Is there a celebrity traitors thread yet?

Cast announced as, Stephen Fry, Mark Bonner, Celia Imrie, Alan Carr, Joe Wilkinson, Nick Mohammed, Ruth Codd, Paloma Faith, Lucy Beaumont, Charlotte Church, Jonathon Ross, Kate Garraway, Joe Marler, Tameka Empson, David Olusoga, Claire Balding, Tom Daley, Cat Burns & Niki Omilana.

I’m looking forward to this. I have a feeling that it will be harder for the celebs - some of whom must know each other - to trick people, but will definitely be watching. I’m glad it’s a good cast with several comedians.

Now wondering who would be good traitors. Mark Bonner in a cloak would put a smile on my face, but I’m worried that Alan Carr could be a Linda.

Do you follow him on twitter? I did for a while. He is very outspoken. And quite aggressive. Different to what I expected. I still follow him as I think he is a great historian, but I swerve a lot of posts.

My personal opinion of Stephen Fry is that he’s a misogynistic arse who isn’t as clever as he thinks he is. He will be interesting to observe, I think.

I hadn't been on twitter in quite a while so went off to have a look to see if I could find what I had remembered. Interestingly for all of 2025 DO's posts are reposts only. This was the first post back I came across from nearly a year ago. Most people I follow in the Arts world tend to not engage quite so bluntly. I find him very engaging on his history programmes, so the sharpness was a surprise. I wonder if we will see that aspect over time.

I am ridiculously excited about this so marking my place now!

Just finished Traitors Ireland 🇮🇪
So happy this is so close now! Wonder how many will keep up their "celeb persona" or will we see the real person?

Celeb Traitors will air every Wednesday and Thursday from 8th October, with the Final on Halloween!

I also see that the BBC have bought Traitors Ireland and it will go on iPlayer once the Celeb series has aired.

Haven’t RTFT but I don’t think celebrity traitors will be as good as normal ones purely because they will all know things about each other already. For example I can see people like Stephen Fry going quickly because he’s well known as being super clever, which means traitors will want to get rid of him and faithfuls might be suspicious of him being a great and deceptive traitor. It just doesn’t leave any opportunity for them to conceal or even lie about certain things like in the normal one (hello Welsh Charlotte and Diane/Ross relationship).

Im sure it’ll still be good and there are some great names on it but it will be a different dynamic to the normal one.

Confirmed that Traitors Uncloaked is back for the Celeb edition. Ed says he is in the castle too so sounds like they’ve prerecorded everything.

Article here on how the stars were picked, suggesting they went for people who like puzzles. I’m not completely convinced this isn’t spin, as I’m sure the producers are looking for good TV, but I do like the idea that they are all fans.

I am also intrigued by the meal arrangements. If they go to bed at midnight, and the filmed breakfast isn’t really breakfast (it’s probably filmed much later in the day with multiple takes), when do they get actual breakfast?

I am sorry, but I find it so irritating when people rush to start a new thread or the next thread. @CarefulN0w has been gently tending this discussion for months so why the need to move the discussion elsewhere?

I think it is so one thread can be tv pace as you watch, and other threads are for general chat?

We're all watching at tv pace though. It's not a boxset released on Netflix. This really does make me feel grumpy, and looking at the agrees on my earlier post I am not alone. Humph.
