd (and help him.) Then again, you can only help someone who wants to be helped.

Dev's face was like a slapped arse in a thunderstorm all the way through Brody's party. He is angry with wandering Bernie of course, and has every right to be, but that was unfair on everyone at the party, including Brody. He just looked like a miserable, sulking, middle-aged man who was in a mood.

Yep. Spat my tea out at this scene 🙄

Nina should have nipped upstairs and cut Roy's cards up

Roy has also become mates with DS Swain who banged him up without the slightest piece of evidence for murdering a woman who wasn't even dead

I was a bit like 🙄... when Mal just happened to be the electrician Roy called. It feels sometimes, like in the world of Corrie, there's only a world population of about 250 people. And when you walk to a certain point, half a mile up the road, there's just a void, like in Silent Hill. 😆

They're living in their own parallel universe. 😬

I have no idea about the Alice thing. I think Gary could work out that Theo isn't a real friend.

I would say more cheesey than classy but he certainly tries.

He is definitely the sort of bloke who would expect his girlfriend/wife to be well dressed

@SabreIsMyFave I agree about Dev and his slapped arse face! He needed to get over it for the sake of the others. Bernie is in the wrong, but it's very hard to have any sympathy for him because he's such a PITA.

A PP has sorted out the Mal/Alice thing I think. Alice is supposed to be the mother of a prisoner Roy was writing to. No idea how that would work, why would he get her contact details? And Mal is supposedly Alice's husband, but we don't know if Alice exists. I think they only communicated by text, they didn't speak? But I suspect most of that will be forgotten now Mal is on screen to do his evil deeds. He must know someone in Weatherfield, you don't end up there by accident. Please tell me he isn't connected to Jodie.
