It's all happening in the street!

Todd continues to be abused and manipulated by nasty Theo.

Carla is being kept hostage by evil Undead Becky the Bay City Roller! Lisa (Swain) is pining for Carla who she thinks has gone away on holiday, (but Lisa still did the deed with Undead Becky!)

Nasty Ma Driscoll has been turfed out of The Rovers Return by her son Ben, after her horrible Christmas day stunt of revealing to everyone that Eva has had an abortion.

Will Driscoll is jealous of Daniel 'dating' his attractive older woman (well, she's around 28, but is still older compared to him as he is still at school! And to make things worse she is his sports coach!)

Costello has been beaten up and is still in hospital.

Tall Kit and Sarah Platt are still an item.

Shona is not far off having hers and David Platt's baby.

DeeDee's left the show after conveniently being offered a high flying lawyer job in Singapore!

Carl, the Chuckle Brother has been getting down and dirty with James Bailey (again!) whilst Abi is totally oblivious. She is also oblivious to the fact that Carl is trying to find a way to move away from her (abroad) even though Abi has left Kevin for him (and took her son too!) Some may say it serves her right! 😬

Evelyn has come back again - hopefully for good this time!

I have probably missed some stuff! But we can catch up later! :)

I prefer 30 min episodes. I’m old enough to remember shorter episodes as the norm, and I frequently doze off in an hour episodes.

How long was Carla tied up in that cupboard? At least 24 hours?

So Becky can create a fake hotel online and set up a phone line but cannot get a decent haircut?

Oh yes I do think ITVX is good value, we watch it a lot.

We have Netflix with ads, (also about a fiver a month, the same as ITVX,) but the ads are so few - like two 30 second ones in an hour, (and some shows don't have them at all.) But that is all we pay for. ITVX and Netflix with ads.

We don't have Apple or Disney. We have Freesat. Not Sky exactly, but we do have a satellite dish and some Sky channels, and a lot of channels via the satellite dish. We don't pay for anything (no subscription,) we just paid for the Freesat recorder box - £200 - 5 years ago...

So we also record stuff, (like you do) and whizz through the ad breaks. Not ITV because we get it ad free on ITVX Premium, and not BBC as we have BBC iPlayer and there are no breaks anyway... But all the other channels have ads, and we couldn't watch anything without cutting out the ad breaks. On many channels they are 6 or 7 minutes long, every 8-9 minutes, and it's utterly mind numbing.

With the length and frequency of ad breaks on many channels now, there's so much stuff I couldn't watch if we couldn't record it and skip the ad breaks. I could not stand all the breaks!

Fortunately, with the advent of long, tedious, frequent ad breaks came the invention of recorder boxes!

I was going to mention this (meant to a couple of days ago,) how on earth is Carla coping when she needs a wee? (Or even worse, a poo?!) 💩

Undead Becky was giving her some (bottled) water but it's no good if she can't go for a wee. And it felt like she was tied up for longer than 24 hours. Hasn't it been about 3-4 days? Or is my sense of timing all off???

Anyway, she has knocked Becky out now, so hopefully she can get out before Becky wakes up. I can forsee Carla struggling to get out (as the doors and windows seemed chained up when Becky came in,) and Becky waking up and overpowering Carla again. I hope that doesn't happen. Carla needs to get away! NOW.

Also, good for Kit for being suspicious of the weirdname hotel, but he has been taken in by the fake internet domain!!!

I wonder what is going on with Tyrone too. Was Evelyn trying reverse psychology?

I can't get on board with the 30 minute episodes. As @1reason said, it feels a bit unsatisfying... Guess I will get used to it.

@Empress13 I hate to say this, but even on the 'agent shot' you posted of Undead Becky/actress Amy Cudden, her hair doesn't look great. Can't figure out if it's a wig or not.

If im catching up i watch on YouTube as I have premium so no adverts. I cant watch the soaps on itvx. Again I pay for it because im scotland I have to watch on stv player and its the worst thing ever.

I think Amy Cudden looks really pretty in that photo and her hair looks fine. It doesn't look like her hair is that thick so she might be wearing a wig now. Whether it's a wig or her own hair, it's a mistake!

Fortunately @SabreIsMyFave I still have a Humax recorder so as long as I don't want to watch in advance I can skip both Becky and ads without paying. Even on itvx I can skip Becky, makes it a fairly short episode😆

Evelyn reminded us she's going back to university next month so I guess she won't be around as much until Easter.

The Todd/Theo scenes are well done but I don't want to watch much more of it.

Hope Carla doesn't panic and run off, thinking she's killed Becky! She should ring the police straight away - all the evidence of her captivity is there in the cupboard!

I cringe when that vile man Theo calls Todd ‘ Toddington’
Todd seems to know a lot of people and previously had friends on the street ( I am getting back into it after decades so I am unaware of his actual soap history ) so why doesn’t he ask them for help and just leave ?
I felt sorry for him left in the cold, so horrible.

Todd's mum Eileen left earlier this year, but as you say he has loads of people there who knew him from when he arrived as a teenager. He feels ground down by Theo, and does he now feel 'blackmailed' because Theo has doctored the video of their fights? But Todd trained as a lawyer, surely he would work out that the doctoring would be obvious and would drop Theo right in it.

I’m hoping that they write into it the sign that abused people show with their hands behind their back when they need help. It would be great to raise awareness of this.

The ‘ ask for Angela ‘ awareness campaign was launched a while ago , but is there a male equivalent?
Was Todd’s mum the one who ran the cab office ?
It’s sad Todd didn’t tell the police straight off about the cameras , the flat was a crime scene at one stage
