Welcome to the EastEnders spoilers thread, where we post and talk about any EE spoilers we've read about, including those in early release episodes on iPlayer.

Link below to watch episodes on BBC iPlayer - these are usually dropped at 6am on broadcast days - and you can read brief synopses of upcoming episodes:

Checking in

I'm grumpy I can't watch live tonight as we're out

the80sweregreat · 20/02/2025 09:18

Thanks south !..

I'd forgotten that Tony king tried it on with Lauren too :(
I really can't recall that , only Whitney as they did a piece for ' children in need ' with Whit and grooming.

the80sweregreat · 20/02/2025 09:19

Predictions for tonight
..
I feel sorry for Sonia having a baby in such a place .. I just hope the baby is ok

If I remember rightly max cottoned on to what was happening

the80sweregreat · 20/02/2025 09:20

I really can't remember Lauren with that monster ! I think he died ?

storminabuttercup · 20/02/2025 09:25

I had to google if he'd died but yeah he committed suicide in his cell

the80sweregreat · 20/02/2025 09:27

That's good re Tony king :(
At least the proper baddies do get their comeuppance on EE.
It's a wonder that Max didn't try and kill him.
I do remember the story with Whitney though and how he was with her etc
It was chilling

Anyonecanfallinlove · 20/02/2025 09:28

Not looking forward to tonight's episode, I don't want Martin to die, don't care who Denise chooses and I don't want to see Sonia give birth.
Chris has done well during his time but he has got this so very wrong. It's all regurgitated stuff we've seen many times before.

the80sweregreat · 20/02/2025 09:32

I do understand why people are not impressed with this weeks offering , but for older viewers like me it was a real nostalgic feast and made me feel a bit emotional at times , even if it only silly soap! I do agree they should move on now and maybe a new build pub will help with this too, bring it up to date and bring on the younger generation.

Itisjustmyopinion · 20/02/2025 09:52

I have plans tonight and before this week I was trying to find a way out of it but after the episodes this week I am really not that bothered

Maybe it was the hype or maybe they are just not good but this has been a massive let down with a lot of potential not used

Grant’s return should have been better.

I do want a Martin/Stacey reconciliation but all that let’s have a chat about our relationship while trying to escape from the pub was ridiculous

Also surely they would have heard Sonia when they were getting out at the end as the kitchen is beside the door they used

How did Grant get Sharon out so easily when everyone else in the same vicinity couldn’t

And then there is Angie’s ghost - that was a jumping the shark moment for me

Only decent thing was Phil, Linda and Nigel. They were great

Didnt realise CC was leaving. That’s good, hope he takes Jumper and co with him

Snapespeare · 20/02/2025 09:54

I also couldn't care less who D chooses. Whoever it is, it wont last.

the80sweregreat · 20/02/2025 09:58

No, the Dee choice is a bit silly as both men are just awful.
It probably was Stacey / Martin / Ruby but then Lacey was pregnant with her third child, so they made it this ( is my guess!)

Hazel665 · 20/02/2025 10:00

Phil, Linda and Nigel were great.

Is Phil's limp part of the storyline, or I wondered if Steve McFadden actually does have something wrong, like hip arthritis and he could use Phil's time in the hospital to get a hip replacement.

the80sweregreat · 20/02/2025 10:02

Phil fell down the car pit at the arches , so probably from this.
I hope he comes back rejuvenated like L has

Shellingbynight · 20/02/2025 10:04

I'm definitely an older viewer but I have not enjoyed the last couple of episodes. There were some good bits, but as others have said a lot of it seems so cliched. And the entire Cindy plot should have gone in the bin.

@Southeastdweller re Honey's comment (which you mentioned on the previous thread) I agree it was very self absorbed. It might be something you think a week later, but not when you are climbing over the rubble!

Hazel665 · 20/02/2025 10:05

Yes, L looks great.

Shellingbynight · 20/02/2025 10:05

Phil's limp is from the fall in the pit, he was limping a lot worse a week ago.

Thank you,yes of course, the fall!

the80sweregreat · 20/02/2025 10:08

Honey was just a bit emotional I suppose
She is a perfectionist at heart and nobody will remember her big day now !
( apart from having a handy marquee up which made sure that not everyone was in the pub )
Plus all that money wasted on food they didn't eat.

the80sweregreat · 20/02/2025 10:12

The nurses in the hospital will look at Cindy and go ' not her again ' !
She hasn't been out that long from her last visit

Shellingbynight · 20/02/2025 10:13

The gas canisters were there for the wedding food weren't they? I wasn't sure why they were stored in the Vic, but I got bored with the wedding catering talks!

MadisonAvenue · 20/02/2025 10:15

I’ve just seen Kellie Bright’s Instagram and it appears that Angie’s return was even kept secret from the rest of the cast, she said she didn’t know until she watched the episode last night.

the80sweregreat · 20/02/2025 10:20

The gas was for the bbq.
George asked Ian to put some bottles in the barrel store or somewhere like that ( that door that was at the side once) I did think that was funny ordering him about.
I've a feeling that Cindy and George will have an affair , he was very quick to defend her on Tuesday and Elaine will blame George for the explosion I suppose. It wasn't his fault, but having the gas right there might have been?
Plus I hope they have insurance and liability insurance for the re build
Could be a total nightmare on that front

Southeastdweller · 20/02/2025 10:20

Yes she's always been a bit highly strung, wanting everything perfect and so I think in keeping with her character she'd make that comment to Billy even when chaos was surrounding her. Tbh, I think I'd react the same.

I've generally enjoyed the episodes so far this week other than Cindy's slightly incredible hysteria and I have no investment with the Jack/Denise/Ravi story. Sure some of it's been clichéd, but that's just the nature of soaps. I hope they don't do any more hallucinations from now on, there's been a few recently, which have been effective but no more.

the80sweregreat · 20/02/2025 10:22

I wonder how they kept it secret ?
Anita Dobson ( lady May ) came back for the Grant interview, so they probably did it then separately or something? Clever.
