Did anybody else get tickets yesterday?
I’m so excited, I love Shearsmith and Pemberton (and still nurse an almighty crush on RS). Also a bit nervous, as I still have to watch some episodes from the safety of behind a cushion.

Saw it in London, it’s fabulous. The list of celebrity guests who have done the cameo is amazing.

EmeraldRoulette · 04/04/2025 21:21

No word of a lie.
As I was walking along the road to see it the second time, someone was actually talking to their friend about Zanzibar.

Except it turned out they were actually talking about the country and I was completely thrown 😂

First celeb guest we saw was - Denis Lawson. If you've seen the TV show and the live show, you'll know how joyously unique that felt 😂 That is literally the only guest with whom you could have had such an, er, "embedded" experience.

The second time was Mickey Flanagan. He was funny but it was a very different experience. Which is good of course! They've had some superb guests.

I think everyone fancies RS. Steve has a lovely chocolatey voice, reminds me of an ex who also comes from Lancashire. Is the place full of men with lovely chocolatey voices?

DH was watching Killing Eve (again) and guess who appeared .....😆 SP playing a nasty little waspish character but he is very good at nasty !.
He has the most amazing eyes so full of expression and he is improving with age like fine wine

LifeD1lemma · 04/04/2025 21:56

Another one with a massive RS crush here….what is it about him?! How is he both camp and sexy? 😂

Also saw it in London, also loved it.

PleaseDontFingerMyPouffe · 04/04/2025 22:04

I booked yesterday- really looking forward to it! Not having a holiday this year so it's my treat 😁

Going alone which is a bit rubbish but none of my theatre going friends are into / have seen Inside No 9

Duh · 04/04/2025 22:16

I’ve got tickets and I can’t wait. Love LoG and Inside No 9.

I’ve never seen Psychoville so must do so before the show.

I was so pleased with that, didn't know it was happening

PWB was the guest last night!

Fans of Steve, have you all watched Whitechapel? he is fantastic. The whole show is fantastic.

Lottapianos · 04/04/2025 22:25

'SP playing a nasty little waspish character but he is very good at nasty'

I remember that, he was great. Steve Pemberton v Fiona Shaw - such a treat

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 04/04/2025 22:28

We watch Whitechapel every year (DD has made it a Tradition) SP wrote one of the later episodes .He's a creepy little Ripperologist in that .
And Rupert PenryJones for added value

Definitely watch Pyschoville there are some references in the stage show

Pyschoville has lots of overlapping storylines but they all make sense in the end.

The 3rd LoG was like that till the final episode .

Psychoville is wonderful, you’ll enjoy it! I don’t think many people saw it at the time for some reason. I like to say “not now silent singer!” in moments of stress, no one knows what I’m going on about. 😂

I went alone in London as I got a last minute ticket. If I’d known they would do a tour I might have waited! Now debating whether to go again locally. The London show had some things specific to that theatre - do we think they’re going to change it for the regional ones?

JG24 · 04/04/2025 22:41

I saw it in London, it was brilliant and completely random, our guest was Les Dennis who was so funny!

They're certainly inventive enough too! I don't think the regional shows will be any poorer than the London one was. Glad to hear you enjoyed it enough to go again !

You absolutely 100% do.

I’ve seen it a few times, but Sir Bob (as he should be known) is the one I really wish I’d seen.

One of our guests was Paul Whitehouse - who was fantastic - and he did a little Bob impression which was so funny. Paul went completely off script, looked like he was loving it.
