Welcome to Thread 6 of Traitors 2026.

This thread runs at TV pace so do not read any further if you are not up to date with the live broadcast. Whilst most discussion will be on the current series, inevitably people will refer to previous series/players/winners so reader beware if you’ve not seen the 3 previous editions, or the celebrity version.

While we welcome posters discussing their theories and speculating on relationships/connections between players, please don’t post spoilers from elsewhere that may ruin things for those of us who like to see things unfold over the course of the series.

The story so far:

Traitors
Hugo
Rachel
Stephen
Fiona (Secret Traitor)

Murdered
Netty
Ben
Maz
Reece

Banished
Judy (Faithful)
Hugo (Traitor)
Ross (Faithful)
Amanda (Faithful)
Fiona (Traitor)

No murder cliffhanger after episode 6, but Matthew (aka Interchangeable Male #3) has taken an interesting approach. We wait to see what cunning questions Harriet can come up with.

The floor is yours…

This time it’s personal! Traitors 2026 | Thread 5 | Spoiler Free! | Mumsnet

I’m fascinated to know find out what Harriet will ask Given they can lie and clearly aren’t going to say anything especially incriminating, I’m really struggling to see what you can ask that is likely to be revealing.

Agreed it seems a bit of a pointless exercise! She might as well just ask Stephen what colour pants he's wearing.

ContentedAlpaca · 11/01/2026 20:07

I felt bad for some of them the days it rained really heavily. Some were so inadequately dressed for that sort of rain. I would have thought the show would provide suitable clothing for the tasks.

Personally I think Stephen is a psychopath. Only a psychopath from the 1% would tuck jumpers into jeans.

Edited

Matthew is the jumper tucker.

But seeing he wants Jessie murdered - definitely a psychopath!!

😂 I hope she asks something nonsensical like that

No, he's not.

JaneJeffer · 11/01/2026 20:18

He’s not the jumper tucker, he’s the jumper tucker’s son, etc., probably

With the clothes, I was wondering if they were told to bring black for the missions, as I’ve noticed this year they all seem to be wearing all black. I wouldn’t manage that based on what I own now.

I know with the celebrity version they were told to bring a smart black outfit. Tom D said that he didn’t realise it would be for a funeral hence the open shirt.

As someone's (tiny) suitcase was blowing away in the wind at the station on ep. 1 (can't remember who's) they obviously don't just take what fits in the case we see them with at the start.

stillnoideawhatimdoing · 11/01/2026 20:21

what questions would you ask?

Given that the faithful didn't share their questions ahead of time I suppose there's a chance they could ask the same question!

I think Matthews were cleverer than I could come up with tbh. Having now seen that I think I might ask 'who are you least likely to murder tonight, and why?' and 'Which faithful is the biggest threat to you, and why?'....but without seeing Matthews questions I'd have probably said something like 'why am i still here?' and then spent a sleepless night second guessing the answer!

And that Stephen forgets his role and writes “as a true Scotsman, I don’t wear pants…”

I think I’d ask something subjective rather than factual. Not sure how much it would help, but would be interesting at least. Like “who do you regret murdering?” the answer might come back “no one, we love murdering”. I thought Matthew was clever using it as a conversation than an interview though.

Tbh I’d hate to be Matthew or Harriet. They’re sitting ducks for murder now. Getting the smoke mirror is not helpful! Puts a target for murder on their back as it gives them influence over faithfuls. I would murder them asap if I was a traitor.

Subjective questions make sense. I think I'd ask about the ridiculous reason for banishment so far in their opinion.
I'd kill Harriet first!

Matthew is the jumper tucker.

Stephen is definitely the jumper tucker - green jumper episode 5, pink jumper episode 6. Matthew wore a roomy white jumper in 5 and a sleeveless jumper in 6 - both untucked.

Choux · 11/01/2026 20:31

One question that could put the cat among the pigeons would be to ask the gender mix of traitors. As there is a male and a female they may not want to tell the truth. But Rachel would want to say two males and Stephen would want to say 2 females. It could cause traitor tension. Or maybe they would assume Harriet wouldn’t believe the answer anyway and they tell the truth.

I think Harriet will play it a bit dumb to not get too far on the traitors radar. Unless she also goes bold and asks to be recruited.

No, I think they’re safe from murder if Rachel is smart. If those two get murdered and she doesn’t then it puts a spotlight on her as it wouldn’t make sense to murder only two of the three that got the smoking mirror. I just hope they don’t actually want to take Jessie out next, I really like her!

CompleteMere · 11/01/2026 20:36

Rachel should ask if they’ve recruited and then report that the traitors replied that they hadn’t recruited but one of the questioners tonight asked to be recruited and the traitors said yes to him.

The interchangeable faithfuls will probably spend the whole time discussing if the gender was misdirection rather than considering whether Rachel made up the whole thing.

But they could recruit Matthew and then murder Harriet and plant seeds to get Matthew banished as ‘the traitor of the three’. It’s a much more high risk strategy for Rachel though now that Fiona has turned the spotlight on her.

If none of them are murdered I’d think they’re all traitors

LighthouseLED · 11/01/2026 20:41

I think they could get away with murdering one of them but not both

Louielove · 11/01/2026 20:55

Bump

TheGreenBow · 11/01/2026 20:59

If anyone is on Instagram, have a look at the account Brett’s.thoughts. About 5th most recent post.

He suggests clever questions that could be asked by Harriet e.g ask who the traitors are. It doesn’t even matter what they say really but e.g. if they don’t say Rachel, Harriet can lie at breakfast and say that they said her name and then her reaction might be quite telling. Also if Rachel then goes for Harriet it makes her look guilty as she’s the only one who knows that Harriet told them a lie.

Think he also said she could share a few facts about herself to the traitors before the questions e.g that she’s amazing at tennis. And then one of the traitors may slip up in conversation to show they know she likes tennis, but they’d only have known that if they were an actual traitor. He has a lot more ideas too - worth a watch.

Yes, but they said “cat amongst the chickens” on the show
