I wonder how many say have passed for the contestants? For us it has been weeks since they left the airport and saw the departure board but it will have been less for them.

I can't remember which contestant now it was who said they were looking for clues in the airport while everyone else was faffing. I'll have to rewatch.

No, I've had very similar thoughts.

Although, reading other posts, I wonder if what's happening is that she's so pushy and manipulative that she's wheedling info out of the producers.

I also agree with whoever said the editing on Josh and Saskis is so unfavourable, in contrast with Judith's, for example, that I'd be surprised if either of them won. There is a very gratifying "Judith grows a pair" narrative, including the oar and block tower toppling incidents yesterday.

What's a ringer?

Ok the departure boards is scrolling between two screens - one full of red herrings and one which is the exact journey they have been on. I have seen the last destination on the screen which is their route.

it’s actually interesting to see their early interactions. Saskia tells someone she knows nothing about geography. Claire and Josh are having a chat and laugh at Ashvin saying he can’t even find his way to a seat. The guy who walked reveals himself to be totally dumb.

A ringer is someone who is a ‘ plant’ so already knows the clues or managed to chat up someone for help ( in saskias case) I don’t think she is , I was just musing really !
On strictly they often accuse some of being ringers because they have had dancing experience before or a dance school back ground.

Who is it who says they are making sure they take in the clues??

Obviously it's all edited to show them saying their daftest thing.

I have only watched the first 7 minutes but it’s amazing. Nick looks at the departure boards and says to Chloe and someone else ‘I keep looking at it and thinking is one of those where we are going?’ Chloe dismisses the idea. Then we see all the destinations on the correct journey board flick to cancelled. Ie they will need to take an alternative method of transport such as a bus to get there…

I am hooked on this despite its very many problems.
Unfortunately there don’t seem to be any legible/unobscured shots of the final destination on the departures board.

There's red herrings everywhere, though I have to concede that the destination board seems to be legit.

I have a really clear shot of the full board. Let’s just say our hive mind is working well. Where they do their initial to camera pieces which looks like a bar has framed posters on the bar. They are blurred to the viewers but one has the Eiffel Tower, one a coliseum and one which looks like a cathedral. There are place names too - too blurry for us to read but if you were in the room and being observant you should have spotted them.

I wonder if Saskia is pretending she's bad at European geography. If you let on you knew your countries and cities, everyone would be pestering you. Better strategy is to play a little dumb. Daren may be playing a blinder 😄

I know someone has said they know the final destination but it seems unlikely they'd swoop back to Rome?? Or maybe they will.

Audrey Hepburn was Dutch and then lived in Switzerland. Nice to Amsterdam feels like too long a trip.

I think she's just got the kind of brain that's good at the clues. She's been noticeably good at them since the Swiss lift challenge. Funny that Josh seems to think he's the leader of their alliance - i think he'd be lost without her. Pretty sure he'd have gone out when Nick did.

Josh was actually the last one to make the cut from 13 to 10 bus passengers at the airport when they are looking for the people’s names that were announced on the tannoy. He seems lost but Saskia tells everyone to look for the names Joan and Emily - she and Nick may have discussed the names as he is close by when she tells them. But she seems more switched on than the others.

Ah, of course! This programme has got so convoluted and illogical now I was overlooking that. It's so contrived I think they can make out anything is or isn't a clue. Oh look, there's some grass and there's also grass at destination X.

I really wish I hadn't read this, why oh why could you not have started with a warning/spoiler alert? This is an okay ish programme that it's amusing to play along with. I play along without watching previous episodes or googling anything I'm not sure of. Now I know the next destination is probably Nice, there is not much point in watching. I believe "TV Pace" should ban going back as well as forward.
