I want to like it but honestly it's so boring. So much tonight was people sitting on a bus arguing and the clues are just dumb. Kept dozing off, waking up and they were still on the bus. I think it needs a complete format rethink. More Rob Brydon, more time actually seeing lovely places, better tasks and puzzles and less time showing us the interior of a bus.

I’d like it to get another series but I hope they learn a lot from this one.

Maybe there are other places where people take photos in that pose but I automatically thought of Pisa. Easier for me in the comfort of my own sofa though! I suppose their brains are getting overloaded with all the clues, red herrings and plotting. It's all a bit random.

The episodes have been very hit and miss but I was smug I actually got Pisa way before (some of) the players tonight! It’s entertaining in a Big Brother way that the bus is kicking off and Judith knocking the tower down was funny. Saskia and Josh are over-confident in their abilities and I would rather they don’t win.

Can't post on the other thread now as too long so won't load. But last poster there said "I thought the Piran vs San Marino ticket was because it was Pi vs SA!". It's another of those infuriating clues that only makes sense after you know the answer. Like the one about it almost sounding like a Spanish country. Presumably because Pisa mixed up is almost Spain.

It's all getting a bit bad tempered - I suppose it's inevitable, with them all being cooped up together on that bus for so long. My predictions for the last two destinations are Nice and Barcelona. We haven't had Spain yet, so I think they'll end up there.

I think "pais" means "country" in Spanish so it's an anagram, like the 'pi AS returned' clue (PI SA). I wouldn't have got it without all the anagrams!

Watched with friends with a snacky meal. So late to say that once the towers fell it was certainly Pisa.

That's exactly what I said to my DH!

It's a long way to Spain from Italy, you have to travel through France first.

Hence the penultimate destination being Nice (or somewhere else in south of France... Cannes? Film festival clues?) - and then crossing into Spain for the final episode. They seem to allow two days to get to each destination anyway, so it's quite feasible.

Barcelona is a long way from Nice on a bus.

Pisa to Barcelona is 1,000 km so totally doable over two legs. Cannes (remember the artwork of two cans on the wall in the viewing box in Alsace?) is 400km from Pisa so not far off half way.

I am now remembering someone pointing to an artwork of a red throne and wondering what that represented and wondering too. There might have been clues to several destinations in there.

I think the final destination will have an Audrey Hepburn link, there've been clues to her everywhere, i think in every episode. I was thinking Rome because of roman holiday but it could be somewhere else related.

That was me! I thought I was really clever (and also though Pisa had the letters in Spain!)

At the end, Rob said Pisa was pais scrambled (which made sense) but said the Piran vs San Marino ticket was just to tell them they were in Piran - as if that helped!. I don't think that can be correct and sometimes think when the v/o is recorded they haven's actually spoken to the people who devised the clues! It was so obviously Pi and Sa

Yes. When Josh said they were just running down the clock as if they would be deliberately dropping the ball and missing out on a clue just to stop him getting a clue! 🙄
