It's all happening in the street!

Todd continues to be abused and manipulated by nasty Theo.

Carla is being kept hostage by evil Undead Becky the Bay City Roller! Lisa (Swain) is pining for Carla who she thinks has gone away on holiday, (but Lisa still did the deed with Undead Becky!)

Nasty Ma Driscoll has been turfed out of The Rovers Return by her son Ben, after her horrible Christmas day stunt of revealing to everyone that Eva has had an abortion.

Will Driscoll is jealous of Daniel 'dating' his attractive older woman (well, she's around 28, but is still older compared to him as he is still at school! And to make things worse she is his sports coach!)

Costello has been beaten up and is still in hospital.

Tall Kit and Sarah Platt are still an item.

Shona is not far off having hers and David Platt's baby.

DeeDee's left the show after conveniently being offered a high flying lawyer job in Singapore!

Carl, the Chuckle Brother has been getting down and dirty with James Bailey (again!) whilst Abi is totally oblivious. She is also oblivious to the fact that Carl is trying to find a way to move away from her (abroad) even though Abi has left Kevin for him (and took her son too!) Some may say it serves her right! 😬

Evelyn has come back again - hopefully for good this time!

Oh darn, Carla got herself tied back up

Carla’s kidneys must have already packed in because she hasn’t been for a pee in the four days she’s been in that cupboard.

Exactly as I predicted yesterday. 🙄 And I didn't see it beforehand. Today's episode was only available on ITVX from this morning. Soooooo predictable that this would happen. Carla would try and get away, Becky would 'wake up,' and stop her getting away! It's like the plotline of a shit Ch5 afternoon film.

Another thing is, I have a tendency to faint now and again - won't go into it why, just medical reasons, it happened 2 weeks ago the week before Christmas, (it happens sometimes if I over-exert myself/get a bit stressed.)

Long story short, when I keel over/faint, I am out for maybe a minute to 2 minutes usually. My DH was hovering over me last time saying 'Sabre, Sabre, you OK?' I was like 'errr yeah... ' and it was 5 minutes before I could get myself off the floor. I said to DH that I'm OK, I just need a few minutes... I managed to get to the armchair (with DH's help,) and it was another 15 minutes before I could get up and walk to the kitchen, and go in the garden for some fresh air. I felt groggy for an hour.

Similar story - a neighbour of mine collapsed in the street yesterday - 70 y.o man, (he had a dizzy spell,) and he had people hovering over him for 15 minutes before he could get up. I could give a few other similar examples just from this past year.

Upshot is, no WAY - after being hit over the head and blood being drawn, and being unconcious, would Becky have shot straight up - within about a minute - as Carla was fumbling with the car keys, and bolted across the room, and overpowered Carla. She wouldn't even have been able to stand up for about 5 minutes, after she had regained conciousness! Anyone who has ever been out cold, and 'woken up' reasonably soon after would know you can't just shoot right up and start walking immediately, not for 10 minutes or more for many. Let alone overpower a grown woman - immediately after being bopped over the head, and having a concussion.

Apart from Undead Becky making a ridiculously quick recovery in order to overpower Carla after being whacked over the head and being unconcious, tonight's Corrie was quite decent. Glad Billy is seeing through horrible Theo. Poor Tood - being left miles from home in late December! He looked frozen to the core.

Tracy made me laugh though, saying to Abi that she needs to get hold of Carl's bank account, fleece him, buy some fabulous shoes, and walk all over him.

Evelyn was great again too.

Can someone explain the Rhubarb hotel thing to me? It looks like Kit will figure it out and come to Carla’s rescue but I genuinely don’t know what it all means? Either I’ve missed an integral bit or it’s just another load of bollocks.

Theo will find Billy’s key and that will be the end of Billy. (I didn’t understand how Todd was going to get back into his own house, he would not have his door key as it would be in his jacket.)

I’m not paying any attention to the Becky plot, I just zone out. But @SabreIsMyFave be fair, you’re not Undead. If you were undead, you might leap off the floor ten seconds after being knocked unconscious 😉

I’ve recently watched Tracey’s revenge on Charlie in Classic so she is definitely the person for Abi to consult. Although hang on, Tracey did end up in jail…

Hmmm, not sure. I think we (on here) had a feeling it was some kind of code, and that someone (maybe Kit or Lisa) would realise Carla is in trouble. Like the Ask For Angela thing that women say if they're in trouble/in an abusive situation...

But it looks like it's just a weird name Carla made up on the spot, when Becky had a knife held to her. Kit is suspicious of it though as the website is so basic, and he can't seem to book a room.

Did the hotel not appear on booking.com? Did Kit not get lots of emails with special offers? If not it's a fake hotel.

Todd doesn't need an Ask for Angela option though, he has had loads of opportunities to talk to friends when Theo isn't nearby. Billy actually even knows, but Todd still won't ask.

When Carla went to see Costello in hospital he said “hill” and “rhubarb” to her. She made a note of it in a notebook and spoke to Kit about it. So when she was on loudspeaker to Betsy (from the cupboard) she mentioned both words as part of the hotel she was staying in. Hoping that Kit would hear and figure it out. Unfortunately Becky had someone make up a fake hotel online to throw Kit off.
