Did anybody else get tickets yesterday?
I’m so excited, I love Shearsmith and Pemberton (and still nurse an almighty crush on RS). Also a bit nervous, as I still have to watch some episodes from the safety of behind a cushion.

I saw it in London and it was great, you'll love it! Couple of jump scares but not too bad - if it's the same show going on tour anyway. Enjoy!

BriceNobeslovesMurielHeslop · 03/04/2025 08:47

@Starryknightcloud thank you, I’m glad you enjoyed it! Who was your special guest star, if you don’t mind me asking.
I’m up in Edinburgh, and just couldn’t justify the cost of travel and accommodation to London. I saw the LoG reunion tour at the same theatre a few years ago, and it was spectacular, far exceeded my expectations!

I got tickets for Edinburgh, soon excited!

JohnKettleyIsAWeathermanAndSoIsMichaelFish · 03/04/2025 12:06

I saw it in the West End but am so tempted to go again! It was absolutely brilliant. There were a few jumpy bits, my friend screamed each time!

Yourmywifenow · 03/04/2025 14:46

We saw London and have just booked for the tour.
Was brilliant but no one else has seen it so can’t talk spoilers!
Also have crush on RS.
Waited at stage door and got my program signed.

spiderlight · 03/04/2025 14:47

Desperate to see this but it's not coming anywhere near us.

ThatsNotMyTeen · 03/04/2025 14:49

I’ve booked for Edinburgh too, looking forward to it!

Lottapianos · 03/04/2025 15:05

It's such a brilliant show. Definitely a few scary moments. They are SUCH brilliant writers and performers, they deserve every bit of their success. I wouldn't say I have a RS crush, but I get it 👍

Our celebrity appearance was Gary Kemp!

LuckyMoonstone · 03/04/2025 15:22

I got tickets! Really good seats too. I thought I would never get to see this show so I’m over the moon.
I may also have a major RS crush 🫣 I’d be way too nervous to wait outside for my programme to be signed!

I’m thinking I might wait at the stage door as well!
I’ve just realised that the last night in Edinburgh is the last date overall so might book again for that- I’m trying to be rational about it though.

Do it,😊. You won’t be disappointed.

BriceNobeslovesMurielHeslop · 03/04/2025 15:48

@Yourmywifenow I can see by your username that you might be as biased as I am 😄

Yep! So excited! I missed it on the west end and was really hoping they’d tour it.

(and also have quite a serious RS crush, and I think SP has lovely eyes, and they are both very clever Grin)

EmeraldRoulette · 04/04/2025 17:51

Hello! I was hoping for a chat thread when the West End run was over.

I suppose we could have a spoiler thread generally? I could talk about this for hours!

But I am delighted that it's going on tour and more people get a chance to share the fun.

I saw it twice. Once with a friend and once I got a return on my own. It is utterly brilliant.

I didn't find it that scary, but I think I have been well trained by now to constantly be looking for the misdirection.... although that doesn't mean that you're going to spot it! 😂

in terms of seeing it twice, it is so densely packed with absolutely everything, it is worth doing. And you'll still miss things. There is so much going on and it's so incredibly clever.

Doidontimmm · 04/04/2025 17:56

Can anyone explain kind of what’s it’s about? I’m in Edinburgh and fascinated after reading this thread!

EachandEveryone · 04/04/2025 18:51

Oh thanks for posting this. My nieces went in the West End and I’ve just booked Manchester. I might treat myself and book into the Lowry,

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 04/04/2025 19:03

DH and I saw it in London the guesf was Richard Osman .Lots of Inside no 9 reference and lots from Pyschoville ...which meant a rewatch of Pyschoville . The twist is exceptional. And you can all have your RS crushes but Steve Pemberton is mine (just so we're clear)

Have you seen inside no9 / Pyschoville/ League of Gents ? If not its not explainable 😂

EachandEveryone · 04/04/2025 19:15

It’s funny in real life I don’t know anyone who gets it appart from my family

Lottapianos · 04/04/2025 19:26

'DH and I saw it in London the guesf was Richard Osman'

So jealous. I love Richard Osman

TheDefiant · 04/04/2025 19:30

We had Dara O’Brien as our guest star and it was amazing.

I haven't seen League of Gentlemen!

short explanation for @Doidontimmm
Inside No 9 is an anthology show on TV with a new 30 mins story every time. You can watch them stand alone but you will see links and patterns if you watch them all

the theatre show is what they created after that. I know they wanted it to be a stand alone show and I'm sure it is, but you will benefit so much if you watch the TV show first.

the stage show is split into different storylines/acts but I haven't been able to count how many! 😂 Some of the TV episodes are genuinely dark. There's way more humour in the stage show.

if you want to watch a funny one from
the TV show, I think "Zanzibar" gives you the best idea of how clever and funny they are.

Lottapianos · 04/04/2025 19:55

'If you want to watch a funny one from

Oh yes, that's a stunner. Most of the script is written in iambic pentameter 😱 they're so brilliant

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 04/04/2025 20:16

Same! Everyone I asked never watched any inside no9 ( the savages)!

First inside no9 I watched was The Devil of Christmas (and yes there's a twist of course)😉.When I want my daughter to do something I say "brush my hair for me Julian you know I've never liked thunder" She knows.

Absolutely the same here. We're in Cardiff and the closest it's coming is Birmingham, which is about 2 hours away from us so not doable with babysitters. 🤦🏻‍♀️ I'm hoping they might extend the tour and add more venues later on.
