Welcome to the EastEnders spoilers thread, where we post and talk about any EE spoilers we've read about, including those in early release episodes on iPlayer.

Link below to watch episodes on BBC iPlayer - these are usually dropped at 6am on broadcast days - and you can read brief synopses of upcoming episodes:

Not sure what the live one will be about tbh
Must be an hour tonight ( pre recorded) with people being rescued or sent off to hospital, but what the live one will be about I've no clue.
I wonder if it'll all be live or just bits of it ( which they have done before )
It's a bit of a mystery

InALonelyWorld · 19/02/2025 11:46

@the80sweregreat I think the live episode is about Dee and her choosing between Jack and Ravi. The vote goes live at 8.30pm tonight but I can't imagine that's going to be a very exciting episode

milesmachine · 19/02/2025 11:51

Natalie Cassidy has said she gives birth in the live one so their must still be people stuck

I think the death will be in the live one too

Probably. I can’t say I’m wildly excited about the prospect of that story culmination, but I’m sure RADA trained Diane Parish will be great.

It would be a really ballsy move for Chris Clenshaw to kill off a character who's been in it since almost the beginning. The actor who plays Martin has four kids, so he won't be quitting anytime soon.

I was thinking the same thing about James Bye (aka Martin) - I can't imagine him leaving voluntarily.

I was impressed that Phil knew where Junior's flat was - have they ever even crossed paths?

MadisonAvenue · 19/02/2025 12:06

Really hope it’s not Martin.

It does sound like the live episode will
focus more on Denise, Ravi and Jack which I suppose makes sense for a live one as there’ll be less actors and scenes involved.

This is what the Radio Times says about the vote;
“Once the vote has been counted and verified, Chris Clenshaw will be handed the result and will have just 20 minutes to confirm which script is being used before the live episode starts at 7:30pm.
And as a bonus treat for viewers, once you've cast your vote for Denise's partner, you'll be given an extra vote which will go down in Walford history - though details of that are being kept under tight wraps...“

Annonymiss123 · 19/02/2025 12:07

I thought it was strange that Jessie Wallace wasn't part of the BBC3 show last night - there's been no sign of her lately. Assuming the current episodes were filmed 6 weeks ago, she's been missing a while (Alfie & Tommy both at the wedding but no sign of Kat). Maybe she's the Phantom Childminder!

Scott Maslen (Jack) was hyper during the BBC3 show!

Joe Swash was as annoying as ever!

Bunionbabe · 19/02/2025 12:08

Yawning already..💤💤

the80sweregreat · 19/02/2025 12:11

Another vote! Blimey
Is it to vote on who dies ?..
Which is dark even by EE standards , so can't be that !
I thought that Jack looked a bit drunk on that bbc three programme and Joe was goading Ian, but he wasn't biting.
The actors didn't look that comfortable at times , but might be nerves over being live or maybe one or two don't get on. It must be difficult if you have screen partners you don't like much !

the80sweregreat · 19/02/2025 12:13

Grant ( Ross kemp) did interview Jessie Wallace on the one that was shown on Monday night
She was quite reserved. Michelle Collins came across well though , I do like her

They'd want to get over that pretty quick! 😄When Joe S asked Adam Woodyatt about being nervous doing the live show he replied that he wasn't because it was just like being on stage. Shows the difference between actors who do other work and those who have never done anything but EE / TV.

Yes - I thought she came across very strange. As if she didn't want to be there.

the80sweregreat · 19/02/2025 12:25

Jessie Wallace clearly didn't want to do that interview much! Maybe some are just like that.
Steve M never does interviews or chat shows

the80sweregreat · 19/02/2025 12:28

Ravi has done Shakespeare and live theatre. I've a feeling he won't mess up too much

StasisMom · 19/02/2025 12:42

Is this the same BBC3 show with Joe Swash making Kim pretend to give birth? That was so weird, I love Tameka Empson and thought she gamely went along with it, but was probably thinking WTF...

Giantjoelguesser · 19/02/2025 12:47

Jessie Wallace was on Lacey Turner's podcast and she said something along the lines of wishing she'd been quieter in the early days. I think she's had a lot of bad press (possibly made bad choices) in her time and maybe now wants more privacy like Letitia Dean. It must be awful for them, they are scrutinised at every opportunity. I wouldn't want to be involved either, if it meant people may comment on my mood or eagerness or appearance etc.
Letitia has done really well to keep her life private, she did do the Ross Kemp show but she was in full Sharon costume.

Itisjustmyopinion · 19/02/2025 12:49

I get the feeling from different interviews that Natalie Cassidy’s exit was not her choice so it may be the same for James Bye (Martin).

Obviously they won’t want to take the shine off the 40th by saying something about that but it does mean that there may be a clear out happening.

Although there are many others I would get rid off before those two - the new Mitchells and the Knights would be top of my list

the80sweregreat · 19/02/2025 12:57

Tameka was also strange last night with the 'birth acting. ' I was cringing a bit there
I've seen her on other shows and she seems quite posh/ well spoken.

the80sweregreat · 19/02/2025 13:00

I wouldn't miss Nicola , but Teddy isn't too bad.
I can see Elaine and George in a new pub ! Will be nice to have a less grimy place and get shot of the hanging baskets and less than hygienic kitchen. It needs a face lift.
I hope the Queen Vic bust has survived it all

the80sweregreat · 19/02/2025 13:05

When the phone hacking scandal was at its peak , Jessie Wallace and Shane Ritchie fell out as they both thought they were selling stories about each other and they were frosty for ages until they discovered it was their phones being hacked instead !

Shellingbynight · 19/02/2025 13:13

I thought Jessie was just quite shy, I've not seen her do interviews before (much like Steve).

I think the additional vote will be to name Sonia's baby, probably with predictable options like Dorothy and Victoria.

StasisMom · 19/02/2025 13:13

It was all so weird! I remember seeing her in a celebrity Apprentice and she seemed quite shy and reserved... Hope she lives, cripes!

Season 6 Ugh GIF by Parks and Recreation

I've gone off joe swash tbh, watching that

Like, he's not that great, hes stacey solomon's husband and should remember that!

And Adam woodyatt might be a bit weird and like his character, but he's still got bags of acting experience compared to Joe

Same with Scott maslen And tamika

*not sure about the surname spellings

the80sweregreat · 19/02/2025 13:25

Ahh! Naming a baby.
It's bound to be Dorothy I bet. Her and Dot were so close.
Then she'll go into the kiddie cupboard until Sonia leaves ( hopefully a happy ending)

Omg i didn't know this! This is the tea we need

Celebs these days are so media trained, celeb goss is boring 😒

cramptramp · 19/02/2025 13:28

I know Joe Swash was in Eastenders but I can't remember anything about his character, that's how much of an impact he made on me.
