I'm a bit behind, but looking forward to it!

Doechii!!!! That was the highlight of the festival so far for me, and I’ve loved a lot of it! What a slick show, she didn’t miss a beat. Fair enough if you don’t like hip-hop but I do and I think she’s amazing. I’ve listened to her a lot but never seen her perform.

Came here to say this!!

This was IT!

lifeonmars100 · 28/06/2025 23:51

Just found Neil Young! got so confused on IPlayer, those guitars are exceptional, just ploughing up the night, the atmosphere must be magical

Jellykat · 28/06/2025 23:51

Watching the SS beginning now on BBC1 Grin

Watching Scissor Sisters, that outfit should come with a warning, leaving nothing to the imagination 😳

moto748e · 28/06/2025 23:56

Last night on Youtube, I watched NY playing in Bergen a few days ago, just before Glastonbury. Have to say, after a sketchy start, he's looking much better here, his voice seems a lot stronger, although of course it doesn't have the power it once did.

NeedWineNow · 28/06/2025 23:57

Dipped in and out of NY. His band are amazing but still not enough for me and DH. We’ve got Scissor Sisters on at the moment who are really rocking it. Tempted to ring Glastonbury and tell Jake Shears I want my boots back! Asked DH if he felt he should have an outfit like that for the Hastings Beer and Music Festival next weekend. He’s declined funnily enough 🤣🤣🤣

Why is Neil not crawling around in his underwear?

Poor guy has to sing and play instruments ☹️

Because society doesn’t deem that men need to do that to be successful 🤷🏻‍♀️

Camp as tits, and i fuckin' love it ❤

Neil talking a lot of sense right now:
Throw Your Hatred Down
Keep on Rocking in the Free World
Is it a cliche? Feels especially poignant to me.
The Chrome Hearts are fkn great. Rocking out with the master.

I've enjoyed the Neil Young set and his epic band. I think as well it would be a nice vibe at that stage. Glastonbury is struggling because it tries to be all things to everyone (whereas other festivals have become more niche and cater just to those audiences (metal, rock, alternative etc). It feels like in a few years the whole thing will be full of just dj sets and those who are auto tuned to within an inch of their lives and refuse to sing live. I've also noticed that very few non-UK bands are on this year, probably due to cost of production vs what they get paid. It's only worth playing if you're already on a UK tour. Anyway, I feel like with each passing year it will become less and less about the music I love. And I suddenly feel like my parents 😆

Looked like a crowd full of fans to me?

SELLING PETROL! 💃🏽

Sorry I was literally just scrolling this thread to see what people said about The 1975. I haven't seen it properly. I don't do BBC but the clips I've seen, it was a great set list, a great show for fans of the band, with the car, the treadmill, the quotes that were used in the video for the Sound. Matty crying at the end really moved me. It must feel like a bloody long journey - getting clean from heroin and then headlining Glastonbury.

there was another thread with a couple of fans who were going, but I can't find it. It's from a while back.

Matty's jokes never work. If he stops doing politics and stops trying to make jokes, I think that would be very good for him and the band 😂

as you were - pardon the interruption.

I’ve just finished watching The 1975 on iPlayer - just bloody amazing (was not a huge fan apart from the song Somebody Else)!

The best and coolest act I’ve seen at Glastonbury since Primal Scream trounced everyone in 2022.

How much do i love Jessie Ware!

So glad that Neil Young got the vibe right in the end and really got into it. Sad that his old man voice was so thin but so pleased I saw him and he played my favourite, Hurricane. Did an almost 2 hour set at his age which is incredible. Backing band were awesome.

EmeraldRoulette · 29/06/2025 00:13

@FiendsandFairies yay! Have you seen the video for "Somebody Else"? It's fantastic and kind of changes the meaning of the song, (although nothing happens for the first minute). Important to get in at the right time because there's a wonderful shot of London where the song starts. We did need Matty in a car!

pp asked about Ana - I thought she left the scissor sisters quite a long time ago.

Love Jessie Ware.

Actually, don't know anything by Neil Young 😳

I thought Charlie XCX wasn't a great candidate for Glastonbury. I don't dislike her. I just wasn't sure about her for this.

NeedWineNow · 29/06/2025 00:14

Did NY do Harvest Moon? I remember him doing it on MTV Unplugged years ago and it was beautiful.

Yes, he did.

FormerlySpeckledyHen · 29/06/2025 00:17

Neil Young was awesome 🤩

RedRiverShore5 · 29/06/2025 00:21

He was wasn't he, and his band.

sparrowflewdown · 29/06/2025 00:28

The coverage and technical issues have ruined Glastonbury for me this year. Last year was poor but this year has been even worse. Iplayer navigation is clunky and ruins any immersion live experience. I will probably leave it next year.

moto748e · 29/06/2025 00:37

I thought Neil massively exceeded my expectations, and went from strength to strength, God love him. He never plays my preferred set-list 😀, but he and his excellent band put on a great show.

Plasticwaste · 29/06/2025 00:48

Beth!!

JaneJeffer · 29/06/2025 01:19

Jade is screechy and annoying

Chumsky · 29/06/2025 01:53

Tom Odell - wow what a voice & sound!

JaneJeffer · 29/06/2025 01:57

I loved how the band were all smiling when the crowd started singing the Beach Boys
