Kojo has a place , amazing really as rent is extortionate and he only goes to work occasionally and can’t earn a huge amount. Pleased for him, but it’s another unrealistic storyline for that area / money etc.
Today’s one was a bit manic.
E will find out G helped Cindy out ..
On it goes , although I did like Alfies proposal. I have a soft spot for him really. Always have had , although he irritates Dh ! 😂

Also, imagine being married to George. He's the most useless husband, entertaining his ex every chance he gets.

She slept with his son but he can't resist the urge to bail her out financially.

I did prefer them together though, but why drag out his marriage to Elaine?!

This episode was quite funny though - the natural chemistry between Jessie and Shane shines through

She has an unusual dress sense.
Im bored with Jean , she needs to move on a bit now.
She probably dodged a bullet with him I think , I used to like Harv, but maybe you lot were right about him after the way he spoke to Kathy about money / loan etc.

Each episode seems to get worse. Shane seemed to have forgotten how to act (and since he’s only playing himself that’s quite something) and even Jessie was a bit wonky. Not surprising as the script was quite weak.

As for Pe Ta. I can hardly bear to watch him.

I don't believe George would help Cindy. He is a soft touch but not to that extent.

I cannot put into words how much I hate Peter Beale. I’d love to know where he bough his audacity, because there’s no was he didn’t buy it when he ignored and gaslit Lauren when she was saying something was wrong, didn’t help out at all with the newborn and suddenly is DOTY and wanting custody?! I’m absolutely raging 😂

But it does help that Adam Woodyatt is a good actor and gives Ian some interest and complexity, so you enjoy loathing him (well I do anyway). Whereas Pe Ta is just useless and nasty and I want him off my screen.

I quite enjoyed that episode today, especially when Kat called out Jean or pissing off when Stacey needed her.

But I hate the normalisation of women slapping other women in soaps.

Absolutely. When Peter said tonight he was going to apply for custody, my DH piped up "Maybe you could apply for some acting lessons first".

It also helps (if you are a long time watcher) that you have some sympathy with Ian - he was once a nice guy who then got fucked over by Cindy and then turned into a horrible cynical grasping prick with no respect for women (I’m not blaming Cindy for this but more it was the catalyst). Whereas Peter doesn’t have that background!

@CorporaINobbyNobbs yes you're right, Ian has that history so we sympathise to some extent. Pe Ta has no excuse, what he is doing to Lauren is unforgiveable.

How can Jean say Kat isn't a Slater? She's more of a Slater than Jean is. At least she's a Slater by blood.

The Peter actor is shit! Absolutely no emotion, he has the same expression, same monotone voice. He wasn't this shit in The Bay, it's almost like he can't be bothered.

Also are the writers taking us for idiots? This whole thing with Cindy and the Albert, George coming to her rescue. It's like rinse and repeat. It was only last year they kissed and it looks like it's going to happen again. It's boring and predictable.

Best thing last night was Honey earwigging on Peter's chat with Johnny, and Alfie proposing to Kat (I like both of them together, as you can see they get on in real life).

Alfie and Kat actors didn’t get on once because their phones were being hacked and they thought each other were selling stories to the press! Once that was sorted out , I think they made up ( only what I’ve read online , but many celebs had their phones hacked , so it made sense and must have caused friction)
I have always liked the characters together, they do have actual chemistry on screen and it’s funny how she was reeling off their very on and off relationship in the past ! I think this new wedding won’t go well according to my tv guide, which is sad.
It is a very quick wedding though because of this photo shoot.
