I think The 1.2 million pound house was awful - those ‘up cycled’ pub chairs looked horrible and the hallway just everything looked cheap and worse than before

Yeah the wall quality or finish was not good and I thought the darker paint showed the unevenness and flaws up more.

It’s a shame they’ve made this show into a ‘competition’ with two days to do things up - the paint job was shabby on the big house and the still bright red on the other house would put me off.
Sort of in the vein of ‘clean it, fix it/sort your life out’ type of programmes. However it is quite impressive what they can do with £3K but obviously they’re not paying for the trades Labour in that budget.

The big house looked better but still looked tatty outside to me. It would take a significant injection of cash to update it. The red house was nicely styled but I doubt a couple of nice living rooms would sell a house. People consider the kitchens and bathrooms usually first and structural/big jobs that need doing. However, good luck to the woman who wants to live out her days in the sale proceeds - I hope she sold it.

But tiling over tiles, painting wallpaper... I think they must have advised the previous owners of every house I've ever lived in... (the varnished anaglypta was a highlight...). 😫

All I remember about her was her disapproval of actual books on a book case 😱 this in itself is reason enough to question her.

It’s not a great programme. I prefer Location x3, Love It or List It, George Clarke’s programmes or even Worst House On The Street.

It’ll be price - this is round the corner, four proper bedrooms and 1/3 less money.
