I imagine they're all driven off at night to return to their hotel but the traitors' cars just turn round and come back to the castle. So it's all done after all the others are away.

I think I have read elsewhere that th turret scenes are filmed in a studio elsewhere near the hotel so they all leave, return to hotel then traitors go out to film those sections

Yes, and most of the people commenting on her steely ruthlessness and saying they didn't warm to her because of that get called misogynistic.

Yet by the same token, other people are saying they liked her her warm, motherly kindness towards some of the other contestants. Surely by bringing up those attributes, it could be viewed as misogynistic as well, yet nobody has mentioned that.

I mentioned that forcing Rachel into the warm, maternal role because she’s a woman could also be twisted into being misogynistic.

Shes does not come across as a very warm person, certainly not to the extent that it’s a defining characteristic of her. A part of that is going to be the editing. Hugging peope isn’t really evidence of warmth either. People liking you doesn’t have to mean sweet as butter either - she was a leader and older than hem. We don’t all have to be warm and lovey-dovey!

Rachel was tough, as was Harry, who played a wild game of manipulation - some love him, some hate him.

Charlotte was very strategic and brutal when sh enlisted Freddie as cannon fodder, but came across as much more lighthearted and smiley as a person than Rachel. Some of you need to deal with it.

BoxingHare · 25/01/2026 12:06

I thought Rachel had genuine warmth alongside an ability to stay cool, calm, and collected when under pressure.

Rather than the faux warmth of over excitable people who gurn all the time, tell people they barely know they love them, and are hugging every other minute.

Rachel is the real deal for me.

I don’t find the UK cast duller; it’s just different.

We all have our own preferences.

I don't find the UK cast dull either. I rarely enjoy anything American, some dramas are OK. Faux celebrities from reality shows? No thanks.

fairydust11 · 25/01/2026 13:02

Wow what a final! 👏 Stephen and Rachel, they did so well after quite a few scrapes!

I think Stephen has definitely got a career in the media after this if he wants as he seems very likeable. Rachel definitely deserved it too.

As for Faraaz’s “Grandmas done meh” that was just a laugh and not ageist at all in my opinion! He was just joking that he completely changed his mind after speaking with her and believing her.
I actually think he came across really well, extremely laidback in such a high stakes game and didn’t mind at all that he didn’t win, he just seemed like he thought the whole game & scenario quite funny.

Choccyp1g · 25/01/2026 13:14

Faraaz admitted on uncloaked: he was there for the free food.

Choccyp1g · 25/01/2026 13:15

He said he didn't like heights, but he looked so happy in the helicopter, I'm smiling just remembering his delighted face.

That’s the kind of thing my DS would say.

I liked Faraaz. He’s quite droll.

ZappyDays · 25/01/2026 13:26

The penny dropping for Faraaz after he was voted off at the end was so funny! “You know what, it could be Rachel and Stephen ….” Long pause, realisation dawns. “Ahhh it’s definitely Rachel and Stephen. Idiot!” Hahaha! Brilliant!

I've read exactly this. They all drive off individually but the traitors' cars go on a little trip and then return to wherever they film the turret. Lots of contestants have explained that people are constantly being called into the diary room so there is no chance of spotting a pattern.

It must be quite a logistical nightmare to organise things so you don't give the game away.

I reckon they all go on one bus and that the black cars are just for show - my friend was on come dine with me and he said they filmed the bit in the taxi gok g round the block then they had to find their way home themselves

No they don't go on one bus, they use individual cars. The range rovers we see on screen stay on the estate and then they get into cars off camera. They can't have any contact with each other outside the castle/ off camera, even in rest days. It all sounds rather stressful and isolating and i would hate it.

Htcunya · 25/01/2026 13:46

I thought they were kept very separate at the hotel, no conferring, so not sure about them all piling into a bus. When they chat in the castle there will be cameras everywhere. Also in the cars going to missions.

I would like a complete breakdown of the organisation behind the scenes!

How do you know? They may have chaperones

we don’t actually see how they go - the films of the range rovers is just a standard clip - I really don’t think the bbc pay for 22 separate range rovers and 22 separate hotels

Htcunya · 25/01/2026 13:51

They should do 'A day in the Life of a Traitor/Faithful'.😁

Of course it would probably ruin the atmosphere for future shows.

Zach from series 2 did a Q & A about what is like to be in the series. He couldn't answer some questions because of the NDA but he did talk any this sort of thing. Also Minah from series 3 talked, possibly on her Instagram, about how awful it is stuck in the hotel with no tv or phone. She told a story about not being allowed to go for a run but being able to go outside to run round a field but a member of the production team had to chaperone her and played Taylor Swift on their phone for her run to.

I'm fascinated by behind the scenes details so tend to read a lot of content that focuses on that aspect.

It all sounds a lot longer and more stressful than appears on camera.

They absolutely are kept apart in terms of cars. As far as the hotel goes, they all stay in the same place but there are security guards/production crew that sit in the corridors to make sure no one leaves their room.

The “Turret” scenes are filmed in the castle but the room is elsewhere (ie not in the actual tower).

There have been lengthy discussions about it all on TRIE so that’s my source!

I loved Stephen and Rachel as a team and was rooting for them all through. They kept the promise they made to each other at the start and Stephen saying at the end that the money wasn’t worth it to turn at the end knowing he could have won himself as Jack was voting for Rachel. They played the game but with integrity and because of this I think they will both go on and do really well out of it.

The BBC isn’t paying, the production company pays - they can’t pile everyone on the same bus 🙄 They all stay in a fairly basic hotel - that’s where cash is saved and corridors are guarded so they can’t confer/ sneak out and see the Traitors returning later etc
