Okay, so I know I am massively late to the party. But I just discovered this show and wow, what a show it is. I am currently bingeing my way through and am totally hooked!!! I am only on series 2 so far but almost at the end and have already downloaded all of series 3 ready!! I don't think I have loved a show like this for such a long time.

I am finding myself getting emotional most episodes. It gets me right in the feels and it has made me think of my parents, my own childhood, my own siblings, my kids and their childhoods and really reflect on my own life. I have never known a show do this to me before. So relatable in so many ways.

I just hope it stays as good and doesn't become a bit crap somewhere along the line. Please tell me it stays this awesome right to the end??

I also loved it! Although season 5 wasn't great (Covid time). I was sad when it finished and will often rewatch certain episodes.

Its free on channel 4 , i watched the first two series but they started messing about with the timing. Now on series 4 and omg......its fantastic!!! No spoilers though Lol

I loved it too - agree the covid episodes weren't great at the time although maybe now Covid is a distant memory they may not be so bad! Enjoy Op!

Agree the covid season is a bit iffy but that's true of so many shows at that time.

I was bored by the final season. I didn't find the characters likeable and the constant mournful music playing throughout each episode felt like it was for making viewers cry.

That is where I have found it, on Channel 4. All series free to watch so I thought what the hell. So glad I did. I have not been invested in a show in such a long time. Its brilliant!!!

I am glad that most people think its awesome to the end. Will make my own mind up and hope it doesn't disappoint. Trying not to binge too much at one time as its pretty heavy going with the emotion so trying to just enjoy as and when I get chance to sit on my own and watch something. But its pretty addictive at the minute!!

At the moment I love Jack, Rebecca is nice too but a little annoying at times. Loving the Big 3, young and older. How cute is 8 year old Randall though? Toby is funny but not sure if he could become annoying. Really love Beth's character and not really sure on Miguel so far. Has he always loved Rebecca? He says not but I think maybe? 🤔William is my fave. I just adore him. Oh its just sooooooo good!!!! 😂

I have been watching it on Disney+ and am just onto season 4 although it is taking me a loooooong time to get through it. I am absolutely loving it but it is a rare episode when I don't cry.

When I found it and saw it was 6 series and how many episodes per series I was a bit dubious about investing in it. I mean, its a commitment 😂But I am glad I did. I am in no rush to finish it so will just enjoy watching. I know what you mean though, there have been few episodes that have not moved me to tears. Its an emotional show.

Oh it is soon good. I could happily (and sadly) watch it again and again. It is amazing till the end. I've only watched the last series when it came back to channel 4. I think it moved to a channel I didn't have (or it was on too.late and around that time i had a baby) at the time so couldn't watch for years.

I wish I could unwatch it to rewatch it if that makes sense.

Its brilliant. I nearly didn't invest in watching it because there are soooooo many episodes but I am loving it so much. I am so glad I made the decision to give it a go. I watched the first one just thinking I would see what its like and if its something I wanted to commit to watching. But after that first episode I knew I was in trouble 😂Hooked!!

William.is wonderful.

I really wasn't a fan of William at all but can see I'm in the minority on this thread (& was on the main thread way back when too!)

I variously loved and hated all the main characters at different points throughout the 6 series (except Beth, I always loved Beth) which I think is testament to the excellent script, storylines and development arc of each character. I was definitely moved to tears on several occasions.

One thing I found odd was that Jack was written up as an absolutely amazing father and dad but he did several questionable things (won’t list them as some will definitely be spoilers) such that I couldn’t get on board with that depiction of him. I think some of the things both he and Rebecca (who also seemed to walk around with a halo above her head) did were quite selfish.

I watched this as it went out - was bereft when it finished as was DH. It was a real weekly event for us.

Loved Randall, thought Kevin was so complicated and interesting, found Kate quite annoying, adored Jack and Rebecca and their relationship. The split time thing was so original and engaging.

I did find it dipped around the Vietnam series but the ending was just brilliant. Cried most weeks. Lucky you with so much to discover.

I'm so excited to finish watching this now after all the comments!!!!! I can't wait for the rest of the story to unfold. I love how we get snippets of stuff in each episode either of the past or what is still to come. Its awesome!!
