I feel numb watching the scenes this week with Linda - t's knowing she leaves next week so there's no tension.

What does Joe Swash do for work these days anyway? I know he did TV presenting for a while but that was years ago.

He pops up every now and then on Sort Your Life Out, being the cheeky chappy do anything his missus asks of him and then pops off again 🤷‍♀️

I thought Linda's drunk acting today was great. I used to know someone very similar.

Stacey is definitely the busier one out of those two ! I've seen him on tv with her, but nothing in the acting line

Sharon trusting this Nicola is out of character for her. She is normally much more savvy with her choice of friends and it wouldn't be her normally !

Joe S won Dancing on Ice but that was a few years ago. Lately I've only seen him being Mr Stacey Solomon on her show.

The lapse in the Bianca storyline is ridiculous. How can they get any tension back into that when we haven't seen them for six weeks.

Good point about Albie. And I don't think Phil has seen him for ages, you would think he'd be more interested. I did find that big pic of Peggy being taken down very sad, given what has happened to Babs.

Agreed re Bianca. One minute she was all over the square now she’s gone, does no one ask why or presume she’s with Whit up north or back in Milton Keynes. Having said that Sonia and Reece are noticeably absent too.

@usernother Linda’s acting is good but it’s sad if you’ve known people in real life like this as alcoholism is a disease. I’m wondering if Phil will be tempted by the alcohol Nicola gave him.

I was sad to see Peggy's photo just abandoned like that.

It was sad to see it abandoned. But this branch of the Mitchells probably never or rarely met her so she’s not the icon she was to the Square.

Where’s Ruby gone as well? With her son, Roman?

Nothing confirmed, but all signs are pointing to it and have been for a while, in my view.

Kids don't like her , her friends have abandoned her , Mick is missing and so on
Elaine comes back tomorrow with a tan and is devastated to find her in a state apparently

Phil isn't all bad, I remember him delivering Kim's baby boy (where are Kim's children lately) and he sorted Stacey out when she was being harassed by loan sharks.

He wouldn't be at all interested in me, but he'd be interesting to have an orange juice with in the pub if he was.
Ditto Sharon too , I think those two are great characters ! I'd love to visit the set and go in the Vic and have a wander round.
Linda and Phil might work if she became sober forever , but I think her and Alfie are a better match , but his back with Kat now ( which I had forgotten about till today tbh !)

Elaine is for some reason devastated again and again about Linda, she doesn't seem to have the hang of the fact she's an alcoholic living in a pub! She never gives her any support, she isn't really interested.

I agree that Alfie works very well with Linda. And I like Phil, he's a complex character not just a cartoon villain (as we've been talking about upthread!)

Today's episode - one minute Linda is saying to Sharon she'll take Albie to school and then ten minutes later is in the Albert demanding double vodka shots?
Are they allow to serve alcohol so early?

(I really hope KB leaving is just a red herring, I have a soft spot for Linda, and find her current scenes heartbreaking)
