Can’t believe I missed Fat Dog. I saw them at a festival last year and they were fucking brilliant. Hope they’re on the red button 🤞

I have a chance to see Rod Stewart in December. Should I go even for old times sake?

I saw him on one of his warm up shows for his last tour. I was very pleasantly surprised. I'm hoping sunday wont disappoint!

Just put Alanis on and she sounds fantastic. I was born in 1990 so probably a bit too young for her apart from knowing Ironic.

I was in my 20s in the 90s and every woman I knew had a copy of Jagged Little Pill. Every single one.

CrushingOnRubies · 27/06/2025 20:42

Loving the turn out of Chris Moyles flags at Biffy Clyro iykyk

Loving Alanis (watching on delay) She's only 3 years younger than me, but I loved her in my late 20s as she was so different, angsty, angry and raw. Thankfully I've seen her live, before but my god her voice is so powerful qnd her set is / was amazing today.

Chumsky · 27/06/2025 20:44

Alanis Morrisette was fab - was never a particular fan but her music has always been in the background to my life & surprised by how much I know all the words & somehow now getting her sentiment more so than ever?!! Maybe as a more angry & menopausal woman! Or a more accomplished & confident one? Only now realising how amazing she is! She looks & more importantly sounds amazing. This is why I love G’bury it’s like a kind of time capsule that makes you reflect & revisit your life in a way you don’t predict through music & is a celebration of it. Love it!! Don’t Lauren Laverne & Jo Wiley look great too? Grown up with them & just a bit of a mid life validation seeing them Not that it’s all about looks just more female power!

Yes!! My best friend is 50 this year and absolutely loves her (she’s also Canadian). She’s at Glasto right now and I hope she managed to see her. I know she would spend the whole time blubbing her eyes out 😂

Fibrous · 27/06/2025 20:49

I'm enjoying Busta Rhymes, it's pretty funny!

Jellykat · 27/06/2025 20:49

What the fuck was Peter Capaldi doing singing (not well) with Franz Ferdinand, did i miss something ?

Alanis was brilliant, took me right back. Jagged Lttle Pill said more about feminism than clumping about in big trainers shouting girl power ever did

RebeccaDecember · 27/06/2025 20:51

En Vogue look and sound insane.. I had to look up if it is the original line up, none of them look old enough!

Tomorrow 6-7 for Patchwork on Pyramid. I’m hoping for Pulp too though HAIM are a strong rumour.

I'd be happy with either!

En vogue were meant to be good - from my dh in the crowd!

Watching them on BBC 2 now. Quite enjoying them. Not heard of them before. My first thought were that they’re a modern day Spice Girls. .

Plasticwaste · 27/06/2025 20:55

Enjoyed Alanis!

Patiently waiting for Franz Ferdinand.

Not feeling this current bunch on BBC 4.

They are 63, 61, 61 and 49!!

DJSteves · 27/06/2025 20:58

@Steelworks they have been going years. I was in school when Free Your Mind was out. I’m nearly 50 now. Way before the Spice Girls. If it’s the same line up. Fair fookin play.

I just googled and 3 out of 4 of them are the original lineup since 1989!

MadKittenWoman · 27/06/2025 20:59

I was going to post about how underwhelming it all was. However, after watching Alanis Morisette and now En Vogue I’ve completely changed my mind!

DJSteves · 27/06/2025 21:01

@YorkshireFelix that’s insane. They look and sound amazing

the80sweregreat · 27/06/2025 21:01
