Oh gosh…this year is BAD!! I’m not even a fan of Olivia Rodrigo, but she’s the ONLY sure performer for me this year. Plus she’s dating Louis Partridge - that’s enough for me in a sea of drivel.

DJSteves · 27/06/2025 21:59

I will enjoy the Prodigy on Sunday. Last saw them years ago at V.

You've got to pick your way through this year, some awesome music but you'll have to seek the majority out.. i.e no' in your face' obvious Foo Fighters

That's how I feel too Sad

RampantIvy · 27/06/2025 22:04

Buster Rimes is awful

Plasticwaste · 27/06/2025 22:05

Busta a bust.

Waiting for 1975.

YorkshireFelix · 27/06/2025 22:05

I like Busta!! It’s so chaotic but I love it

RayonSunrise · 27/06/2025 22:06

Actually roaring at En Vogue being described as modern day Spice Girls! Inspo for Destiny’s Child, more like. “Free Your Mind” is a stone cold classic!

I’m sure it’s just my age, but the older acts really seem to be killing it so far - Shed Seven, En Vogue, Franz Ferdinand, Biffy Clyro and Busta Rhymes have all been great.

DJSteves · 27/06/2025 22:07

@BnmLK I know! 😢

BurntBroccoli · 27/06/2025 22:07

HowardTJMoon · 27/06/2025 19:15

Just enjoying Alanis Morissette - she's definitely still got it. Highlights so far have been Fat Dog (music to mosh to) and Glass Beams (music to come down to after the moshing).

English Teacher were also good although I can't help but feel that the singer is embarrassingly better than the rest of the band.

Just watching on catch up - I loved Jagged Little Pill.
Amazing vocals!

NotMilanese · 27/06/2025 22:08

Not sure I'm understanding how it works - watching on BBC2 rn, the announcers were interviewing Biffy Clyro in the middle of their set - it was clearly after their set but it's billed as 'live'?

BurntBroccoli · 27/06/2025 22:09

Chewbecca · 27/06/2025 19:20

I found Alanis a bit weird and DH reckoned he ought to complain to the Beeb about Lola Young ( I know he won't bother though), think we might be getting too old for it 😂
Most looking forward to Rodders!

Urgh no! He’s just come out as a Reform supporter…
Always gave me the creeps!

Jellykat · 27/06/2025 22:09

Gosh Gracie Abrams is an enthusiastic performer Grin most 'sincere'

@Chewbecca

why did he want to complain?

Plasticwaste · 27/06/2025 22:12

@NotMilanese BBC 2 is a highlights show playing bits and pieces, not full sets. You have to search the schedules for full sets of bands you want to see.

1975 is on BBC 1 at half 10. BBC 4 is playing other sets too. Bit of a faff. Can always catch up on iPlayer if you miss things.

She was on Jools Holland the other day- she has indeed been performing in the West End! Chicago maybe? Struggling to recall sorry.
