I agree about the Saskia comments. How did she pull Pisa out from just the balancing clues? And the colosseum in Pula? 'Oh yeah, I think I saw one there once' kind of thing.
It made me think about how they film and the editing process. I can't believe thet are travelling as they are doing all those discussions in the bus as there is no movement or swaying, no engine noise. It feels like they are in a studio, tbh. So do they just stop the bus for a large chunk of time and keep the cameras rolling? I wonder if they do most of their travelling at night and film the conversations in the day.
Also, for a 'high-budget show, which was shot over 32 days, requiring 190 crew members needing 7,000 hotel rooms across 30 hotels, as they travelled 11,000 km through Europe with more than 40 vehicles, Rob said it was like nothing he’d done before.'( quote from a news article) the show feels very insular and kind of low budget!
And another also (and this has probably been discussed before so apologies!) I read that if they want to do a poo, there are 2 portaloos travelling in a backup car, and they have to be blindfolded, escorted off the bus, a producer waits outside the loo for them to finish, then they are escorted back on. Of all the reality game shows to apply for, I think this would be bottom (no pun intended) of my wish list!
