They are back. I was dubious at watching s1 of this as she’s always annoyed me grinning madly like a Cheshire Cat with massive teeth

but I admit I was wrong

she came across as a lovely person and mum

I really enjoyed watching their lives tho Joe can be an immature knob at times esp if she is working and wants him home (rem the fishing trip)

shame they never seen to mention /show Joe’s eldest - not sure if that’s his decision or they are just showing the younger 5

either way nice to see inside pickle cottage

and Dave was lovely. We all need a Dave

I don't think we've ever seen Stacey's mum. She doesn't want to be filmed.

Did we see her stepmum one week, I can't remember.

The second series had so many family members filmed. It’s becoming S+J + the siblings + the grandma + the cousins + parents + kids step parents + the farmer… How do they get all these people to agree to be filmed? Do they pay them?

Leyton is really not coming across well, bless him. And I’ll be forever secondhand embarrassed for Zachary for having to share his GCSE results on the show.
I enjoy watching it and do like Stacey. A bit conflicted she agreed to have so much of her children on screen for this.

I've never seen Stacey's mum or stepmum. Same goes for Joe's other son. I'm guessing they didn't want to be filmed.

Why do you think Leyton isn't coming across well?

Zacahery seems a bit more sulky than Leyton. A typical teenager though!
Rex was so sweet with Teddy the dog.
They are a lovely family. It feels very loving and Stacey is good at being strict but also fair.

I think the kids are lovely, including Leighton and Zach. As PP says, typical teens but nice with it.

I wish they'd put the poor dog down, going around on wheels is no life for a dog 😢

I admit that Teddy looks so sad ! He is only 3 , so maybe having him put to sleep just wasn’t what they wanted for him. The vet laid it out to them about what may happen to him in no uncertain terms. It’s a tough call for everyone isn’t it :(

@LoafofSellotape I probably would have done if it had been my dog but everyone is different.

I think Stacey said that they would do everything they could to keep him as he's only 2 but might have been a different story had he been an older dog.

I could feel the frustration of Stacey’s ‘ people ‘ that Teddy was taking up so much time. She doesn’t want to give up on him, but surely it’s quality of life too to take into consideration. I’ve never had a dog myself , but I can imagine it’s not an easy decision if anything goes wrong for your pet.

I understand them wanting to give Teddy every chance when he's so young. We've had to make these kind of decisions with ours over the years (cats, rather than dogs).

It is hard, but you have to be realistic. If you come up with a sub-par solution, the animal then has to live with it, and you may end up having him PTS further down the line anyway after a lot of heartache.

I don't know if they are still expressing his bladder but I would personally only do that short term if the animal was expected recover bladder function. (It is a decision I had to make years ago, fortunately he quickly recovered.)

Maybe it was step mum. Sure we saw a mum at maybe a Christmas family meal

Just one small criticism - I really hate how both Stacey and Joe walk around outside in just their socks and the kids are barefoot 😐

Loving their date night singing with the gospel choir! I would like to try something like that (but dh is tone deaf so wouldn't work).

What a delightful final episode - had me smiling the whole way though! Although I'm not sure about the name of Stacey's skincare range Rehab 🤔
