Welcome to Thread 6 of Traitors 2026.

This thread runs at TV pace so do not read any further if you are not up to date with the live broadcast. Whilst most discussion will be on the current series, inevitably people will refer to previous series/players/winners so reader beware if you’ve not seen the 3 previous editions, or the celebrity version.

While we welcome posters discussing their theories and speculating on relationships/connections between players, please don’t post spoilers from elsewhere that may ruin things for those of us who like to see things unfold over the course of the series.

The story so far:

Traitors
Hugo
Rachel
Stephen
Fiona (Secret Traitor)

Murdered
Netty
Ben
Maz
Reece

Banished
Judy (Faithful)
Hugo (Traitor)
Ross (Faithful)
Amanda (Faithful)
Fiona (Traitor)

No murder cliffhanger after episode 6, but Matthew (aka Interchangeable Male #3) has taken an interesting approach. We wait to see what cunning questions Harriet can come up with.

The floor is yours…

This time it’s personal! Traitors 2026 | Thread 5 | Spoiler Free! | Mumsnet

theres an exact copy on Alibaba for £20

You think people can't tell the difference in quality?! 😂

NewAgeNewMe · 11/01/2026 08:46

Both my dds buy designer stuff from Vinted and often get it authenticated, could be that way? But I’ve wondered about the clothes before and think that they either get a budget or have access to wardrobe full of clothes.

I'm nearly 58 and DH is 61. We've both just got back from a 5k run. Sod off with your Tena, 'certain age' snide remarks, Fiona! I'm glad she's gone and it served her right - wailing that Amanda would have told her, not Rachel FFS. Loved it when Rachel was like well, what is your background, I don't know.

Um ok ?!? Not sure why a simple fact has hit such a nerve. Odd.

Hungrycaterpillarsmummy · 11/01/2026 08:53

I don't think we need to scrutinise how she has the jumper. It could have been a gift, she could have inheritance, it could be anything.
I see threads about people asking how others can have holidays, X cars, clothes etc and the replies are "they have debt and just don't say"...bollocks. lots of people have lots of money for a lot of various reasons.

Cushylife · 11/01/2026 08:53

Harriet is playing a clever game - staying close to Rachel, not openly admitting she has strong suspicions - behaviour like that gets you murdered. If she can continue to look loyal to Rachel, keep her mouth shut - save the dagger till the end - she'll have a better chance of winning.

I’ve worked with someone like Fiona she was a bully to lots of the younger female staff but in that sneaky way. I stood up to her for my colleagues and by her reaction I doubt anyone has in her life.

Because it's insinuating that kind of crap is exactly the same except it's poorer quality, using cheap labour etc It's easily identifiable to not be exact copies and also it's insinuating Jade could never afford the real deal. It's just ODD poo poo someone having something nice.

True but many a time previous faithfuls have done this and get themselves banished for an innocuous reason in the meantime! If only they speak up like 1 episode sooner!

PineappleSunrise · 11/01/2026 08:57

It’s funny, but while I can see all of Fiona’s flaws I don’t hate her. Yes her version of “mischief” looks more like garden variety meanness, but she’s so bad at manipulating people she was out on her ear almost as soon as she was revealed as the Secret Traitor! Her handling of Rachel’s big announcment made her look like a buffoon, as has her turn on Uncloaked. I can’t find it in me to find her threatening, even if I had to work with her. There’s no doubt in my mind people around her would get the measure of her pretty quickly.

Rachel does bother me, though. I don’t think she’s really a nice person who just happens to be very skilled at lying and manipulating people - I think the gameplay we’re seeing is the real her. For example, when Amanda was banished and she was acting emotional, it was clear when she was wiping her cheeks that her eyes were absolutely dry. She’s spoken several times about how aware she is of how she needs to appear to people to gain their trust and stay under the radar, and she’s extremely good at it.

I’ve actually found myself wondering if she’s one of the 1% of the population who’s a clinical (but not criminal) psychopath. Apparently if a psychopath is raised in a stable/loving environment they turn out “normal” except they don’t feel anything for other people and can use them as they need to. Apparently some high flyers in the workplace can fit that profile - I bet it would make for a successful Traitor, too!

