Welcome to Thread 6 of Traitors 2026.

This thread runs at TV pace so do not read any further if you are not up to date with the live broadcast. Whilst most discussion will be on the current series, inevitably people will refer to previous series/players/winners so reader beware if you’ve not seen the 3 previous editions, or the celebrity version.

While we welcome posters discussing their theories and speculating on relationships/connections between players, please don’t post spoilers from elsewhere that may ruin things for those of us who like to see things unfold over the course of the series.

The story so far:

Traitors
Hugo
Rachel
Stephen
Fiona (Secret Traitor)

Murdered
Netty
Ben
Maz
Reece

Banished
Judy (Faithful)
Hugo (Traitor)
Ross (Faithful)
Amanda (Faithful)
Fiona (Traitor)

No murder cliffhanger after episode 6, but Matthew (aka Interchangeable Male #3) has taken an interesting approach. We wait to see what cunning questions Harriet can come up with.

The floor is yours…

This time it’s personal! Traitors 2026 | Thread 5 | Spoiler Free! | Mumsnet

I think she imagines her status as a psychologist is a secret? She hasn’t shared that has she?

Maybe not but she could do better. She is a bit like a sheep at the round table - going with what the others say.

Sheep have gone to the end. Wolves have not! 😁 Meryl, Aaron, Molly... In foreign series too.

Brilliant episode!
I know this is an unpopular opinion but I love Rachel. She stayed calm. And go Stephen.
Rachel vs Harriet showdown will be epic. Though I expect Harriet will be murdered.
I expect the bland ones like Ellie, Jack and Adam to win probably.
But Matthew! What a sneaky bugger.

I can't for the life of me figure out what qs I would ask. Harriet is a lot cleverer than me though.

I am betting my bottom dollar ( or pound) that there are no more relationships. Please, Harriet is not Jessie's mum or Jack's mum or Hugo's sister. 🙄

I really like Rachel too and want her to win. I think she's clever, and also genuine - she was actually attached to Amanda and sad when she went, and didn't turn on her when she could have done. I also believe her that she wouldn't throw Stephen under the bus unless she was really forced to save herself. I also like Amanda and Sam, and Harriet...but don't want Harriet to get the better of Rachel!

helplessbanana · 10/01/2026 11:16

There's not been a challenge involving Claudia's little holiday shack cottage in the woods yet, has there? I wonder when that's going to happen.

Nor has there been a laugh-out-loud challenge either, like the singing down the well one on the celeb traitors episode. How the production team keep coming up with all these new challenges is amazing really.

What I am not clear on is whether an NDA would prevent the contestants telling each other who won? In other words, do the people we are seeing in Uncloaked now already know the outcome? Obviously Ross and Judy would know how far Ellie and Roxy got. They must have to be really careful on Uncloaked not to let anything slip. Though I guess it could always be edited out.

Apparently they all know but am not certain.

If too many know the outcome, & by association their partners, it’s all very high risk?

To be fair it has happened before. In series 2 there were 3 young blonde women - Mollie, Charlie and Evie - who it took me ages to be able to identify individually!

At least they did have the same type of look (even they they don't objectively look alike) this time fair haired baby faced Reece, clean cut, city boy on a weekend off Sam and dark shaggy haired Jack are being mixed up.
If it was just Jack, James and Adam who all at least have dark curly hair that was be more like the three girls with long blonde hair.

myotheraccountsa · 10/01/2026 11:18

ResusciAnnie · 10/01/2026 10:39

I also hate that they call it ‘seduce’/‘seduction’ now. Initially introduced as recruitment and then someone used the wrong word along the way and now they all call it seduction 🙄

I have to start paying more attention overall, eg I totally missed why people seem to hate Roxy???

This thread is brilliant!

I thought Roxy merrily saying that she thought she's the most likeable (cue tumbleweed from the others) in the challenge was hilarious...

WarrenTofficier · 10/01/2026 10:55

I agree - if it was any group other than youngish white men it would be an 'ism' to find it sooooo hard to tell them apart.
I sometimes forget one or more of there because we haven't been shown them much in the edit yet but it's not hard to distinguish between say Reece and James they don't look anything like each other.

It’s fine for the first few episodes, I guess, because of how many there are to start with and some people getting very little to no air time, to make jokes about not being able to tell them apart. However, at this stage (half way through) it sounds very wrong to call them ‘interchangeables’ and not make a little effort in remembering who’s who.

And, yes, happened last year too with one group of women, who weren’t in the edits much the first episodes. That doesn’t make it right and this year more people seem to be doing it for longer.

