Welcome to Thread 6 of Traitors 2026.

This thread runs at TV pace so do not read any further if you are not up to date with the live broadcast. Whilst most discussion will be on the current series, inevitably people will refer to previous series/players/winners so reader beware if you’ve not seen the 3 previous editions, or the celebrity version.

While we welcome posters discussing their theories and speculating on relationships/connections between players, please don’t post spoilers from elsewhere that may ruin things for those of us who like to see things unfold over the course of the series.

The story so far:

Traitors
Hugo
Rachel
Stephen
Fiona (Secret Traitor)

Murdered
Netty
Ben
Maz
Reece

Banished
Judy (Faithful)
Hugo (Traitor)
Ross (Faithful)
Amanda (Faithful)
Fiona (Traitor)

No murder cliffhanger after episode 6, but Matthew (aka Interchangeable Male #3) has taken an interesting approach. We wait to see what cunning questions Harriet can come up with.

The floor is yours…

This time it’s personal! Traitors 2026 | Thread 5 | Spoiler Free! | Mumsnet

I just caught up with it.
I hope Rachel is next. But I fear Harriet is too insistent on biding her time and will be too late to initiate her take down.
I was annoyed too that Rachel and Stephen were allowed to be together and whispering in the confessional when replying to the questions. Whats the point of that when they were told they can lie anyway?
Rachel is awful. I would hate to work with her. Her snarky smile, her way of staring people down, even her love of wearing yellow and blue. I find her thoroughly dislikeable, with no redeeming features at all. I dont think she's a pantomine villain, or playing a game. I think this is a really hard hearted, austere person. Its a game Rachel. Lighten up.

I think this is the worst series of The Traitors so far. I am not enjoying it because of the traitors they chose and the majority of bland faithful contestants they selected to play. They couldn't have picked a less interesting bunch.

Edited

I'm really enjoying it, probably because the celebrity one whetted my appetite again. Only joined series 2 and 3 about halfway through. But agree with everything you say about Rachel (except maybe the wearing blue and yellow. Hadn't noticed but is that subtle support for Ukraine? If it is, I'll retract some of my dislike - fickle 😄).

Didn't they annoy everyone else by telling them they weren't going to share the Q and As?

I'm wondering if the decision not to share questions/answers is people hoping the traitors will trip themselves up somewhere along the line?

I like the missions 🤷‍♀️
And I’d say yes, go back and watch one! I recommended my mum do the same today as she’s just got into it. UK season 2 was my favourite

Thanks!

The cardigan situation. I like the cardi, I don’t love it. There are other designs on the website mentioned earlier. Can’t remember it now. The issue is washing. These things need to be hand washed. No thank you. So then I put them in the machine on ‘delicates / ‘hand wash’, and they shrink, properly shrink. I’m not buying cashmere/ alpaca/ wool whatever any more. Not even if I was on traitors.

I've got a fantastic wool jumper from Finisterre. Bought in the sale. I love it so much and would be devastated if it shrunk as they don't make that one anymore. So I've never washed it yet 😳. I just wear a long sleeved top underneath.

Lots of posters are saying that they find the tasks/challenges really boring. Is that for this series (are they different from in previous series?) or generally?

I never understand this! I love the tasks, both for themselves and for what they show you about how people interact/play the game. The ones this series have been of a similar style to ones from previous series, although I particularly enjoyed the one with the pictures. The last series had one involving clowns that would have sent me running screaming into the woods, though!

Yes, I agree about how revealing they are. It's interesting to see who works together, who is able to strategise, who is thinking about themselves.
The sheep skull mission showed Fiona up and also told us a lot about Reece when he was giving his skulls away - he was so sad and defeated but did something positive by helping others earn money for the pot.

PinkPanther57 · 10/01/2026 10:43

@SoScarletItWas too - only the winners get any £ (?) Do you get an appearance fee?

If all 20 odd know the outcome now - that means partners prob too - it means 40 odd know (?) Any unwitting slip & all blows. Super impressive no leaks.

Many couples together on show would find it imposs to keep traitor or faithful status from each other too.

If NO prize money for months that might explain things.

Edited

The only contestants who will know who won will be the people left at the end those banished /murdered before then won't know . Apparently they get £100 a day for their time 2 and I assume they also get appearance fees on uncloaked etc and will have to sign something that says they can't talk about anything that happened until the episode is aired.

This is the first series that I've watched properly (every episode and Uncloaked) - I watched a few Celebrity episodes but hadn't seen any of the normal ones.

Lots of posters are saying that they find the tasks/challenges really boring. Is that for this series (are they different from in previous series?) or generally?