Hungrycaterpillarsmummy · 11/01/2026 09:01

One thing I've thought about a few time swaps the moment Rachel explained to Fiona that telling the group about Amanda focused attention to Jade (and someone else I can't remember). And it was like a look of pure dread mixed with realisation from Fiona. She absolutely hadn't considered that angle AT ALL! She was a total fool

I agree. I noticed the tear wiping. I think she is definitely all out for herself. She would be a dream at quashing a bullying accusation at work and turn it around to the other person. Very difficult to navigate around without looking like the arse. Very frustrating person

NewAgeNewMe · 11/01/2026 09:06

I would try to fly under the radar, if I was a faithful and not vote a traitor out, if I knew who they were, knowing that another faithful would likely be recruited.

Yes that’s exactly what I would do. I think it’d be hard to do though as could make you look like a traitor at some point.

Oneforallandallforone · 11/01/2026 09:18

I agree. I said on thread one I’d hate to work with her. She’s extremely manipulative. Didn’t she say initially that she blagged her way into a function saying she was the President’s daughter. That’s not blagging. That’s accomplished lying, which apparently comes naturally to her. While she’s obviously vrry proud of her lying ability, it’s really not something to brag about.

How I'm loving this thread! Watching the series and uncloaked I felt like I was in the minority with my Fiona opinion but you've reaffirmed my faith in humanity. The moment she said her family call her flowery with the truth I got the heebies. She seemed to revel in causing people upset, rather than the usual more good hearted discord which comes with the game. I've come across far too many people of that nature and they aren't usually good to have around. I mean in terms on enthralling television yes, she's great for that, but as a person...think it's the first time in four seasons I actually punched the air to see a banishment.

Agree with both. She just seemed so genuinely nasty to me - very glad she has gone.

Finally caught up with all episodes and Uncloaked. Have read Blood Orange for book club, annoying that I can’t remember it. Matthew interesting proposal. Off to read the thread properly.

I read Blood Orange recently - was that Harriet’s book? It’s great but chilling & I enjoyed it.

Unbelievable that people are being accused of being psychopaths for playing the game they are supposed to, based on edits. Why on earth should anyone of them weep tears for people they have known for a week?

I might add that Claudia might just as well have tapped Jessie or Reece or any of the supposed ' nice' ones, and they would probably have been just as "psychopathic".

NewAgeNewMe · 11/01/2026 09:28

Yes upthread someone mentioned it so I double checked. Feel like I’m in the traitors having read a book by a contestant 😁

I disliked Fiona as much as I disliked John from series 1.

Horrible woman, and she didn't even have the grace to admit she was wrong about thinking Rachel had lied about what Amanda had told her, when she was on Uncloaked.

On her VT to camera, alone, she said she 'knew' Rachel was lying. But then changed her tune. Fiona blowing all that up was her feeling genuinely pissed off. A good game player would have planned how to react, but she acted 100% emotionally.

Then she said on Uncloaked she knew Rachel was telling the truth (to avoid admitting she was wrong, a person like Fiona never likes to admit they're wrong) but just playing along.

She's a nasty piece of work - the embodiment of Professor Umbridge.

omg umbridge, the little giggle is her 'hem hem'!!!!

You need to get the timing right. Harriet has already led the charge on Hugo so now needs to not lead the charge on Rachel but be aware of how others are thinking so that, if they are getting momentum to vote Rachel or anyone else out, she ‘is persuaded’ by their argument to join them and vote the same way. She would be unwise to defend Rachel but saying ‘I’m a bit suspicious of Rachel but also suspicious of X and Y” is a good way to open up the conversation onto others.

Hating someone who is playing a game on tv is a bit dysfunctional in itself - I don't really understand people who so easily hate like this.
Rachel is a player, I agree and to be successful at that - she must ensure loyalty, make people like her, whilst being a little bit scared of her potential too. I think she used Amanda - stayed close because that made her seem more faithful.

But we, like the contestants need to remind ourselves - this is just a game - no one needs to be hating on anyone.

Yes but you don’t Know you Know. You might not know. You’d just think you know. Who is to know? Except the traitors. They might not know who thinks they know (eg. Harriet), but they’re still way more advantaged. And why the traitors haven’t murdered Harriet yet, after her Hugo performance, I don’t Know.

See this is why I wouldn’t be good at this game at all. I’d probably be a Jade and just sit quietly and observe.
