Although the BBC have made a huge mistake in taking away our show, Classic Doctors is shown on U.

Two episodes are available daily, and are also on the app but are removed after a certain amount of time. Earlier episodes can be found on YouTube.

Thanks for this, I only started watching Doctors about a few years ago so lots to catch up on!

Thank you for this

Are you guys going to go back to the oldest one on U or start from the newest ones?

ExpertlyDecorated · 15/11/2024 07:15

Thank you

I’m up to date but happy to discuss previous episodes.

An old user name of mine is very similar, sadly can’t change mid thread anymore!

Thank you for the new thread

I watched the last episode yesterday and thought of all the fabulous MNers who used to make docTors so much fun....badger dresses, Barry, bad accents....those were the days!

Somebody did actual find an online retailer who was selling the badger dress iirc 😂

I’m so glad Barry was in the final episode and also the documentary.

Hello! Thought I would pop over and say hi!

I saw the earlier ones when they started showing them- I had a lot recorded (then I got a new Virgin box and lost them all).

I watch the classic ones when I'm feeling nostalgicGrin.

I wish the documentary had been a bit longer, and maybe featured a few more of the old cast. I under stand why some couldn't come back (Diane Keen had a stroke last year, I think).

Yeah, that was me. I put it on S&B too and got short shrift! 🤣🤣

The documentary was a bit rubbish. It wasn’t really 24 years of doctors.

No, it felt like a bit of a rush job and didn't do the programme justice at all. I really don't think the BBC realise how many fans the show has, to be honest. 25 minutes for nearly 25 years of a programme is nothing. Missed so many people out.

They could have made it and hour and covered the full 24 years. That’s what I assumed it would be. The behind the scenes thing could have been an extra.

Yes, so many cast members who’ve been loved over the years and not a mention.

Saw this pic on Barbara Nice’s Twitter earlier, looks at not so little Northern Joe at the front, I had to look twice to see who that was.

Also meant to say, all those people were probably left looking for work in an already very competitive industry ☹️

Have they really replaced Doctors with Scam Interceptors?

This is a lovely video of some of the cast recording their version of One Day Like This

I watched an episode of Classic Doctors from yesterday (first time in ages)- 'Scarlett's' dad was in it - playing a Policeman Grin So, that was quite timely.

Maybe he should have stuck at that!

Raahh · 16/11/2024 12:18

From memory, I think he played Sgt Collins for a few seasons.

(but he's a different plod in this episode)

BooseysMom · 16/11/2024 14:21

Thank you. My DF wants to know if they'll show them from the very beginning and asked me to email BBC as he can't get the other channels
