It's all happening in the street!

Todd continues to be abused and manipulated by nasty Theo.

Carla is being kept hostage by evil Undead Becky the Bay City Roller! Lisa (Swain) is pining for Carla who she thinks has gone away on holiday, (but Lisa still did the deed with Undead Becky!)

Nasty Ma Driscoll has been turfed out of The Rovers Return by her son Ben, after her horrible Christmas day stunt of revealing to everyone that Eva has had an abortion.

Will Driscoll is jealous of Daniel 'dating' his attractive older woman (well, she's around 28, but is still older compared to him as he is still at school! And to make things worse she is his sports coach!)

Costello has been beaten up and is still in hospital.

Tall Kit and Sarah Platt are still an item.

Shona is not far off having hers and David Platt's baby.

DeeDee's left the show after conveniently being offered a high flying lawyer job in Singapore!

Carl, the Chuckle Brother has been getting down and dirty with James Bailey (again!) whilst Abi is totally oblivious. She is also oblivious to the fact that Carl is trying to find a way to move away from her (abroad) even though Abi has left Kevin for him (and took her son too!) Some may say it serves her right! 😬

Evelyn has come back again - hopefully for good this time!

Theo is gaslighting Todd isn’t he. Trying to get him to believe something that isn’t true.
Billy said to Todd he was doing this , hopefully he may remember. Theo will hate Summer being around a lot.

He’s been gaslighting Todd for months and emotionally and physically abusing him. It’s been very difficult to watch, I grew up watching Corrie and there were times last year when I thought about stopping due to this storyline. Credit to both actors. I don’t want Theo to die, I want him caught out, arrested and made to pay for his crimes. They often meet a dramatic death, abusers in soaps, really hope this time legal justice is served and Todd is given the support he needs to make a full recovery. Not just his mates rallying round, apologising, like George, but support services. If they are doing this harrowing script, they need to give hope to the many real victims out there, whatever their sexuality.

I have only got back into Corrie the past month or so, but the Todd story is so sad and I do hope it’s resolved soon or he just leaves him.

@Fbfbfvfvv yes that is how I remember what happened about the early exit from the wedding.

I also agree the police interview was ridiculous, Debbie would at the very least have had a solicitor with her.

Todd was looking quite thoughtful/suspicious towards Theo’s behaviour in the morning (Theo was extreme cheerful) and clearly thought something was off. Todd is suspicious so Theo has to pile on the pressure and make it look as if it’s Todd’s fault in some way. Theo is planting doubts to take the focus off himself as usual.

Good to see Ty believed Kev about the drone footage. They’ve got some good actors on Corrie and Ty is one of them.

The chat between Swain and Kit - ridiculous. Yes Swain you are a useless cop, I don't know how you keep your job. I do like Kit.

And I like the 30 minute format, it works much better.

The conversation between Kit and Lisa was just gibberish, something about she could not have put an undercover operation at risk. No idea what is going on.

One of the Eastenders characters has a dementia storyline and when he was interviewed by the police over an incident he caused , they had to find an appropriate adult for him and he had a lawyer there too.
I was surprised that Debbie didn’t have this , but did she say she didn’t want one ? Even so, it did feel wrong!

Debbie refused a lawyer as she’s lying to cover up for Carl.

@zanahoria I wondered if I had missed a bit where Swain was deliberately not jeopardising an investigation, but actually - I don't care!😆

80s I thought of the Nigel incident too. Nigel no longer has capacity to act for himself, and he was banned from driving, his dementia is much further advanced than Debbie's. She is able to speak for herself (well that's debatable as she was making a confusing hash of it, but in theory).

When forensics examine the car it'll be obvious Debbie wasn't driving as the seat was set for Carl who's a foot taller (assuming the car didn't go up in flames, but I don't think it did?) As Kev said, Debbie will then be done for perverting the course of justice.

I liked Tyrone’s tirade with Carl. carl has turned out to be a great villain, the aggression oozes out of him.
Todd is doing such a good job as a victim too. I just want to hug him.

Im quite amazed how many people are sad Billy is gone, I thought nobody liked him. It was the same when Craigy died.

Todd’s friends ( Billy apart of course ) are not picking up on his fear and closed body language around someone he should be happy with.

Why didn’t Todd say that to Theo?

Because that would result in consequences for Todd. Abusers see a question or disagreement, ridiculously sometimes even something as innocuous as their victim liking different foods to them, as an attack, so that question or difference needs punishing. That is how weak they are. Todd has learned, been groomed, to keep quiet.

I agree, I'd like to see them showing at the very least some kind of nod to what it's like coming out of an abusive relationship. You can't just move on or forget about it as so many are so often told to do, it shapes you, for the rest of your life. I hope it's not another epileptic seizure brought out of the bottom drawer after 20 years when it can be squeezed into a storyline.

He’s a nice character but I wouldn’t say he was a particularly good actor. Just my opinion not a fact

@Gingercar do you mean lots of us viewers are saying they liked Billy? When I heard he was leaving I was quite pleased as I found him annoying. But he’s been very sympathetic the past few weeks, and I now miss him and think it’s a shame. But his death is at least providing a lot of good material for the rest of the characters.

(Craigy - nah, I am glad he went, not a good actor and a terrible cop, even worse than Swain!)

I hope Theo dies. If he is jailed for abuse Todd would have to live through a harrowing court case, and Theo would have the possibility of returning after release. I just want him gone!

Carl is a good villain but isn't it amazing that previously pleasant relatives like him and Uncle Stephen suddenly go bad. There's something in the water in Weatherfield

I want to see Theo in court and a string of gay exes turn up to give evidence against him.

Yes, so do I. Then I want him to get beaten up badly in jail, preferably by a character played by Sean Bean. Well I can dream can’t I?😀

It's a funny one isn't it? (re Billy.) I was a bit meh about Billy and thought I wouldn't care if he left. But I do feel a bit sad about it. Maybe it's because he was kinda murdered (by Theo) and died in a fire. Maybe if he had had a leaving do, and his goobye had been expected and so on it may have been different.

I also enjoyed Tyrone going off at Carl. He was taking none of Carl's shit! 😆

The frustrating thing about Billy's departure is the timing, just as he was shaping up to be Todd's saviour, and we were rooting for him for once. And of course the tragedy becoming another weapon to use against Todd.

Does anyone else think that Dr Harper could be Summer’s real dad? Or am I going down yet another rabbit hole?

No one gets a proper exit now when someone leaves of their own accord or is sacked. Craig and Billy both died and they were both sacked, others like Jenny just wave goodbye on their own and that’s it. I know Eileen had all those taxis waving her off but that was it and I didn’t like Gail’s exit either

I think Mr Harper definitely knew Billy, could be an ex, or could be Summer's dad. Probably Summer's dad as she's running out of them!

I think Billy's death is going be the catalyst for Todd breaking away from Theo (eventually), it'll be a case of something good happening as the result of something tragic.

(I had a dream about Billy last night! I dreamed he was doing a house clearance for me, good old Billy still being helpful in the afterlife 😂).

They have to fill the quota but obviously Summer's real dad is Steve
