Welcome to Thread 6 of Traitors 2026.

This thread runs at TV pace so do not read any further if you are not up to date with the live broadcast. Whilst most discussion will be on the current series, inevitably people will refer to previous series/players/winners so reader beware if you’ve not seen the 3 previous editions, or the celebrity version.

While we welcome posters discussing their theories and speculating on relationships/connections between players, please don’t post spoilers from elsewhere that may ruin things for those of us who like to see things unfold over the course of the series.

The story so far:

Traitors
Hugo
Rachel
Stephen
Fiona (Secret Traitor)

Murdered
Netty
Ben
Maz
Reece

Banished
Judy (Faithful)
Hugo (Traitor)
Ross (Faithful)
Amanda (Faithful)
Fiona (Traitor)

No murder cliffhanger after episode 6, but Matthew (aka Interchangeable Male #3) has taken an interesting approach. We wait to see what cunning questions Harriet can come up with.

The floor is yours…

This time it’s personal! Traitors 2026 | Thread 5 | Spoiler Free! | Mumsnet

I found the episode for you. It’s one of the Celebrity Traitors discussion episodes but they do the stats in the second half.

Am i imagining it or did they say that the best position was to be a recruited traitor?

TheGreenBow · 10/01/2026 13:03

How is it not obvious to more people that Rachel must be a traitor? As why would any other traitor (Fiona) go that strongly and loudly against someone who she knew was a faithful, just to remove them from the game? She could have just murdered her instead.

Surely the only conclusion is it was traitor on traitor? I know Harriet realises this but it’s a fairly obvious one isn’t it?

Piggywaspushed · 10/01/2026 13:04

Jade is actaully much brighter than we are giving her credit for. I can't actually find evidence she is a psychologist but maybe that's her degree. She is at Warwick doing a PhD and specialises in women's health and pregnancy. As MNers we ought to be rooting for her really.

I actually like her calm and relative grace . All the screeching from the rest of them can get a bit much! She's inscrutable.

Everything to know about Jade Scott, the avid gamer and Warwick Uni student on The Traitors

There's a reason she's not telling other Traitors contestants about her degree

Yes that’s right. If you established yourself as a Faithful early in the game and are then recruited you are in a stronger position.

If however you already have heat on you when they recruit you, then you know you are just a lamb for the slaughter!

Jade’s not claiming to be a psychologist is she? That’s Ellie (who also seems to have some kind of doctorate, so I’m not sure why the press are making so much of Jade doing a PhD)

Piggywaspushed · 10/01/2026 13:08

People mentioned it upthread I think? It may have said it on screen when we first met her.

The press here (The Tab so just a student mag) say that she says she is a master's student to the other contestants.

I loved the way Andrew dealt with it in series 2.

Or could be that she didn’t want people to believe what Amanda was saying and her fellow traitors are jade and Sam.

butimamonstersaidthemonster · 10/01/2026 13:15

Why can the traitors never work together? Every year they start going for each other. It just happened much earlier this year. But the traitors have power in numbers. Once they get to half way they have so much power as a block of three vote. I also wonder why they never talk about who they want to banish as well as murder. They could be so powerful.

butimamonstersaidthemonster · 10/01/2026 13:19

rachel is going to have to make up questions and responses to tell the rest of the group.
and I guess Matt will too since he can’t say what he actually asked.

You're probably still in a better position though as you can be banished but not murdered. It depends what sort of game the other traitors are playing by that point.

Im new to this thread, hello!
Regarding Jade, is the main reason for suspecting her because of what Amanda said, has she done anything else?
I really felt for her last night as she seems to have given up and accepted her fate.

No, there's literally nothing else. People possibly suspect her because of her demeanour, but that's hardly surprising really as she's been accused of being a traitor from the word go and nobody seems to trust her. Must be very uncomfortable and not very nice to be in that position.

