Is there a celebrity traitors thread yet?

Cast announced as, Stephen Fry, Mark Bonner, Celia Imrie, Alan Carr, Joe Wilkinson, Nick Mohammed, Ruth Codd, Paloma Faith, Lucy Beaumont, Charlotte Church, Jonathon Ross, Kate Garraway, Joe Marler, Tameka Empson, David Olusoga, Claire Balding, Tom Daley, Cat Burns & Niki Omilana.

I’m looking forward to this. I have a feeling that it will be harder for the celebs - some of whom must know each other - to trick people, but will definitely be watching. I’m glad it’s a good cast with several comedians.

Now wondering who would be good traitors. Mark Bonner in a cloak would put a smile on my face, but I’m worried that Alan Carr could be a Linda.

They haven't had a challenge involving water yet and Tom Daley might come in useful for that, so if I were a traitor I wouldn't get rid of him until afterwards.

Finally caught up! Alan is hilarious. Quite liking Jonathan as a traitor not going to lie. Clare - what a mistake.
Love it.

Davros · 13/10/2025 23:22

My theory is that the line up is so good because they’ve attracted slebs who don’t usually do this sort of thing - because it is The Traitors and they’re excited about being on it, maybe they are fans

Yawhat · 14/10/2025 01:13

I get the impression Mark Bonnar's star might be on the ascendancy, given everyone's reaction 😁

Silverbirchleaf · 14/10/2025 08:34

Do we have an early predictions as to who we think is going to win, going on the first couple of episodes? I think Nik may do well, but is he too clever, and I think could be recruited as a traitor further down the line. Surprised Clare was not mentioned more at the Round Table. Her mistake seems to been overlooked (or conversation edited out).

TessTickle0 · 14/10/2025 10:44

Isn't just me who thinks there isn't much point to traitor hunting?
If you think you know who they are, good! Keep them in, and behave all loyally to them.
It's seems better to just vote off the rest of the faithful because come the final if your lucky enough to still be in then you have a better chance of winning against who you are pretty sure are the traitor/s.
Once a traitor goes all they do is recruit and then your back to square one.
They all become obsessed with getting the traitors..and I know thats the game...but I would want to keep them in 🤔

CaveMum · 14/10/2025 10:45

@Silverbirchleaf I agree that Nick would be a fantastic recruitment and as Richard and Marina often say, "recruited traitor" is the strongest position in the game, providing the heat is not already on you, in which case you are just a lamb for the slaughter.

When the line up was announced I said I thought Nick and Joe Wilkinson would be my picks to make it to the Final. There's a few I don't "know" well enough (Niko, Ruth, Cat - all the young 'uns!) so my mind may change on them. I think the NTs (National Treasures - Stephen, Clare and Celia) will be gone pretty quickly.

I think Tom will find himself banished before too long - if he keeps being so vocal about who he thinks is a Traitor and keeps on getting it wrong then the finger will point at him pretty quickly.

Just for the other Mark Bonner fanatics can I recommend listening to his episode of the White Wine Question Time podcast. He comes over as so genuine and lovely and try not to well up when Kate reads the quote from his dad about him.

you have to vote the traitors off, it is kill or be killed!

Definitely! You do want to get rid of them but not immediately. And appear very trusting so they don't murder you

Ahem. Can you all get your hands off MB please. He’s all mine. We live in the same county and everything.

I think Alan will prove to be a more successful traitor than we expect. Underneath the flapping I suspect he is quite ruthless.

I can’t remember who I saw talking about Alan (it was either Richard and Marina or Josh Widdecombe!) but they said he’s incredibly intelligent, the flappy stuff is all an act.

See also Nick Mohammed and his “Mr Swallow” persona. Speaking of the lovely Mr Mohammed, I’ve finally caught up on the newest series of Slow Horses and he’s in it as the Mayor of London - just hope he’s not going to come to a sticky end!

But they just recruit new ones - that’s why at this stage it’s probably better to vote off faithfuls if you know who the traitors are, as at least then you don’t have to figure out who has been recruited

Make me. Dare you 😉.

I will admit that I am a bit curious what brought MB to everyone's attention because I honestly didn't think he was that well known. For me it was Catastrophe whenever that was, 2014 maybe?

JewelleryCat · 14/10/2025 14:08

I remember seeing him in Shetland and I think he was also in Line of Duty. I can’t remember seeing him in anything else recently

NewAgeNewMe · 14/10/2025 14:15

He’s in Guilt as well. And in a series of Unforgotten as well I think.

thepariscrimefiles · 14/10/2025 14:16

I remember him from Season 2 of Unforgotten.

worrisomeasset · 14/10/2025 14:19

If you want to see more MB, the first series of Guilt was one of the best things I’ve seen in the last decade and it’s still on the iPlayer. It’s brilliantly plotted, has some ingenious twists and a fantastic soundtrack. I wasn’t so keen on the two subsequent series.

EleanorReally · 14/10/2025 14:19

apparently he was in casualty, sadly i dont think i was watching it then in 2005 god dammit

He’s just low-level in everything! Usually as a brother or a bad boss

True. I even sat through at least one series of that god awful Porridge remake because of him 😬.

That series of Unforgotten was the first time I'd seen him playing someone nice, albeit flawed. Had totally forgotten he was ever in LOD!

Silverbirchleaf · 14/10/2025 14:40

Apparently, Jonathan Ross didn’t actually enjoy lying all the time, and has warned other friends not to do it, as he didn’t find it that enjoyable.
