Welcome to Thread 6 of Traitors 2026.

This thread runs at TV pace so do not read any further if you are not up to date with the live broadcast. Whilst most discussion will be on the current series, inevitably people will refer to previous series/players/winners so reader beware if you’ve not seen the 3 previous editions, or the celebrity version.

While we welcome posters discussing their theories and speculating on relationships/connections between players, please don’t post spoilers from elsewhere that may ruin things for those of us who like to see things unfold over the course of the series.

The story so far:

Traitors
Hugo
Rachel
Stephen
Fiona (Secret Traitor)

Murdered
Netty
Ben
Maz
Reece

Banished
Judy (Faithful)
Hugo (Traitor)
Ross (Faithful)
Amanda (Faithful)
Fiona (Traitor)

No murder cliffhanger after episode 6, but Matthew (aka Interchangeable Male #3) has taken an interesting approach. We wait to see what cunning questions Harriet can come up with.

The floor is yours…

This time it’s personal! Traitors 2026 | Thread 5 | Spoiler Free! | Mumsnet

I mean, the celebs cried too. It does seem like you become very ingrained and folk do care about each other. Which is nice I guess, coming out with new friends you care about.

Yes it's probably me, I am not much of a crier!

I just caught up with it.
I hope Rachel is next. But I fear Harriet is too insistent on biding her time and will be too late to initiate her take down.
I was annoyed too that Rachel and Stephen were allowed to be together and whispering in the confessional when replying to the questions. Whats the point of that when they were told they can lie anyway?
Rachel is awful. I would hate to work with her. Her snarky smile, her way of staring people down, even her love of wearing yellow and blue. I find her thoroughly dislikeable, with no redeeming features at all. I dont think she's a pantomine villain, or playing a game. I think this is a really hard hearted, austere person. Its a game Rachel. Lighten up.

I think this is the worst series of The Traitors so far. I am not enjoying it because of the traitors they chose and the majority of bland faithful contestants they selected to play. They couldn't have picked a less interesting bunch.

Edited

I’m so glad someone can see right through Rachel like I do. She’s an absolute horror.

she reminds me of a school girl bully. Workplace bully, really hope she goes soon

SwedishEdith · 11/01/2026 16:27

Picking up on the "intelligent people get suspected of being traitors" theory, I have wondered if Adam is laying on his Cockney Geezer act a bit. He reminds me of Joe Mangel.

Those cardigans are £400 plus a pop !
Definitely not affordable on a student budget 🤔

cloudtreecarpet · 11/01/2026 16:10

Yes, I think she was and if I remember rightly Harriet pointed that out to Jessie which is why Jessie then voted for Fiona instead of Stephen?

Oh good. I would like Stephen to go further.

helplessbanana · 11/01/2026 16:42

DarkForces · 11/01/2026 16:20

I hope so. There must be more interesting things they can include in the edit than Jessie and the bloody library conversation again!

Yes, but she was 100% right about it.

Yes, but students come from all walks of life, don't they, and what is affordable for one student and their family might be entirely out of the question for another.

I absolutely cannot stand her either. I find her smug and completely full of herself.

I also think she has outed herself with her over the top Amanda announcement then lost her cool and really overreacted to Fiona’s accusation. It was Rachel IMO who made a complete scene of the fallout because she was so enraged that anyone would dare go against her. I hope she is banished soon.

WonderfulSmith · 11/01/2026 17:06

Like said previously you can’t wear anything with branding, logos or slogans. For a lot of people that would cut out a lot of their clothing so I suspect that many people go on a shopping spree before going on and I wonder if you get a budget for just this reason.

Now Jade strikes me as the kind of woman who has a lot of lovely clothes so perhaps she decided to spend the entire budget on a couple of lovely pieces.

Most students don’t have that budget. She mentioned about money before so it’s odd…

Could easily be a gift though or she’s saved up. I’m not finding the spend that surprising as people place different value on things. I wouldn’t spend that much on a cardigan myself and never have done, but that’s because I’d rather save or spend on something else.

TheGreenBow · 11/01/2026 17:22

Maybe Hugo (if he’s her dad) bought it for her 🤔🤣🤣

I think the show has a stylist and it was provided for her just to wear in the castle. Someone on another thread said Tom D wore it on the celebrity one.
I don't watch Uncloaked, but looking at what people have said about Fiona's clothes on it being very different from her show look, it sounds like there is a stylist who keeps them on the straight and narrow!

