It's all happening in the street!

Todd continues to be abused and manipulated by nasty Theo.

Carla is being kept hostage by evil Undead Becky the Bay City Roller! Lisa (Swain) is pining for Carla who she thinks has gone away on holiday, (but Lisa still did the deed with Undead Becky!)

Nasty Ma Driscoll has been turfed out of The Rovers Return by her son Ben, after her horrible Christmas day stunt of revealing to everyone that Eva has had an abortion.

Will Driscoll is jealous of Daniel 'dating' his attractive older woman (well, she's around 28, but is still older compared to him as he is still at school! And to make things worse she is his sports coach!)

Costello has been beaten up and is still in hospital.

Tall Kit and Sarah Platt are still an item.

Shona is not far off having hers and David Platt's baby.

DeeDee's left the show after conveniently being offered a high flying lawyer job in Singapore!

Carl, the Chuckle Brother has been getting down and dirty with James Bailey (again!) whilst Abi is totally oblivious. She is also oblivious to the fact that Carl is trying to find a way to move away from her (abroad) even though Abi has left Kevin for him (and took her son too!) Some may say it serves her right! 😬

Evelyn has come back again - hopefully for good this time!

We have already had one surgeon as a villain.

It was a tedious plot with months of rage from Peter onlt for him to fall flat on his face as he could not copy a file

The thing I dislike is when new characters come in and there are multiple levels of co-incidence linking them to the street, he seems to know Billy and somehow Shona's sister has got wrapped up in the crash.

@zanahoria I quite like Mr Harper's appearance (assuming he does turn out to be a regular) because it reminds me of Mr Hillman arriving at Alma's funeral. And look how well that turned out.

The Jodie 'coincidence' is ridiculous though.

I had completely forgotten about Peter and the surgeon, that was such a terrible storyline that even Peter couldn't save it.

I thought this! The timeline was bollocks! 😂

The clock in the cafe said 8.30am when David was in. Surgeon went in and left after him but somehow David still managed to make it to the Hospital car park first. David mentioned pre-ops were at 9am. So the surgery wouldn't have started until at least 10am. So how come the surgeon was done, dusted, and back at the cafe for lunchtime? 😂Surely that surgery, on both, would have taken hours?

I also thought it was shit that no family were there to wait with David while his wife and baby were undergoing surgery. 🙄

When Bernie gave the surgeon his lunch for free (after he questioned why she was closed at lunch time) she justified it at the end by saying “it’s later than you think”. So I think it might not have been actual lunch time.

She said "Enjoy yourself, it's later than you think" which is a line from a song. I assumed that was something to do with the music Paul had been into.

That is a good point about the rubbish timeline. I would have thought that type of surgery with a cast of thousands would take 5 or 6 hours, yet the clock in the cafe showed 1.15. Amazingly quick work from Mr Harper.

Bernie meant it's 'later than you think' in terms of how long you've got left on the planet, referencing Billy's death they had just been talking about. But yes probably also referencing the song.

I stand corrected, well it was worth a shot at trying to defend Corrie getting the timeline wrong! 😂

I like Mr Harper and maybe he could be a lodger with Dr Gadass if she has a wife? Or but Carla's horrible house when she splits with Lisa and co.

The pair of them will probably be working in Roy's by the end of the week

I feel sorry for the Billy actor getting the sack

It was an odd choice, many more were more deserving of it

I actually really liked Billy and will miss him on the street.

How will anyone actually ever find out what Theo did? There was only him and Billy there and Billy can't tell anyone can he? So will Theo never get found out?

I was thinking about how Theo will be found out. I think Theo will blurt it out during one of their fights and goad Todd with it. There will then be some kind of perilous assault, like the one with Geoff and Yasmeen, and Theo will fall off the roof/out of the window or whatever.

I was thinking Theo's fingerprints would be on the seat belt mechanism but they'd probably be burnt off and they wouldn't be looked for anyway because there were so many witnesses to the 'hero' coming off the minibus crying because he couldn't save poor Billy. Arsehole.

I think you're right @Shellingbynight , he'll probably blurt it out in one of his rages or accusations.

I think the bus was burnt to a cinder? And anyway his fingerprints would be on the belt mechanism if he was heroically trying to release him. Theo will be extremely jealous of Todd's grief so he is bound to want to taunt him about Billy, and he never far from a rage is he😧

I hope Billy gets a real proper funeral with most of the cast there.

I think the Theo thing is dragging on now, it's so horrible that it's starting to actually put me off watching. He should have died in the minibus.

I agree but I actually want him to get his come uppence for what he did to Billy, although I don't think he ever will. Even if he admits it to Todd there is no proof that he left Billy to die so he will never pay for what he did.

Or I would prefer Todd to stand up for himself and end his relationship. I think he needs to move into Billy's flat with Summer and leave Theo. Then I would like to see Theo have a meltdown, being punished by his own thoughts over this behaviour and feeling horrendous guilt for what he did to Billy. It would be nice to see him suffering, after what he has done to Todd and what he did to Billy.

You can bet your life that if he ever does blurt out what happened on the bus, he'll frame it as being Todd's fault for making him do it.

I am hoping that at some point Theo loses his shit not realising Summer is in their flat, and she witnesses him being a nasty fucker and talks sense into Todd. I think he'll blurt out that he left Billy to die and Summer will hear that.

And it was his birthday

I am annoyed that Billy has been axed, and I'm surprised that I'm annoyed, because I didn't think I liked him that much really! 😆

I mean, I didn't dislike him, but he wasn't in my top 10 Corrie favourite characters IYSWIM.

But now he has gone, I feel a bit sad about it. Not least because he was about to save Todd. 😢

That would be more realistic. More often than not abusers just destroy their current victim then move on to the next one they've already started on. It is a rare thing for them to be held to account, emotionally or legally.

They can't deal with guilt, that's why they accuse their victims of their own behaviours.

I hope Summer does witness Theo's behaviour and that'll be the incentive for Todd to finally end it.

Theo was responsible for Billy's death so soap justice means he will have to die himself. So he will get his just desserts, I just hope it doesn't take too much longer as I can't watch much more of it.