I was really cross with Amanda when I watched the after show and she admitted she had NO theories and nothing really on Jade because I think she has really messed with Jade's head & targeted her for no reason.
It really put me off Amanda who I wasn't particularly keen on anyway. And the fact that Jade is so much younger than her made it feel even more unfair really. I feel sorry for Jade, I think Amanda's targeting of her has really hampered her game.
But I hope she stays and comes into her own.

Piggywaspushed · 10/01/2026 14:05

I was just about to post that same thing about Amanda. It makes her appear more the clueless cop who doggedly pursues a suspect simply because they don't much take to them.

Didn't they annoy everyone else by telling them they weren't going to share the Q and As?

I think it’s interesting to watch the dynamics. Again and again people who are obviously bright, well spoken and self assured are considered to be a threat. The herd mentality kicks in again and again. Jade is just self contained, attractive and bright. She doesn’t push herself forward or try to dominate or be fake friendly. Like Sam. So they are ostracised. People are insecure and like to huddle together for safety.
I couldn’t understand Amanda’s obvious and unfounded lhostiiity to Jade or the rest of the groups hostility towards Sam.
They are just being bullied.

I'm quite surprised at the number of people in these threads who have claimed not to know the names of the young men or worse, cannot tell them apart. Is everyone just exaggerating for comic effect? I think they are all really different. I hope I don't need any of you as witnesses 😀 (famously unreliable evidence of course).
Hope Rachel gets found out. She would not only throw you under the bus, she would charter an entire fleet to do the deed and then stare down at your shattered body as life ebbs away with that supercilious look on her face😁.

Raises hand I am pretty sure it was me who first called them Interchangeable Dudes when they were in the cars in the way to the castle - they probably had hats and hoods and there were A LOT of people so they merged into one group of similarly aged chaps. I was slightly exaggerating for comic effect but I still genuinely forget Adam and Matthew exist until they get screen time.

Even now I will say none of them have really done anything to stand out or help me differentiate. Sam yes, due to the ‘have you been avoiding me’ Judy spat early on. Reece latterly because he’d so clearly given up (and all the crying). We’re not seeing much of the others.

Piggywaspushed · 10/01/2026 14:20

In defence of Sam - he is brighter than we think. So that may seem like arrogance. Both he and Stephen have degrees in Hispanic languages , hence those two were hanging around the family tree at the beginning as was Hugo with his Cambridge law degree. Harriet obviously I guess is also pretending she doesn't have an Oxford English degree. What does she actually even say she is?? She is clearly not hiding that she is intelligent and probing.

I was a bit peeved that on Uncloaked they forgot to ask Reece why he hadn't noticed he was forced away form the family tree!

Htcunya · 10/01/2026 14:22

All that is true of Jade but she reacts in such a personally offended way. She wasn’t named often at the Round Table and half the time by Amanda. Any heat on her was mainly from Amanda.
As she is exceptionally attractive and obviously intelligent given she is doing a PhD, it’s maybe unusual for her to be on the receiving end of negativity. She seems to think she is being targeted more than she actually is.

ClaudiaWeveAllHadChildcareDaysLikeThat · 10/01/2026 14:25

So annoying that Maz is gone and just an episode later the person gunning for him is gone too.

How good would it have been with Maz as Secret Traitor???

He was smart. Same as Fozia last year. Super on it. Personable and friendly with it too.

Piggywaspushed · 10/01/2026 14:26

I'd be offended if someone named me (in front of me, in a car!) on no evidence at all and then continued, despite having no supporters in this, to name me every single day.

mixedpeel · 10/01/2026 14:27

@Piggywaspushed I was a bit peeved that on Uncloaked they forgot to ask Reece why he hadn't noticed he was forced away form the family tree!

Also he named Rachel as one of his suspected traitors before reading the “scroll’, and Ed didn’t even bring that up in Uncloaked. I usually admire Ed’s skill at ensuring everyone is included, but he let Fiona dominate too much imo.

NorthFaceofthelaundrypile · 10/01/2026 14:30

My next theory is that Matt and Stephen are partners, so I’d love them to recruit him and then Rachel to be voted out.
I got the impression that as soon as Hugo was out, she tried turning eyes on to Stephen.
