My DH works in the evenings and I'm trying to get out of the habit of scrolling through my phone to pass the time!

Can anyone recommend any funny series I can get stuck into?

Some stuff I've watched in the past and loved:

English Teacher (binged this last week and it's great)
Motherland (was very late to the party but also watched this recently! Would love to watch some more UK stuff)
What We Do In The Shadows
Stath Lets Flats
People Just Do Nothing
Schitts Creek
The Office US
Parks & Rec
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia
Curb Your Enthusiasm

I haven't watched much tv over the past couple of years so think I might have missed some good series. Any recs welcome!

@Pinkbendyman Psychoville is great! The David and Maureen episode will make a bit more sense! Wink

@YesYesAllGood me and DH have just finished watching all 9 series of Inside No 9 - absolutely brilliant and so clever.

Now moving onto Psychoville!

I love Psychoville, you’re in for a treat. I really struggle to spell it though.

I haven’t found much British tv recently that made me laugh out loud or feel happy. However, I have binge watched the American series Modern Family twice and it still makes me laugh. It’s on Disney but sometimes on one of the freeview channels too or maybe Sky.

BiggerBoat1 · 10/01/2025 22:47

Afterlife. Bloody brilliant

EvelynBeatrice · 10/01/2025 22:49

I recognise aspects of my own dad in Jay, the paterfamilias of the ( Modern) family.

OP, I've watched everything bar the first and third one on your list and I'm really enjoying Brooklyn 99, some same writers from the Office/Parks. Peep Show is a classic too Smile
