Surely all the houses they look around will have been sold before they have finished the work on their house? Which makes them more likely to just stay.

Yes, I do always wonder about that too 🧐

Delatron · 05/02/2025 20:54

They’re a nice couple. Not annoying like some weeks..!

Turmerictolly · 05/02/2025 20:56

It's a nice makeover (not sure about the botanicals in the kitchen though). Shame the garden is small but at least they haven't lost money. They're making the right decision to move.

Meredusoleil · 05/02/2025 20:58

Wasn't expecting them to be listing it tbh! Actually gasped when they said it.

Blondeshavemorefun · 05/02/2025 20:59

Bloody hell. A list it

Delatron · 05/02/2025 21:07

Oooh I was not expecting that!

Femalefootyfan · 05/02/2025 21:13

I also gasped out loud when they said they were listing.

Their own home looked so different but the garden was smaller and I think garden space became more important to Joanne. I had to laugh when at the start, they said ‘but the kids aren’t teenagers’ no, but they will be before they know it and they will run out of space upstairs when that time comes.

Good decision to list.

Mooosewoman · 05/02/2025 22:47

It turned out to be all about the garden! I loved the house next to the park.

deeahgwitch · 06/02/2025 00:51

I thought the renovations were great but I hated the diagonal flooring.

But would you want your autistic child playing there without you? Ok you can see the park from the garden but it's not as secure as your own back garden.

deeahgwitch · 06/02/2025 08:52

I agree @CaptBirdsEar
While the park was lovely to look at and for the children to play in, I would be worried about the security of my own garden and house.
Too easy access.

I'd like to see Phil and Kirstie's main residences 😀

How could he not see how selfish he was being taking over the whole house like that. And I agree that in her sewing and study room she didn’t have any kind of table to work at.

It wasn’t designed to my taste but then I don’t live there. It was a very cohesive and polished finish. I didn’t understand the kitchen design though. The sink was in a tight space with nowhere to drain anything. Yes they will have a dishwasher but you still need a drainage space.

Yes! DH and I actually paused and rewound to look at the sink again and couldn’t get our heads around it! They seemed to have two eye level ovens but no draining board.

Fair point but I was thinking about what I liked rather than the couple with the autistic child.

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/02/2025 10:46

No way I would be leaving an autistic child or even mini blondes 7 at a park and being in the garden next door

I wouldn’t like to be so close to a park with the anti social behaviour that can happen in parks, especially late evening

E2 tonight

Aneri and nihar cottage in Radlett is cute but the tight area is off putting

Kirstie has a plan.

Prob knocking down walls. She does love to knock a wall

phi's search leaves everyone speechless

I'm late to this but what was going on with the wet room floor. It had black and white flooring that looked old and muddy?

Felt like I was going mad watching it cos no one mentioned it.

I think it just wasn’t finished yet?

tothelefttotheleft · 06/02/2025 20:16

@HotCrossBunplease

Thankyou. I probably missed that doing something else.

HotCrossBunplease · 06/02/2025 22:53

I actually looked at it again just now. It looked to me like it hadn’t been cleaned, as if the builders had literally just left moments before. Given how much time they spent looking at it there must have been a reason why it wasn’t cleaned before filming. My guess is maybe the grout still had to dry so they couldn’t mop yet.

Chilliflakes14 · 07/02/2025 19:07

Lovely family last night. I was surprised they decided to list. The house looked very nice in the end although I thought the dining table looked small for a family.

SwankyPants · 07/02/2025 19:55

We thought they did a really good job. It completely changed the place. Not surprised they listed though, when they kept talking about the outside space.

tothelefttotheleft · 07/02/2025 21:33

@HotCrossBunplease

I was still thinking about that floor today and worked out it can't have been an old floor cos in a wet room the floor is so important!

Yes, I do always wonder about that too 🧐

Last week Phil said when driving them about that he hadn’t yet seen the finished work. I wonder if they look at houses the same time that they come up to film the look at the improvements.
