The only sort of link to Cindy I can think of is that Bianca's son Liam had a child with Cindy junior , so Bianca and Cindy share a grandchild and they live in Germany.

Ian and David Wicks are half brothers and David is Bianca's dad , and Cindy had an affair with him, but it's all very tenuous.

Peter Beale senior ( Pauline Fowler's twin brother ) was married to Pat Harris once and they had David.
Pat went on to marry a Brian wicks and David took his name. Pat also went on to become Pat Butcher by marrying Frank.
Kathy was with Peter Beale from a teenager and she had Ian. Peter senior was older than her.
I didn't realize that Ian and David were half siblings until he came back last year tbh.

Cindy and David had Steven , but Ian brought him up as his own as David isn't stay with Cindy and ran out on her. Peter and Lucy were Ian's children.

It's just speculation regarding the Foster family I think. The lady detective told Cindy that many had died, but I suppose many other Fosters are available and grudges run deep in the east end.
Although it feels too much of a coincidence really , she's been back a while

What did Cindy see that she ended up in witness protection over?

Cindy was in prison for trying to have Ian murdered by a hitman.
She was pregnant with Cindy junior with her Italian lover too.
She witnessed something in prison and was asked to testify and be able to go into witness protection and be free! Cindy junior went to live with Cindy's sister and her mum and dad in Devon as a baby. Ian and everyone were told she had died in child birth.
Cindy ended up in Marbella where she met George knight. He knew her as Rose and they had Gina and Anna.

I just assumed the brick through the window was Peter, trying to get his mum off Lauren as a suspect. I still feel sorry for Lauren. She keeps saying to people 'I'm pregnant' but no one seems remotely interested or worried for her. I agree with you about Lauren she is not some drug addict trying to get high she was getting serious withdrawal symptoms from taking the strong painkillers . The dr just told her she couldn’t have any more but did he offer much support?

Oooh I just realised - because Cindy was in the newspaper having been attacked, that would mean whoever it is from her past in prison that has a grudge against her could have found out where she is. Hence the brick! So not one of the current suspects at all!
