I'm surprised they're so casual about it, especially as so many people just seem to be able to walk in at any given moment.
Not looking forward to the inevitable fall out when Jean finds out.

Mo will suss out the affair within a week. She is already suspicious and seems to show up everywhere lately.
Not sure what to think about the new Mitchells tbh. I think the writers might toy with us a bit and I agree that the ex girlfriend may well turn up alive and well with her baby and her own horrible family I suppose! It's bound to be a story that will grow into a big old showdown with someone.

They never mention money much so they ?
Zack must be out of a job now at Harry's Barn and only the cheffing at Ravi's ( although he is never there ) so how is he living ? Does he just have money given to him by Sharon or maybe on benefits?
Sonia and Bianca are not at work although Son may be on mat leave.
The knights must be living off insurance pay outs ? How does that work ?
Always a mystery ! lol

Bianca’s financial situation and the (council?) flat in Milton Keynes she seems to have abandoned has long been a mystery. No idea if Sonia is on mat leave…but from what job? The last I remember she worked at the now defunct Doctor’s surgery.

The Knights have been surprisingly upbeat considering their home, business and possessions have all gone up in smoke! Insurance payouts take months so they must be living on savings.

The Knights do seem happier not working !
Bi and Sonia must be on benefits I suppose.
Maybe Morgan is back in the council flat snd keeping that going ( not that any of her children or Whit of her mum have bothered about her much at all for months and months)

I thought the GP surgery was still going , but you never see it and Sonia didn't seem to work there much.
Considering how many accidents and punch ups they have and so on, you'd think they would be mega busy

We hardly ever see characters at work nowadays, they are too busy getting jailed or kidnapped, or giving someone a good kicking. Even Harvey who is supposed to be a cab driver seems to spend all day sitting in the cafe. No one in the Slater household has done any work for weeks!

At least we used to see Robbie Jackson sweeping up occasionally!
Kathy works a bit in her cafe and we saw Mo and Jean cleaning today , but generally people doing a full shift or going out to work is rare or they leave it mid shift to do something else !

Zac is a Registered Foster Carer , he would've got some funding as his short term care of Tommy was official ( rather than Kat just asking "can he stop at yours for a while ?" )

Kaff got out of a BlackCab when she came back from seeing Rocky . Maybe she wanted the visit to be anonymous ? If she booked one of KatzKabz they'd know where she was going or coming home from - though it's no secret that Rocky is in The Big House !

Though Kat will think "Well that's the last cup of tea I;m buying in your cafe "

Nic said about her bar "raking it in" partly because of the funeral (them holding wakes and memorials - are they doing the catering for the Wake ?) and the Vic being closed .
But it is hardly buzzing !
The only time I;ve seen that place with a queue was the night of The Crush .

I forgot about Zack being a foster parent.
Yes, Harv could have given Kathy a fare to prison!
Kat is another one rarely at work though.
Cabs are busy in London , but not her place

They're always buying stuff from takeaways, restaurants or the cafe. Must be made of money.

None of them seem particularly hard up do they?
The cost of living crisis doesn't affect the residents of Walford.
Businesses run themselves and people tend to work when they feel up to it.

It's feast or famine on the square. Everyone is doing fine financially unless a crisis is manufactured for plot purposes. Like when Denise was suddnely fainting from hunger and going to a food bank a few years ago. Her 'poverty' vanished as quickly as it appeared and within a couple of weeks she was fine.

Oh yes, Denise eating out of bins, then suddenly she wasn't.

I thought Kath going to visit Rocky was a good reminder about what terrible choices she makes in men, so a relationship with Harvey is pretty much doomed!

80s Nic is raking it in because of the drug dealing!

It's just amazing that after the whole pub explosion, woman in chains held hostage, man killed by falling bath, another crushed to death in ruined pub etc, there's no sign that any of that made the news media. In real life newspapers and TV would be all over the scene. The inquests alone would have made the headlines. Bianca and Sonia could sell their stories and make a fortune.

Most of the residents could sell their stories tbf! lol They have all had things happen to them that would be more interesting to the wider public than just the local Walford gazette. Although I admit I've never thought of this before. I'm sure that ' take a break ' or ' pick me up ' mags would pay for their stories too.
Bianca said that a journalist was at the funeral today for Reiss, but she wasn't impressed by them being there.
At least they showed Lauren looking after baby Julia. They usually forget to mention child care arrangements.

Only just watched it but roaring with laughter at Bianca throwing up in the tuba.

Patsy Palmer is a legend.

Linda's present of a little box to put Julia's baby teeth in was sweet, EE has some good scenes amongst all the violence and affairs!

Seems odd that they have to meet up in the cafe or the Albert or Harry's now the Vic is being rebuilt.
They all seem at a loss and spread out a lot more !

I've had a read of next weeks offerings and nothing about Martin's funeral at all.
Anyone have any idea when it will be?

The funeral was filmed two weeks ago so we’ll see it in the second half of April.