TheGreenBow · 10/01/2026 11:23

I think it’s simply down to them hardly getting any airtime and all being a similar age. Now that Matthew has been on screen a lot I doubt anyone would be confused about who he is anymore. Same with Reece. But for me, I was still getting confused over who Adam is and I think that’s because I’d only ever seen him twice and that was briefly at breakfast.

But the 3 young women all had long, straightish blonde hair of a similar length and colour tone though and were a similar height. IIRC none of them worse glasses.

With the ‘interchangeable’ young men, they don’t have the same height, type of hair and facial features. Eg Adam is a lot shorter, has stubble/a beard and straight hair. Jack is tall with curly-ish dark hair, glasses and earrings. He doesn’t look dissimilar to James but James doesn’t wear glasses and doesn’t have earrings.

Nara2k · 10/01/2026 11:27

I mean if they were images in a game of guess who they'd be fairly obviously unique 😂

LibertyLily · 10/01/2026 11:31

Late to the party, but I wanted to add my voice to the chorus of dislike for Fiona - what an absolutely odious little woman...I'm delighted she's gone! We lived in Carmarthenshire for six years till September 2024 and if I didn't know for certain it's not her, I'd have been forgiven for thinking she was a woman we knew there - the spitting image and just as nasty/full of lies. That burner phone story was so obviously bullshit! Also can't believe she's only 62 - more like 72 imo.

Otoh, I'm growing to appreciate Rachel and was so pleased she came out on top in the traitor on traitor action! Don't like Matthew at all and hope if Stephen and Rachel agree to seduce him they soon throw him under the bus. Hope they don't murder Jessie who's lovely and obviously very perceptive. Felt sorry for Reece who seemed very sweet. Can't take to Jade who seems utterly pointless, but will probably make it to the end with a couple of interchangeables. I'd like a combination of Harriet, Jessie and possibly James to win...but think that's extremely unlikely.

peacefulpeach · 10/01/2026 11:36

Team Sam. I’d love him to be one who wins now, everyone’s been so dismissive of him. For what? His white male good looks and confidence? Sad really. And enough of the Fiona hate, she was playing a game fgs.

Mimosa3andmore · 10/01/2026 11:45

I think Fiona was genuinely surprised when she realised she was going to be voted off at the roundtable. She really believed people liked and trusted her more than they did.

I think Harriet will ask calculated questions that she can follow up on in the following days, to try and catch the traitors out. She may well outwit them both.

If her questions are too clever she will be in line for murder. She can't oust two traitors before they have the chance to kill.

ContentedAlpaca · 10/01/2026 11:50

Rachel is growing on me. In the beginning her lack of facial expression bothered me a bit but as she relaxes, more warmth is coming through.

She also seems genuinely liked by the other contestants.

We laughed a lot at them having to be the pictures! Faraaz’s beguiling milkmaid pout was exceptional

I’ve warmed to Rachel. I didn’t dislike her to start with but wasn’t convinced about her game play but I think she has sunk herself into the game and is playing it effectively. I agree - I don’t think she would throw Stephen under the bus at this stage unless it was a forced “him or me”.

I like Rachel of the Traitors (to date) and Harriet best of the faithfuls but I wouldn’t be surprised if one of the passenger participants slips through to the end. Its often the way and its quite annoying when someone who seems to contribute very little and just slipstreams to the end.

Its not just about looks though is it? They are all semi background characters with very little to distinguish their contributions. Unless they have some significant stand out feature they are just part of the pack and not memorable enough to consistently attach the right name to the right person.

Roxy, Jade and Ellie look nothing like each other but I really struggle to remember which of them said what as none of them really make impact (beyond Jade’s slightly offended response to any challenge - finally last night she seemed to get the point of the game she had fought to join).

Fiona has the energy of a MN mother in law who creates drama over Christmas every year

I am certain she'd be the unwanted guest hovering in the kitchen offering to 'help' and interfering with everything!

It was worse last night when Adam took off his cap. It was the one feature I'd made a note of in my initial list (Jack - glasses, earrings; James - gardener, sideburns, Adam - cockney accent, cap...)

I thought the imitating the paintings one was really funny this series. TBH the tasks are a pretty boring part of the show usually.

Sam led the attacks on Ross early on which ultimately resulted in Ross’s demise. He was also pretty arrogant in this vox pops which never goes down well with viewers and if he carried that through to the game it may well be why nobody gelled with him enough to pick him for a team. The game is also about building relationships and alliances - he failed at that.

Fiona was exactly the same (and worse) on Uncloaked after the game was finished. She told a pack of lies after leaving the game and scarcely gave Reece a chance to talk (although Ed Gamble should have prevented that).

Yes just like Mollie did with Harry eh? The rule of Traitors that they almost all always ignore - trust no one.