Like pps, I am not convinced the secret traitor thing is done with. I think they would have built something in so that if a traitor was banished early and the ST was revealed, they'd be able to bring back/keep in the intrigue. I've wondered about Jade particularly.

Stephen nudged her in that direction too, without making her realise he was deflecting suspicion from himself.

His finest hour so far, apart from the fluffy pink jumper.

needmorebooks · 11/01/2026 18:32

Just a weird thought I was just having. Do you think going in shows like this ever harm your work reputation? Obviously it depends what you do but imagine being a client or customer of someone who has lied and schemed so well. I realised it’s a game for prize money but I’m thinking more of Harry in Season 1 and Fiona and Rachel from this series over other players. Do you think you’d see them differently??

ChinFluff46 · 11/01/2026 18:43

Im just not sure I can imagine Rachel taking Matthew's advice.

Quite intrigued to find out what Harriet asks them. They'll probably cut to breakfast at the start and then go back and piece it together .

Just 3 sleeps 🤣. Traitors is genuinely getting me through a hard January Lol.

I would see them differently in that I would hire Harry, Minah, Charlotte and perhaps Rachel. Would also happily be their client or customer. They are smart people who played a game well.

Would absolutely not trust some of the more sheep-ish and " nice" faithful though.

Tom Daley didn't wear a Hope McAuley cardi in the celeb version. Charlotte Church did, but she wore a green one, not the one Jade is wearing.

ScaredOfFlying · 11/01/2026 19:09

I’m intrigued as to whether Rachel is having her hair styled for her or doing it herself. Some of her updos have been really intricate and she carries them off so well, would be interesting to know if they were a feature of her look nefire the show.

But I also find it hilarious that all the rest of them are in cosy jumpers and long sleeves while she is in vest tops and once even a totally strapless one! It’s like she packed for Love Island by mistake!

(Being from NI, she’d hardly be under any misconceptions about the Scottish weather!)

I was talking to my colleagues about this at work on Friday (we're all practising barristers) and all agreed that we'd never go on it for this reason... and obviously all the other reasons which Hugo found out so quickly ha ha

I think it’s a risky thing to do if you have a serious professional reputation to uphold.

I can’t see how Hugo will have helped himself, for instance. Perhaps he assumed he’d be a phenomenal player so didn’t need to worry about it?

I’m fascinated to know find out what Harriet will ask Given they can lie and clearly aren’t going to say anything especially incriminating, I’m really struggling to see what you can ask that is likely to be revealing.

With the clothes, I was wondering if they were told to bring black for the missions, as I’ve noticed this year they all seem to be wearing all black. I wouldn’t manage that based on what I own now.

Jade is a bio-scientist, very maths and complicated stuff from different subjects, and her PhD is in women’s health and pregnancy. I didn’t understand all of it but I think her PhD is about the development of women’s placenta. https://gtr.ukri.org/projects?ref=studentship-2739855 I think it’s a right shame the editing is painting her the way it is. Maybe it changes in the second half of the game. It sucked with Maz that we didn’t get to see his smarts and insight until he was on Uncloaked! Or even find out he was a police officer til his penultimate episode.

Agree that it’s insanely intense in the castle, where you’re cut off from communicating with your usual support network and can’t wind down and share your day to day with them, so you’ll form fast bonds with the people you are face to face with. It’s also a very unique experience they all share with only each other. Think what Fiona said after banishment reflects negatively on her. I’d say she was more “psychopath” than Rachel if we were going that way, but I’m not one for armchair diagnosis! Don’t buy into the “mean girl bully” rhetoric about Rachel either, it’s what’s said about competent women who can build good social support all the time, especially on here calling seeking comfort “cliquey”. I thought she was smiling in disbelief rather thank smirking. I did think what she did to Ross with the “What’s the turret like?” Question WAS really mean! I’m not pro or anti either Fiona or Rachel just giving my views on what’s been mentioning in the discussion here.

I think Stephen will do a sweaty Alan Carr and win it.

I know with the celebrity version they were told to bring a smart black outfit. Tom D said that he didn’t realise it would be for a funeral hence the open shirt.

For the mission with the flaming spears, they were all wearing black. Looked like it was flame retardant protective clothing to me.
