We have had Super Saturday, A good dozen songs are confirmed.

We have controversy in the song from Malta and the Maltese word for singing. Essentially the whole of Finland’s song is arguably even more controversial. Ireland are singing about the Russian dog sent to space in the 50s. Our band has possibly been leaked as a country girl group. Mans might be back for Sweden.

Anyone getting excited yet? Any opinions on the songs so far?

Yeah, that could be a bit embarrassing. Although, if you were both single and looking for fun it might work out well!

Me too, the video is hilarious!

Its easier for the BBC to deal with crowd noise (we had that last year).

It'll amuse the fans anyway.

Ultimately it works for everyone really!

So the UK entry this year has been really really winding me up because there's a rift in it which is a complete rip off of something else.

Will be interesting to see the betting but I suspect it will bomb.

And as expected France's odds are now lengthening and it's dropping down the favs list.

Albania up to 10th in the odds - it has been steadily climbing for the past couple of weeks.

There is now a poll on the Eurovision World Website. It has Austria, Sweden and Finland as the top 3. We are 29th. You can only vote for one country on there. (Albania is 5th)

France is alright but I don’t think the song lives up to all the hype. It’s early days though as I find songs grow on me or I lose interest over time and listens. Germany, Luxembourg and Lithuania are dropping down my list having really liked them early on and Portugal, Belgium and Norway are rising.

I think Italy, Czechia and Sweden will stay as my top 3 though. Only Sweden has a winning chance out of those ones as far as I can tell. Of course the live performances will make a massive difference.

I think that Sweden will be a great live performance. I watched KAJ's parody version of Nessun Dorma last night (it's about a Nissan breaking down) - they know how to do a performance.

I really like France and I think it has potential if they stage it right. The hype was too much and the setting of the big stadium doesn't really fit the song, but at Eurovision the presentation will be very different.

It's emotional without being clichéd (which I felt Mon Amour was, even though I did like it).

And now I'm a blubbering mess after reading the translation of the lyrics, possibly because I've lost my mother too (though nowhere near as young as Louane did).

It's stunning.

I’m not a fan of France. Feel it’s over hyped!

France's song is good, a real tear-jerker and I like it a lot. I think I preferred Slimane's song, however. I think it was stronger. I think Louane will do well with this.

My current favorites (alphabetically) based only on Spotify listening - I haven't seen any of the staging or music videos.

Denmark, Greece, Israel, Lithuania, Poland, Spain

Cyprus, Denmark, France, Norway and San Marino are growing on me.

Latvia is going the other way. As are Armenia and Ukraine.

Have you seen Remember Monday singing on the sofa? They are really good - hopefully will get some points. I just think the song isn’t quite there somehow. Doesn’t get going or something with all the tempo changes.

It's an odd song, there are bits I really like but just as you start getting into it, it switches up again.

I expect they'll be very good vocally and I think they'll get some reasonable jury points, it's the televote that will possibly be a struggle. If they can do something interesting with the staging who knows.

Semi Final running order out.

Interesting to note Sweden and Austria are in different semis both at the number 6 slot.

Ooof. That’s a tough place in the running order for Ukraine. Could we be seeing their first ever NQ in May?

Ukraine will be fine, they have a huge diaspora all over Europe. And the song does have its fans.

It'll be a struggle for Ireland to qualify now. We were already borderline but I think opening the show could have helped. It will stand out a bit against the songs around it, but still, I suspect we're done for.

I absolutely love the Irish entry.
