Welcome to the EastEnders spoilers thread, where we post and talk about any EE spoilers we've read about, including those in early release episodes on iPlayer.

Link below to watch episodes on BBC iPlayer - these are usually dropped at 6am on broadcast days - and you can read brief synopses of upcoming episodes:

That Whitney abuse storyline was one of the best I've seen - so realistic

Very foolish oversight from chris clenshaw there. I'm not a fan at all, he's very much about grabbing the headlines with big storylines and then having zero follow through

Southeastdweller · 20/02/2025 10:25

Maybe there was a small team that went to her home to film it - make up, camera person etc? Her bit didn't need to be filmed in a studio from what it looked like.

I think Honey in shock - very few people knew what to do or say and there's a flight/freeze response... but I do get that finally getting your 'big day' and then everything falling apart is traumatic. It would have been more realistic, I think if she had been a bit bridezilla-y in the run up.

mumofoneAlonebutokay · 20/02/2025 10:26

Thank you for the new thread @Southeastdweller xx

Also hate Stacey 😭

She's a phenomenal actress, her and Ruby in 2006/7 were amazing to watch but she just annoys me with her choices 🙄

the80sweregreat · 20/02/2025 10:27

What was really far fetched was Stacey having a little chat with Martin amongst such devastation! I know that my partner would told me to stay quiet and just concentrate on getting out of there fast
Most people would especially with everything creaking around them like that.
She seemed totally unaware and they had to film her from the head up too because of her preg

Anyonecanfallinlove · 20/02/2025 10:28

I knew something would happen with Angie as soon as I saw her on set on the Ross Kemp programme, I was expecting a voice recording on an old tape or something. When Sharon said about the letter, I thought it would be read by Angie.
I didn't mind the Angie appearance as it was for the original viewers. I do find her scary, in an unhinged way.

I still don't understand how Grant, Bianca and Reiss all got in through the back door, that caused Martin so much hassle. Grant even carried Sharon out that way, so there's no way he lifted the fallen plank to exit. If Martin had followed the same route as Reiss and Bianca, then him and Stacey could have climbed out the window or helped in the kitchen

freelancersunite · 20/02/2025 10:32

I found the whole huge devastation in the pub odd - there’s a few entry / exit doors and the explosion didn’t look like it had done that much damage to the other side of the building. Where were the emergency services removing people? All that part of it was a bit far fetched but I enjoyed it all the same.

the80sweregreat · 20/02/2025 10:33

Angie was always a bit scary sometimes
A strong woman , but totally under Dens control and hiding a lot of pain under her facade of being in control. She was only in it for a few years , but such an iconic character

I have plans tonight and before this week I was trying to find a way out of it but after the episodes this week I am really not that bothered

Maybe it was the hype or maybe they are just not good but this has been a massive let down with a lot of potential not used

Grant’s return should have been better.

I do want a Martin/Stacey reconciliation but all that let’s have a chat about our relationship while trying to escape from the pub was ridiculous

Also surely they would have heard Sonia when they were getting out at the end as the kitchen is beside the door they used

How did Grant get Sharon out so easily when everyone else in the same vicinity couldn’t

And then there is Angie’s ghost - that was a jumping the shark moment for me

Only decent thing was Phil, Linda and Nigel. They were great

Didnt realise CC was leaving. That’s good, hope he takes Jumper and co with him

I'd love for the knights and the new Mitchells to just disappear

Along with muppet and his bloody dadaji whinging

Yeah it's been bad - I get he is supposed to be referencing but for me it's like he's been watching on ukdrama and ripping off the ideas

Stacey causing a man's death - done 15 years ago. Missing that tony connection. Pissing off the cast. Bringing back joe swash who seems like a bellend. Messy 😒

the80sweregreat · 20/02/2025 11:00

Joe as Mickey Miller wasn't too bad really. I liked the cheekie chappie persona
Joe as himself is a bit of a nightmare though !

lazymum99 · 20/02/2025 11:01

Just looked up Julia Smith. I didn’t realise she died in 1997. So it would be fitting to call the baby after her. Also the poodle that played Roly was her dog!

And they were all sitting there "the door is blocked, we can't get out" until eventually Ravi broke the window

Southeastdweller · 20/02/2025 11:03

Yes - Angie was very vulnerable under the facade.

I just read that Kellie Bright based her performance on Angie / Anita.

Watched since the first episode so I enjoyed last night.
What I did note is that there must be real
life tension between Grant and Phil as they could have had a powerful scene together - but didn’t. That was a much-missed one as it could have been very emotional. They didn’t appear together on the Ross Kemp 40 documentary, he has talked ‘around’ Steve rather than about him in interviews this week.
Why Sonia would stay in that building when Bianca has just cleared a way through I’ve no idea.
I wish the new Mitchell’s had all been hit by the same bath as Reece. When he appeared like a bloody, deranged Paddington…
Finally the BBC released one of my fave eps this week, when Michelle told Sharon about Dirty Den being Vicky’s father.
1989… when teenage girls had big perms, had Jam sandwiches for lunch and interior decor/tidiness didn’t happen. Both actresses are superb - worth a watch!

I've just snorted at deranged Paddington

Brilliant

the80sweregreat · 20/02/2025 11:24

Not sure if it's true, but apparently Danny Dyer and Steve Mc fadden had a falling out and didn't get on, but you read all sorts online and most of it is rubbish!

Viewer23 · 20/02/2025 11:52

Thanks for the new thread!

the80sweregreat · 20/02/2025 11:55

Maybe Zac will discover that Barney is his child and do a ' I am your father ' speech after Nicola tells him to keep quiet.

scorchedwitch · 20/02/2025 12:15

Zac saying he had a fling with Nicola 16 years ago means he is absolutely Barney's dad. Such bollocks though.

the80sweregreat · 20/02/2025 12:25

Nicola will ask Zac for 16 years worth of Child support , but don't tell Jumpers !

Shellingbynight · 20/02/2025 13:15

What's the betting Nicola and Jumpers will have got back together when that revelation spills out (because Sharon is surely going to go back to Phil).

Shadesofscarlett · 20/02/2025 13:24

I think Martin will live but Stacey will go. She is toddling off on maternity leave. Actually she is already on it, so she will return for the live to die.

MrsDThaskala · 20/02/2025 13:30

Me too. Placemarking.

I loved seeing Angie but it was pretty hilarious her walking backwards to fade away...!

I have enjoyed the behind the scenes shows as we kept seeing Roly! 😍