I'm enjoying most of the tasks. Even if watching people running around collecting spears or skulls isn't intrinsically exciting, I'm so impressed by the props and find that the costumes and music add to them to create a very dramatic atmosphere.

(Edited to correct a typo)

PS Is it worth watching the old series on IPlayer? Lots of names have been mentioned on the threads and some old players have been on Uncloaked but as I'm still struggling with the interchangeables (I know Reece has he's so lovely and James because he's hyper but still confuse some of the others with each other), I think I'm likely to forget everything I've seen, heard or read about previous players.

Edited

The first series’ missions are the best, they were the main point and got a lot more air time. I felt like the production team stopped trying with the missions after series 1 and they definitely got less air time and air time on the round table was upped.

Thanks. Maybe I need to start right back at the beginning and work my way through alll the ones I've missed on the evenings that the current series isn't on.

I'd bet my house that the photo on AB might be an "exact copy" (ie stolen) but what you'd receive would be a shitty knock off made by slave labour. Jade's is clearly the real deal.
Perhaps there's a clothing allowance, perhaps a wardrobe dept. In my experience though most PhD students (especially in non technical/science disciplines) come from well above average income families.

Oh absolutely! I don’t know how they get away with it! I find it weird the only times I’ve seen that cardi though are on Celeb Traitors and now this series of Traitors. Might be a wardrobe loan?? Either way, it’s gorgeous and such a relief from all the bland neutral minimalism in clothing we’ve seen recently!

PotteryChuck · 10/01/2026 18:47

I really like Rachel, so glad Fiona was banished, she deserved that!

HideousKinky · 10/01/2026 18:49

I also thoroughly dislike Fiona and enjoyed her downfall.
Someone mentioned her 70s hairstyle - funnily enough it reminded me of Queen Camilla the moment I saw it (though obviously a very down-market version)

Silverbirchleaf · 10/01/2026 18:53

The missions are far more interesting than IACGMOOH though. They basically consist of either eating something, or finding something, whilst being surrounded by creepy crawlies.

MrsMitford3 · 10/01/2026 18:54

Luciany · 10/01/2026 17:43

I think Jade comes from a pretty well to do family. The way she talks and carries herself makes me think they're not super rich but definitely comfortable

Jade very posh hippy type.

DD has a few friends from Uni that she reminds me of.

But I still can't un-see Allie Sheedy now when I look at her!!!

username2373 · 10/01/2026 18:54

I’ve just watched last night’s Uncloacked…
Stunned by how different Amanda looks!

She was not happy when Fiona, who’s only five years older, was talking about women of certain age and tena.

Hang it outside on the line for a few hours when the temperature is below 0 (especially if snowing), great way to freshen up delicate garments esp wools.

I watched a few episodes of the first series of I'm a Celebrity and was so disappointed by the challenges.
They were gross and cruel. I had thought it was going to be survival tasks, things that would be physically challenging, maybe requiring celebs to face fears (fear of heights etc) not just using and abusing animals and focusing on contestants' squeamishness.

butimamonstersaidthemonster · 10/01/2026 19:04

The only challenges I like are the question ones where you can kind of play along. Apart from that they are dull.

FrootyCider · 10/01/2026 19:06

I actually don't mind the missions so much this time. They actually seem to be stirring the pot/having consequences!

I agree, and quite frankly, I'm utterly sick and tired of all this joking nonsense about women of a certain age and their supposed total reliance on Tena. FFS. I'm a woman whose age begins with a 6, and it is infuriating to have all of us lumped together as incontinent biddies whose pelvic floor disappeared years ago, and ooh, isn't it funny that we all piss ourselves at the slightest thing.

Ageist bollocks, and does a real disservice to those of all ages who genuinely need that product.

Agree. I don't like them at all. I like the ridiculous drama of the traitor's tasks. They must have a lot of fun designing them.

Richard Osman said the production team have great fun coming up with the tasks and doing them over and over to figure out the timings. They need to set times that are realistic but still give jeopardy - that’s why they laughed about the “cabin” task in the Celebrity version being done with 8 minutes to spare! They hadn’t factored in clever Nick figuring out their clues so quickly or man-mountain Joe powering the wheel like a whirling dervish!

I often think this must be a cool job & love how imaginative they are. I really enjoy the Traitors tasks but wish that the Traitors had some sort of secret mission in there that might help the faithfuls with clues for dodgy behaviour as otherwise they literally having nothing to go on!

cariadlet · 10/01/2026 20:01

I came across an article in my local news about someone who makes the props. That sounded a really cool job.
