Cast announced as, Stephen Fry, Mark Bonner, Celia Imrie, Alan Carr, Joe Wilkinson, Nick Mohammed, Ruth Codd, Paloma Faith, Lucy Beaumont, Charlotte Church, Jonathon Ross, Kate Garraway, Joe Marler, Tameka Empson, David Olusoga, Claire Balding, Tom Daley, Cat Burns & Niki Omilana.

I’m looking forward to this. I have a feeling that it will be harder for the celebs - some of whom must know each other - to trick people, but will definitely be watching. I’m glad it’s a good cast with several comedians.

Now wondering who would be good traitors. Mark Bonner in a cloak would put a smile on my face, but I’m worried that Alan Carr could be a Linda.

Yes he did imply that there were other names. Perhaps he meant no one entity had got the full list correct, but that across everyone they had caught them all?

There's loads of people on there that I don't know but of the ones I do know, my money would be on Mark Bonner to win. The whole Welsh accent trustworthy thing that worked so well for Charlotte in the last series, I think a Scottish accent has a similar vibe. Plus he is an actor and a good one and has the benefit of being able to persuade people who know him that they only get a bad vibe because they've seen him playing baddies.

I have high hopes for him.

The celeb version will have a different dynamic as well because there will be more well know people and better known people who might outside of the game have a vested interest in trying to keep certain people in longer to become their friends for professional reasons. So a not very well known actor would be keen to become buds with a very well known actor thinking it would open up professional networks for them after the show - so may buddy up and try to form alliances even if they actually think the person is a traitor.

yeah agree. Loathe celebrity versions of these shows.

I may be the only David Olusoga fan so far? Now he definitely is clever. And very personable.

I'm expecting him to be very measured and calm. Probably quite quiet so he may go far as the others won't challenge him. On the other hand, he may surprise us all and be a complete headbanger and traitor extraordinaire! 😂

It will be interesting to see who they see as the strong characters to vote off and how the ganging up will work. Assuming some of the cast will know each other.

After hearing Nick Mohammed trying not to talk about it on the radio a few weeks ago I can’t wait to see him in action.

I agree that Joe Wilkinson will probably do well.

First candidates for banishment are surely Stephen Fry, David Olusoga and Clare Balding purely on the basis that so far they always try to get rid of the “smart” ones early on.

I was surprised by the choice but think he will bring a very interesting perspective to it, a more intellectual flair!

Haven’t read the whole thread and I’ve not watched any of the other shows, but I am surprised that Steve and Reiss from ‘ inside number 9’ are not in there. Seems to be right up their alley ( so to speak )
I might tune in for the celeb one.
